I stopped in with my kids for lunch last Sat. It was a spur of the moment decision and this place did not disappoint. Wowza, was this good. The spot wasn't too busy (it was late for lunch) and we were seated immediately. It is a sit down restaurant but has a fast casual feel. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had the broccoli Shrimp and Sichuan hot soup. It arrived in short order and we got to munching. These were pretty large portions and the flavors were a great. The price was right too and we had to bring some home to munch later. I wish this was closer to me, because ZI would definitely come back to try more of the menu. Tasty Pot is a gem! It's a little out of the way, but so worth visiting! The staff was very knowledgeable of the menu items and made some wonderful suggestions to us! We ended up trying the Japanese miso broth since we were in the mood for something a little lighter/clear, but I can't wait to come back and try some of the different broths that look deliciously spiced and bright red! Nonetheless, the Japanese miso broth was excellent. We ended up also ordering the Sweet Soy Garlic Beef Sizzling which was rich in beefy flavor and tasted indulgent... a true treat! At the end of our meal, they asked us if we would like a complimentary scoop of ice cream and that was such a nice touch after consuming hot/steamy dishes! My son doesn't like to cook his own food if he's paying for it while I love hot pot. Compromise = Tasty Pot. He loved the one pot concept where it's all in and he doesn't have to cook the food himself. I love seafood and tomyum soup. So I ordered the seafood lobster hot soup with Thai soup. Yummy. The lobster was good. And I opted out of calamari and squid and added more of other ingredients. A lot of food with good amount of veggies. Tasty Pot was recommended on a Facebook group I'm in, and since I'm a big hot pot fan, I had to go check it out. So glad I did! Since it was my first time at Tasty Pot, I was really appreciative that multiple staff members were happy to explain the menu and process. They even recommended how much of each sauce to put in the small dish to dip your hot pot goodies in. I also liked that the broths and ingredients were clearly listed (and you can remove ingredients if you don't like something), that there were spice level options, and a choice of rice or vermicelli (upcharge for udon or ramen). I went with the #1 beef hot pot and my husband chose #10 Japanese miso hot pot. Both were amazing! I think I liked the miso broth more, but that's just because I love me some miso. Both hot pots were packed with super tasty ingredients. Really loved the taro, beef, and imitation crab in the beef hot pot. Honestly, you can't go wrong with your choice. I was also super excited that they have five spice popcorn chicken since it's hard to find in the area. The former building use to be a Schlotzsky's drive through and the interior art decor reminds me of a noodle shop in Raohe night market in Taipei. Upon looking at their website, it says they started in San Jose CA, an authentic Taiwanese individual hotpot chain with over 30 locations on the west coast and expanding east. I've had this place book marked forever but finally got to visit during lunch. The menu is pre set on a combo # that you order to make it simple. The popcorn chicken is crispy similar to a raising canes across the street. Since it was my first time I ordered the #9 Taiwanese soup Mild. The pork bone soup base was ok and the beef slices on top was already cooked, not raw like at other hot pot places. #6 veggie is the only non-pork soup wish they would have a beef based broth which is what I prefer. Overall I was rating 4 stars but the add on options and the complimentary sweet tea tilted this place to a 5 star. The A-Cha bobas looked legit since boba was invented in Taiwan. FYI- I see a lot of eaters asking if restaurants use MSG (monosodium glutamate). Most toxic marketing from the 1960s attacking Chinese restaurants have been debunked. MSG is generally safe per FDA and the WHO. MSG is found in potato chips, soup flavoring, salad dressing, deli meats, parmesan cheese, tomato sauce, most condiments including ketchup. So next time when you're eating a pizza, just know that it probably has a ton of MSG in it. read more

Disappointing, overpriced and got food poisoning. If you have never had hot pot, this is a fine entry point. It will likely make future experiences feel amazing cause this sets the bar somewhat low. Our honest rating is a 2.5 star. It's very middle of the road but not in a good way. We walked in to pleasant aromas and were seated immediately. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped guide us to our food choices. That was probably the best part of the experience. Our biggest complaint in general was the quality of ingredients. That and lack of attention by the server. We were left alone for a long time, which was exasperated by the fact our waters were empty and we had to ask repeatedly for more. To the extent I just asked for a pitcher, but they didn't do that. My wife got a boba with non-dairy creamer. The flavor was very mild, and while we have had lactose free boba that was good, this was not one of them. The Cheese wontons were probably the best food item we had. The wonton was crispy and thick, the cheese was a typical filling. So all in all it was good. I got the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup at a medium spice level. The flavors were fine. Nothing exciting. The beef was chewy and tough, or was entirely gristle and fatty chucks. The crab was imitation, the clams were tiny and there weren't many at all. I'm not going to claim I knew what everything in the bowl was. But what I did recognize was generally disappointing. My wife got the soy garlic sizzling beef. When asked how it was she gave me a shrug and a "meh". The quality of the meat again seemed to be a problem. It was chewy and stringy. The noodles were fine. But after she had finished it was agreed that both of our meals were a little disappointing. I'll finish with some highlights. The presentation in itself was pretty good across the board. They do a good job of making their dishes look very appealing. It smelled good and looked good. Again the staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly, but not very attentive. This could have just been an off night for them. The food was edible, non of it got sent back. We didn't even consider that as an option. It was fine, it was food, it just didn't seem like very good quality. We both agreed that next time we will just go to the Asian Market, get higher quality ingredients, make these dishes ourselves and probably spend less than we did on this meal. For two entrees, one appetizer and a boba we spent over $70. For a place we were looking forward to, we both left apologizing to each other that it wasn't better. read more

Best hot pot in the Denver metro area! Having tried lots of hot pot over the years in Colorado, I can say with confidence that this newcomer to the scene is better than the rest. They have a bomb broth selection (like savory Taiwanese or aromatic Thai curry), make it to the spice level you prefer, add in the perfect combination of ingredients, and allow all sorts of customization. Better flavors and pre-set combos than you'll find anywhere else. Only down side is that it's down on S Parker Rd, but it's worth the drive! This was a cozy spot to stop by after a long and cold day! The service was amazing. The staff were super helpful and gave good recommendations on the level of spices. They said the medium spicy level is akin to Sriracha and it was accurate! Members of my party got the medium Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup which was spicy and delicious. It had the same level of spice as the very spicy Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup one which was also a good level of spice. The food comes with its own pot and flame which keeps the soup warm or boiling hot if you prefer! You can control the heat or shut the flame off as well. I got the Beef Hot Soup with a level of no spice. I got the Hokkaido Milk Tea with boba and it was super good. Unfortunately, a majority of the drinks are made with regular milk. There are a few dairy-free options but not a lot so be prepared to bring some Lactaid! For the price, there's a lot of food that comes with it. However, I would have ready gone to a hot pot where I can select all of the options I wanted (which isn't the concept of Tasty Pot). I ordered the number 1 (beef) and while it was tasty, there were some veggies in there I wasn't a fan of and didn't realize until it came out. I definitely prefer the hot pot places more where I can choose the broth type and then pick add ons to my soup. It does come boiling hot. There are signs around your dining area that will tell you how to turn the "mini pot" off. Don't be like me and my friends questioning why ours were still so hot even after 20 minutes of waiting for it to cool down. I also ordered the hokkaido milk tea and it tasted too watered down. Not my favorite. My friend got the taro and that was the better option of the two. read more

Some of you may know (but I noticed not yet mentioned in other reviews) is that Tasty Pot is a franchise. I've had it before in San Diego so knew what to expect! If you prefer to choose your own meats/veggies/toppings, you might be better off at another hotpot restaurant. Tasty Hotpot has pre-determined pots (meaning you order a combo of meats/seafood/veggies/soups from the menu). You may be able to do some substitutions and you can also choose the spice level. Other than that, there's less flexibility when it comes to choosing what goes in your bowl. However, they've done the work for you and figured out the best flavors that go together. Each bowl comes with a choice or vermicelli noodles or rice. This helps make the meal more filling. As I was trying to feed my 1 year old, I went with the non spicy miso soup! It was super flavorful! I'm not one who must have spicy for every dish, so I would definitely order this again! Also ordered the winter melon juice which enhanced the meal! read more

TP's menu has a dozen of different broth/soup options plus a variety of possible add-ons. You can also customize your order as well as the spice level from none/mild to flaming spicy. Plus, carb up and choose from rice, vermicelli noodles, or ramen noodles with your soup base. Oh. And they also have juice and teas that you can add toppings to such as boba, pudding, and jellies. With any hot pot, I highly recommend to pair your meal with their Milk Creme Winter Melon with (or without) boba balls. I don't know what more to say except to try Tasty Pot.
