Still open during this whole CoronaVirus shutdown! Today I picked up a brown sugar milk tea with boba, it was delicious! This is my go to drink of choice. I get it with regular sweetness and it's pretty sweet. Be sure to pick up a tea and send them some local business. read more

Great service....super fast...affordable!!!! Love it l! Especially pearlridge! You're the best!!!!

It may be a bit difficult to find this location for those that are not familiar with the Kaimuki area. You can find parking on the side street near St. Patrick School, or park in the parking lot in the back, where Times, Longs, Cookie Corner, etc. is. The entrance for Taste Tea is located on Waialae Avenue. I love Taste Tea's boba!! They always give a generous amount of tasty boba, not mattering the location. When I drink my teas, I like it when I still have boba towards the end of my drink. Who likes drinking milk tea with no boba? :P I like that Taste Tea gives enough boba, allowing you to continuously sip on your tea without having to worry if you'll run out or not at the end. My favorite drinks are the milk tea and peach black tea. For the most part, their drinks are pretty consistent. You choose your sweetness level, and you can also sample it and adjust it according to your taste. I like Taste Tea's milk tea the best because it's not too milky. I like it when my milk tea has just the right amount of black tea. At this location only, they offer snow ice. They have their signature creations, or you can customize your own if you desire to. Also at this location only, they have a student special. Buy one, get one 50% off, Mon-Fri (after 7pm), and Sat-Sun (all day). At this location and also at Kapiolani, they have an Instagram happy hour repost special. Buy 1 get 1 free, Mon-Thurs (5-8pm). Lastly, at all locations, you can check-in on Yelp and get 20% off 1 drink. Besides their wonderful drinks, I love that their prices are lower than other boba places. Their service is also great. They make the drinks quickly, allowing you to conveniently grab your drink and go. read more

This is my daughter's favorite place to get boba tea, and while I am not a fan of those tapioca boba balls, they have a variety of teas which you can order with or without them. It's nice they have a place to sit in there where you can sip your tea and chat with a friend, as I did recently. You can select different degrees of sweetness for your drink. I think I ordered mine with fifty percent the last time, and it was just fine. One thing I wish was that there were more non-alcoholic places like this in town and that they would stay open later than 9pm. The staff have been consistently friendly and helpful in terms of making suggestions, which I really appreciate. read more

Taste Tea has two things going for them - their prices are lower than most other bubble drink places, and they can whip out their drinks quickly. This location is great because it's in Kaimuki which is less congested than Ala Moana, and it's located in a small strip mall so you can kill two or three birds with one stone (marketing at Times, Longs, and refresher at Taste Tea). read more

Tried this place for the first time this week. Great value and fast service. The only reason that they weren't given 5 stars is because they ran out of boba due to an influx of customers earlier in the day. Would recommend going here if in the area. read more

No wonder why I felt sick everytime I had their drink. BE AWARE!! Their so called "non dairy creamer" they label is just coffee mate. Coffee creamer. In other words purely processed! Congratulations, you are drinking 16 or 20 fl. ounce of pure coffee creamer. I was shocked but not surprised this is how marketing goes by misleading and making it sound good to attract consumers. Now it makes me wonder about the rest of the boba places. I've asked another boba spot whats in their "non dairy creamer" and the girl didn't even know! She just said, "It's processed." If I die I won't die from covid, I'll probably die from boba. Lol read more

I'm a fan of their oolong milk tea and jasmine milk tea. Great pick me up before I go to work in the afternoons. Boba is always cooked to a perfect chew. Service is always quick. Inside has a few tables to sit at. There's also free wifi! read more

This is the only boba place me and my fiancé tried during our vacation in hawaii! We are from boston and we were soooo surprised at the fact that we could sample our drink to make sure the sweetness level is where we would like it to be!!! (Amazing friendly staff too!) I wish boba tea places where we live could do this! But anyway the tea was very good! (just got classic milk tea) I did not regret stopping by here for a drink. They even have the small tapioca/boba which was a plus for us! read more

Super disappointed in this place. They have a special on Saturday - Sunday that gives 50% off the second tea bought when you buy one. However the sign says you need a school ID However some of our kids do not have school ID's since their school doesn't give them out. The kids are 10-12. They are all dressed in their basketball uniforms. If they are not students, then what are they? Are they not going to school? You would think common sense would supersede a policy. It's pretty disappointing that the two workers here and their supervisor wouldn't honor a special. But now we know that the special isn't really to honor kids. Seriously? What kids carry around an ID at age 10-12 Well, we will never come here again. read more

Taste Tea - They don't believe the children are in school even though they are age 10-12. You need an ID to prove they are in school they told us. - Bubble Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I really enjoy the blended drinks here and their boba is always nice and chewy and not overcooked or old. My mom usually always gets a blended lilikoi black tea. I love the blended almond milk tea (reminds me of almond jello dessert). We get ours half sweet with boba and are regulars at the Waialae location. Sad they closed the Ala Moana location, but happy we still have this location! read more

I came for the $1 drinks during grand opening. It was the most amazing experience because you can't get it at that price anymore. It happened over that grand opening weekend. So nice of them. My experience was satisfied. Got my milk tea and tasted great. Even with all that crowd and craziness, they mixed up some good milk tea. Love their matcha jelly and pudding toppings. I have bad memories because it has been a while, so I do not remember what I ordered. But it was good and I could adjust my sweet level. read more

Staff friendly, seating area clean & spacious, products delicious, prices reasonable.

Just visited there and it was interesting. I wanted to try it since I had to wait for my food at Fairwood. I walked down from Fairwood and there was no one in the store but several workers. I walked in, dead silence and no one said anything. It's like back in high school, when you walk into a room and the people in there don't want you there. But I wanted to try so I stayed. I tried to figure out what board to read first and what combinations I could get. I approached the counter and the sales associate helped me figure out what I wanted. I ended up getting a lychee tea with lychee jello. I like it but it has a bite to it. I am still drinking and getting used to it. It's growing on me. Personally, if there is no customers in there and there are a lot of workers, try to make that one person who enters feel welcome, not awkward. A little more customer service would have been nice. Suggestions maybe. I'll be back and will be trying some thing else. read more

Newly open. Driving to Chaminade nearly everyday my sister noticed this place, and if you read my reviews you know about my Milk Tea adventures with my sister. Lol. This location is mauka side of the plaza where Times, Longs, and Pho 27. So it's facing outwards to Waialae Ave. Parking: shared with the rest of the plaza Price: similar to other tea places such as Teapresso Service: excellent, and fast! They have stamp cards so make sure you pick one up! I actually got their honeydew melon green tea, with no add-ins and it's good. I usually hate tea. My sister got a coconut milk tea with coconut jelly and matcha jelly. But she said the drink wasn't as coconut-ty. It tastes good to me. :) read more

LOCATION: Waikele! Came here with no cash, just debit. They accept cards BUT minimum is $5 meaning, you either buy a large with extra toppings OR 2 cups. Our cashier were so friendly! It's really convenient from my house, rather than driving all the way down to town. 5 Stars to you for setting up/choosing the best locations! Lol read more

Went on the 4th anniversary of Taste Tea's existence, yay! The line was quick and the workers were very efficient and friendly. I got the taro milk tea with 25% sweet and it hit the spot! So good and refreshing on a hot day. The location is perfect as it is right by schools and is in a busy shopping center. Nice addition to Kaimuki :) read more

Convienent location in the Kaimuki Shopping Center! Heads up that the entrance is actually on the outside (by the street) rather than on the inside in the parking lot. I was walking back and forth from Times to the Hibiscus trying to figure out how to find the place lol. Customer service was good - the worker was patient with me and able to take my order even tho I could barely talk and sounded like a man from my cold lol :) Drink tasted as good as it normally does from the Ala Moana location. Design of the place looks a little odd because the floors look unfinished and are still concrete. Also, It's not that big of a issue but for some reason the shop looks too dim/dark. I was hoping to sit inside and enjoy my tea on my lunch break but there was a TON of screaming high school kids after 3pm (Line to put in a order was out the door) , which is when my lunch break is so I just took my drink back to work instead. read more

I been wanting to go here because I pass by this location every time I head to work. I tried other taste tea locations so needed to try here. This taste tea is smaller than the other locations with very little staff. I believe when I went in on a Tuesday lunch time there was one person working. However, not that many customers was at this location at the time I went. I got the passion fruit green tea, half sweet, and with boba. I been writing a lot about the Kapiolani location because that is where I usually go to get my boba tea. This place gets five stars because the the tea was good having a nice taste to it and the boba was really good. The flavor of the boba was good, and the texture was very soft and jelly like. read more

My sons and I enjoy these drinks anytime we feel like we need a bit of sugar and good moods! This is often after a long day of work and or school in my son's case, these drinks always help get us through the week. I would love to give them a 5-star review as this is our go-to boba spot but unfortunately, they often run out of boba by the time we get there! This is pretty understandable as it is an extremely busy location even in these hard times but we are often left pretty disappointed because of it. I hope they fix this minor issue but other than that its phenomenal! read more

My kid loves these drinks so we stopped by on our way to Fairwood since we were in the area. Parking is in the structure but entrance is on Waialae. Strange, but not a deal-breaker. Having read the reviews, I did not go in expecting to be treated like a queen, as we normally just order and go from these types of places. The staff are not rude, just...kinda there. Like students wAiting to take ur order. We went on Sunday afternoon around 1pm so there were no school kids in line, but there definitely were patrons. My kid ordered a small classic milk tea $3.75 with large tapioca (extra $.50) and I ordered a small honeydew. Both at % sweetness. I usually ask for 50%. They offer to let you taste it before completing it as well. My daughter tasted it before hand whereas I didn't. We both enjoyed ours and it did not taste too sweet like some other places. I would've liked a stronger honeydew taste, but it was acceptable. They also serve other sweets in their showcase. My kid wanted tiramisu and I eyed the fat brownie, but since desserts were given up this year, we left with our drinks. All in all, we would return. You're not buying a car so I'm not sure what salesmanship other patrons are looking for. I didn't feel pressured to order and took my time reading the extensive menu. They have a frequent drinker program, so be sure to join. read more

Terrible service. Slow line. Rude cashiers. I started to give my order and the cashier kept cutting me off, even after I had already said most of my order. She also ignored a lady standing on the side, who's order was made wrong. Milk tea still tasted fine, though. read more

Went back today, 5:30pm on 1/04/17 and was still not real impressed. Got the blended peach with black tea and large boba. My server/cashier had a poor, snotty attitude and was sooo not helpful. My total for the drink came out to $4.98. But they don't take card for under $5 and would not or could figure out how to add $.02 to the transaction to round up to $5 so I added coconut jelly for a $5.45 total. I checked and still no wifi password posted but there is now a sticker saying they have wifi. I wasn't up to dealing with the snotty attitude again, so I just took my drink and went back to the bus stop. NOW I will say that I really really enjoyed my tea. It was probably the best I've had in a while....Like the product but not the staff. so I upped to the rating to 5 stars because the tea was excellent but took off 2 stars for staff attitude and lack of password. --------- went once more today 1/05 @ about 5:15....cause I really liked the tea from yesterday. different girl, was very polite and friendly. curious thing thou...got the exact same drink but cost me less than $5 lol so may come back read more

I found the boba to be kind of watery in my opinion. The tapioca balls didn't really taste right to me either. I prefer the boba to be a little softer, but these ones just kind of tasted solid. I would only go if I had friends who wanted to go here but I wouldn't come back of my own accord. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Terrible customer service from the skinny and nerdy Japanese boy. I had ordered just add-ons of azuki beans and tapioca with no problem the day before. He gave me a hard time and said they cannot do that. I said they helped me yesterday. He proceeded to ask me who helped me. I would think if you want to keep customers you would be happy to sell add-ons. They are always slow and have long lines. Now I will go to the Teapresso down the street. You should too! read more

I came here on their soft opening on 10/27/16. The storefront is facing Waialae Ave, which I thought was odd since you have to walk around the building after you park. There is lots of parking in the shopping center though, which is a good thing. There are maybe 6 or 7 tables inside and a few counter seats against the window, but all of them were already packed with students. The interior has a modern feel to it, but it was still very much unfinished. They only had pudding in their refrigerated glass case at the time, but all their drinks were available for purchase. I got a medium milk tea with large boba, and it tastes the same as the Kapiolani location. I'm excited to come back in a few weeks once they've really settled in! read more

Recently, this has been one of our "go to" spots for bubble tea. I must say there has been much improvement in their service and the quality continues to be great! My mom and I love to have a weekly treat of taste tea. We usually go here on Saturdays, but sometimes I just go here with my friends. The flavors are very refreshing, and it never gets boring for me. I first came here when the one on Wailalae Avenue opened. Many of my classmates had been raving about this place, so I went to check it out. This soon became one of my favorite drinking places. The staff is relatively pretty nice. I like to be extra nice to them to see if that makes their attitude more positive. Sometimes I have a little conversation with them. Let me just describe my experience in the most non bias way possible. First, I walked in and was not greeted but was stared at in the eyes while looking at the menu. Then I ordered a Strawberry Taro blended tea with almond milk. A few problems here... 1) apparently they don't mix flavors. 2) they don't have any non-dairy milks. 3) they don't have thick straws. Instead I was recommended a Fruity Pebbles blended tea, which was okay. I've had better boba from places such as Mr. Tea. I'd say save yourself the $5 and just keep looking. read more

My daughter loves this place. I'm not a tea drinker. I had gotten her a gift card for Easter since she is in her teens and it wasn't loaded with the money I paid and put on it in store. I brought up the issue to the store manager and he was able to help me figure out what happened. They were just updating their systems and it didn't go through properly. It took him a few days because he to investigate and talk to his employees. I didn't mind as he kept in contact with me the entire time. He was able to reload the card and even gave me 2 free drinks and apologized for the inconvenience. read more

Right down the road from house. Very convenient. I use to go to the one by ala moana and so happy they finally opened one closer. I love my milk teas with the azuki beans and big boba. I have a bit of a sweet tooth so I always get my drink regular sweet or extra sweet. They'll also let you try it first to see if it'll fit your taste preferences. On hot days, I usually get the mango ice tea with pineapple pieces for a refreshment. The girls that work there are nice. read more

New location for taste tea. Store is located on waialae so park in the back by Times. They have a student special if you have a school ID which gives you the second drink at 50% off.
