I wasn't sure if it opened as I didn't see anybody inside at first. Then we opened the door and stepped inside, and called out. We found the employee sitting behind the counter, but the counter was so big that it obstructed our view of knowing they were there. Upon looking around, they had a nice assortment of pastries and baked goods, along with wrapped sandwiches from earlier in the day. I spied the baked goods section and could not resist getting a chocolate chip cookie as we eyed their baked goods. We decided to share since I need to watch my calories during the holidays. I want to celebrate Christmas, and not look like Santa. The employee there made two lattes for us and asked if we would like her to heat the cookie. Yes, please and thank you! Upon sitting down, I noticed the big grease mark on the napkin, so it should be noted that their cookies are made with high butter content. The chocolate chip cookie, though generously chipped and served delightfully warm, fell a bit flat on flavor. Similarly, the latte, while hot and satisfying, was overwhelmingly milky, lacking the robust punch of a quality espresso. Here is how it ranked: Chocolate Chip cookie: 3.5/5 stars. Good texture, high butter content, but flat taste. Latte: 3.5/5 stars. Nice and hot, good alternative milk option, but too mild on espresso. This cafe is a perfectly pleasant spot for a moment of refuge and a hot cup of something, especially if you're not concerned with a full-bodied coffee experience or a truly exceptional baked good. If you're out and about needing to warm up, it does the trick.

We tried a mango pineapple smoothie which is only made with almond milk. Unfortunately, with an almond allergy we asked them to use water only, so the consistency was different, but was still tasty. We also tried the crispy chicken wrap, Caesar salad wrap, grilled protein bowl, and a Dubai chocolate cheese cake. Everything was ok to good. It was all very fresh, but the steak in the protein bowl was chewy, some things lacked a little flavor, while others were very flavorful. So just a bit inconsistent. Service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is intimate and cute. I would return if in the area, and try something different.

But I'm giving them five stars because of the staff. They were incredibly friendly and so sweet to my toddler, who was definitely not on his best behavior. They even gave us a free drink to try. Their kindness and patience made me a customer for life, especially since I was juggling an indecisive human and a cranky toddler. We ordered the shrimp and salmon wrap, the tenders and fries, a Turkish soda, and a fountain drink. The wraps were flavorful and delicious. The salmon tasted fresh and wasn't overcooked. The Turkish soda was something I'd never tried before, and I was amazed by how light yet flavorful it was, all while having half the sugar of regular sodas. They also have parking, which is a huge plus, and they offer delivery themselves. Overall, such a great experience!

I enjoyed it so much that I decided to return yesterday. This time, I went alone. I was excited to go back, until the moment I walked in and was immediately asked whether I had a reservation. I said no. I was one person, and there were plenty of empty tables. Despite that, I was placed in a freezing corner by the door. It was uncomfortable and honestly unwelcoming. Nowhere on your website does it say "reservations only," yet that's exactly how I was treated. I felt so uncomfortable that I chose to leave without even placing an order. I walked in ready to spend money and enjoy a meal, and instead I walked out feeling dismissed. You lost a paying customer. What makes this worse is that I later told the same friend I originally went with, and she shared that when she calls ahead for a party of two, they simply tell her to come in because there are plenty of seats and that reservations aren't even required. So clearly, reservations are not the issue. That makes the way I was treated feel intentional and different. As a Palestinian who spends a lot of time in Paterson, I'm very familiar with Middle Eastern restaurants and pricing. Lentil soup is a staple on our menus. I know what a reasonable price looks like. For example, Kral Pide in Paterson charges $7. Charging $15 for lentil soup is excessive. It's not just high, it's outrageous. I'm extremely disappointed. I came back because I genuinely liked this place. Instead, I left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone, nor will I be bringing friends or family to this establishment again.

No salad is complete without its share of homemade apple vinaigrette dressing. A dinner roll is also included. My Pesto Panini: This panini was loaded with pesto, tomatoes, red onions, and mixed greens. The grilled chicken blended perfectly with this sandwich; it was packed very well as nothing fell out. Each visit I've ordered at the counter and received my grub lickety-split. My only two issues - it's not cheap and this mini-mall can be savage (especially in this half - close to the TJ Maxx and dollar store) so parking can be rough. Regarding the cost - the quality of the food is noticeable, the portions are substantial, and I've been able to have leftovers the next day for my paninis. So far I've tried a hot one (chicken) and cold (tuna) and both were incredible. And I'm not sure what kind of witchcraft is being practiced here but one of my kids has not liked or eaten bananas since he was a toddler. Him and his crew will come here for lunch once in a blue and what's his go-to order? The Nutella Protein Toast which has... yup, bananas. How did that happen but he still won't have a banana at home? Also worth mentioning their takeout container is "earth-friendly" and recyclable. Definitely recommended. (And with "Salad" in their name I'm pretty sure my cardiologist won't give me grief!)
