The waitress came back with the appetizer and I actually placed another drink order as well before my second drink came because I wanted to stay ahead of the game. 2nd and 3rd drinks actually came at a reasonable time and I started feeling like the night was turning around. Spoiler Alert: It wasn't. Entrees were delivered and surprise surprise, the food that was ordered with mine was delivered but mine was not. Waited for another long period of time and then my food was delivered. Was an apology of any sort ever given, no. Our waitress came to check back on the table very sparingly to the point we were waiting to place a dessert order so long we decided to take it to go. Ordered the monkey bread, got back to eat it and all the dough was raw. $200 bill between food and drinks for my wife and I and an appetizer for the table(there were others and other bills as well), still tipped 20% but there I would never recommend this restaurant for the service or the food. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I ordered the off-menu Steak Frites with broccolini and fries. The steak was charred perfectly on the outside and moist and at the lovely medium temp on the inside. The broccolini was on point with just a bit of spice from the red pepper. Fries were shoestring style, and they did it right with that perfect crisp on the outside and soft inside. I learned that Thursdays are paella night! What a great surprise in downtown Dallas! When in the city again, this will absolutely be my go to place for cocktails and great food.
