Chocolate chip cookie

Conveniently located literally steps from the Arlington T stop, and next to carbon health! Stopped by here to get a little treat after going to the doctor. It was pretty busy, but they have the process ironed out. The staff was very friendly and kind. I got the pistachio cherry tart, and the chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was SO good! I liked it better than the cookies from flour if I'm being honest. The tart was ok. It could have used more cherry, and was pretty dry. I didn't love it or hate it, but I wouldn't get it again. I'll go back to get treats again- I don't care much for their coffee (their food is better imo). One thing to note that it is a bit pricey. The tart was $7.50, which I thought was a bit steep. And the cookie was $4.25. It's a big cookie but still, that's pretty pricey. It's a great spot to go to with friends, but it's a bit loud/busy for remote work.

What a cute cafe and delicious coffee! Was visiting Boston for a quick trip from Portland. A friend used to live in the area and highly recommended we visit Tatte. I'm so glad we did! The place was packed but we were easily able to order a latte and breakfast sandwich at the counter and sat at a communal table. I will definitely come back if we're ever in the area!

Nice cafe. Lots of seating. Inviting modernized industrial looking space with spacious very tall ceilings. Ordering is easy. They have a good selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches. My niece got a smoked salmon avocado sandwich and I got the sausage egg sandwich. I was very satisfied with my sandwich. It had a good amount of scrambled egg and the sausage was topped with melted Swiss cheese and there was a full thick slice of tomato. It was very tasty. I also got the pistachio latte which had actual bits of pistachio which was a good different. My niece and I sat comfortably while eating and got caught up in conversation. She loves going here and she's tried a lot of the food items and says it's always good. Prices were reasonable.

I came here around 11am on a weekday and it was PACKED. They have small tables so it's hard to fit more than 2 people who all have a meal in them. We got the tuna sandwich, chicken pita, and chicken salad sandwich. To drink we got an iced green tea, a hot coffee, and a matcha latte. The food was great! I really like the flavors in everything and it all tasted fresh. The drinks, however, were awful. The green tea tasted heavily floral and gross... The matcha barely had any flavor. I could see myself coming back here but just for the food, I would just get a water next time for drinks. Pretty expensive as well.

I came here for coffee one morning and knew that I had to come back again to try their baked goods and breakfast. The interior of the cafe is spacious with plenty of seating and free wifi. Perfect spot to grab lunch with a friend or get some work done. Service here is stellar. I got their house latte (with cardamom syrup) the first time I went and although I thought it was a bit sweet for my liking, my friend loved it. The second time I went, we got their sparkling matcha lemonade, a cappuccino, an almond croissant, and their lamb shakshuka. I was a fan of both drinks but my friend wished their matcha lemonade was a bit sweeter (it all comes down to personal preference haha). But! Their almond croissant was so well done, and their lamb shakshuka was so flavorful, filling, and a great way to start the day. I can totally see why this spot is so busy and I would love to come again.

This location of Tatte Bakery and Cafe was just around the corner from my hotel stay in Boston and it was the ideal spot for a morning breakfast/brunch. I visited here on a Sunday morning and got lucky that I got there before it started to get busy. Got a table with my family and the staff here were incredibly friendly and recommended us some of the popular things they sold. A family member of mine had the pain au chocolat with a mixed berry tart and a pear juice. I had a homestyle breakfast, with scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, bacon, and potato fritters. The homestyle breakfast was extremely filling yet light and tasty. This was a lovely place to eat at and there was so many people coming in and it seemed like such a nice place for families as well.

Tatte Bakery has really good service and a beautiful menu, but the ordering process can feel a bit chaotic. You have to place your order first and then try to find a seat, which can be tricky during busy times. That said, the food and drinks make it worth it -- I had the pistachio latte and it was absolutely amazing. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Once you're settled, it's a great place to enjoy a treat!

Would definitely say going to Tatte is part of the quintessential Boston experience at this point. Tatte is the place to be if you want some insta-worthy pastries and drinks. Their pastries & cakes are definitely their strong suit. Today's Sour Cherry Black Forest Cake was absolutely delicious. I loved the strong dark chocolate notes paired with sour cherry to cut the sweetness. I think their drinks could be way better (my pistachio latte didn't even taste of pistachio) and they're rather overpriced for their quality. There are definitely better cafes out there, but if you're looking for aesthetics or a cozy spot to chat with friends, Tatte is always a solid choice.

This was on my top must try, and it didn't disappoint. They have several locations, but this location was right by our hotel which was perfect! The customer service was great, lots of seating in doors and outside and the breakfast meals and coffee was just as good as I was hoping for. Let's say we tried Tatte two days in a row. The location in Newbury is more crowded due to it appearing smaller and less seats. When I come back to Boston, I'll definitely be trying more on their menu!

This place is super cute, the aesthetics are definitely there! We came for breakfast, and even though the line was long, it moved fast. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and the food gets brought to your table. I had the shakshuka, and wow, it was huge! Perfect for 2 to share. The presentation was beautiful, and the bread was generous, perfectly toasted, and went so well with the tomato sauce. Absolutely delicious! The guy who brought out the shakshuka had that classic Boston/East Coast accent, which was so iconic for me to hear, he seemed funny too! And the brunette with curly hair who brought our drinks and to-go box was so sweet and friendly. I also got an iced latte, and it was really good. My only tiny regret was that we had to rush a bit to make it to the Swan Boats nearby when they opened, otherwise I would've loved to have stayed longer and gotten a pastry. Love that they have other locations around the city. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Boston!

We are from California visiting Boston for the weekend, and this was the best little café that we could have ever found. The best thing about this café, is that they're located in various places around the Boston area. The vibes are great, once you walk inside, there's a lot of people doing work on laptops, it's like a modern Starbucks vibe. Seat is very limited, so if you go during peak hours, all I have to say is good luck finding a seat. We eventually did find seats, while we are waiting for our show to start in the theater down the street. We got two coffees and two pastries. And all I have to say is that these pastries did not disappoint at all. Neither did the coffee. Definitely recommend this place. If you're looking for a quick stop coffee shop. Or if you're just looking for a bit with a cup of coffee.

Great food and coffee!! Got the traditional shakshuka - loved the flavors and really liked the cheese on top. Perfect balance of tang and spices. Nice ambience - can get very busy over the weekend. Quick service and friendly staff. Their latte was great. They have lots of pastries that looked really good too

Chicken Pita

I've been to multiple Tatte Bakery & Cafe locations and every single one has been cozy, inviting, and full of charm! We got the short rib grilled cheese which was delicious! Their housemade challah really hit the spot. It was just so light and crunchy. Also had the Chicken Pita which was beyond what I expected. Every bite was flavorful, balanced, and it was not heavy at all. Every single ingredient in there was just lovely and the bread itself was something I could definitely eat all day! Also had their red lentil soup paired with bread and wow! Just wow! It was a cold day and I just wanted soup but this soup really hit the park. It was creamy, velvety, and packed with spices that just made it so comforting on a cold day. We came back another time just for this soup! Definitely a great place for anytime of the day.

Walking through the front door is like walking through a secret portal to Italy (I'm not kidding). The smells and sights of fresh meat hanging from the ceiling is what I imagine heaven to be like! I ordered the Italian sub. First of all, it is HUGE in both length and circumference. One sub can easily be split between two people. The bread-to-meat ratio is perfect. I could taste each individual ingredient with every bite, which is a unique experience that only happens when everything is fresh and flavorful as can be. I think this place just ruined subs for me because no other will come close to being THIS good. If I were on death row, this sandwich would be part of my last meal. I feel like I cannot adequately put into words just how amazing it is. Do yourself a favor and check this place out sooner than later! :)

As the name "Mercato" implies, it's not a restaurant, so no place to eat, no place to "do your business" after, and if you've made it to the north end, you already know there's no place to park. -- Italian Sandwich: Long, soft bread, kinda like the kind you had in your school cafeteria, only a million times softer, a million times more crackly, and a million times better. Setting the base are oil, balsamic vinegar, lettuce, tomato, pickles, hots, and provolone. Italian sandwiches usually come flat-stacked or in a C-shape. Here, it's a fluffy stack, with the VERY-thin-sliced-to-order meats-- prosciutto, mortadella, salami-- piled generously but delicately, like tissue paper. More oil and balsamic on the other side seals the deal. It's a glorious sandwich that'll fill you up with the first half, but you'll want to keep eating the second half, because it's so good. The deep flavors of the meats comes through, and that's soft, crunchy bread is a delight. Pro tip #1: Get it with a small side of pesto. Have some bites with, some bites without. Pro tip #2 (in more ways than one): Plan your restroom visit at the nearby Boston Public Market. Pro tip #3: Plan your eating near the Paul Revere statue on Hanover Street, at the basketball court down Stillman Street, or on the Greenway down Hanover Street.

My first introduction…read moreended up being at a corporate event in Boston's Seaport district, where lunch arrived courtesy of one of the city's best-known sandwich shops. The catering was impressive. Before anyone even took a bite. Every half sandwich was individually wrapped and clearly labeled, with salads and sides neatly organized, making it easy for a large group to grab lunch without the usual catering chaos. The choices were wide and varied. We took our lunches upstairs to a rooftop seating area overlooking the Seaport, which made for a pretty great setting on a beautiful afternoon. I chose the Gobbler, and it lived up to the hype I've since read in other reviews. At first glance it sounds like a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich, but it's much more than that. The turkey was fresh and flavorful, and it was complemented by stuffing, cranberry sauce, spinach, pepper jack cheese, and just enough chipotle mayo to add an unexpected kick, without overwhelming everything else. It's one of those combinations that sounds busy on paper but comes together remarkably well. I spoke with several others over lunch, and they were equally impressed with their choices. That's always a good sign when you're feeding a crowd. It's one thing to make a great sandwich to order; it's another to deliver dozens of them catered while maintaining that level of quality. Since this was catered, I can't really comment on the restaurant itself. The service on the catering side, however, was evident in how thoughtfully everything was prepared and packaged, and the rooftop setting where we enjoyed lunch certainly didn't hurt. Needless to say, this won't be my last Sam LaGrassa's sandwich. I fully intend to visit the restaurant one of these days, and in the meantime I'll spend some time trying to recreate that Gobbler at home (maybe with sliced roasted chicken, but also with turkey when I have it). It was that good.

He ate his fresh and liked it enough to want to go back. He felt it was big enough to split into 2 meals, which is a plus since the prices here are pretty steep. I had mine cold, so I didn't like it as much. The tomatoes made the bread soggy, but the sandwich was packed with pastrami. The pickles they give though... so good and a perfect bite in between each sandwich bite or a good lil snack at the end. I like how they pack everything for take out. The boxes are secure, they don't skimp on the sauces and wrap them in plastic wrap and the pickles are in mini ziploc bags to ensure the juices don't spill on everything. Very thoughtful packaging. Since I ordered for pick up, they do have curbside where you double park out front and they can bring it to you, or you can run in and tell them the name it's under and they'll hand it to you when ready. For a Tuesday afternoon, service is not fast nor slow. The inside of the restaurant gave deli vibes, which I personally like. It's quite busy and they have some cool signs and photos up. I'll definitely be back to try it fresh!

As of August 2026, the website lists the burrito as $14, but the price on the in-person menu was $16. I would give the burrito 4 out of 5 stars because of the way it was wrapped - about a third of the burrito was just egg and cheese and the toppings (avocado, red onion, hash browns, salsa verde, crema) were crammed on the other side of the burrito. If there was a way for the burrito to be wrapped so all the ingredients were more evenly distributed - this would easily be a 5/5 breakfast burrito. One random detail that stuck out to me was that their drinks in their refrigerator were very cold - no lukewarm sodas here! I would come back here to try their signature "Fancy" sandwich. Overall, this is a very solid breakfast spot in Boston!

The sandwiches were delicious, especially the Calabria, packed with prosciutto, spicy soppressata, hot capicola, sharp provolone, Calabrian chili aioli, and arugula. They couldn't substitute the arugula, so I skipped it but it was still the star of the show. My husband had the roast beef and it was good, but the Calabria won.
