This review is for Lorenzo. He's a Sales Associate in the Tech Dept. Lorenzo is an EXCELLENT employee who went above and beyond trying to help me find an item. I had asked another employee about the item and that employee walked over to the empty shelf and said sorry looks like we are sold out. Lorenzo overheard our conversation and asked if he could help. He checked his inventory scanner and said it looked like the item was in the stock room. Lorenzo went to the stock room and found an entire case of the item I was looking for. I really appreciated Lorenzo taking the time to double check the inventory. I wish more employee's would have the same work ethic as Lorenzo. As I was leaving the store I stopped at Guest Services and spoke to Kimberly the store manager and put a good word in for Lorenzo. I hope he gets the acknowledgement he deserves. By far the worst Target around. Customer service in the sales floor and registers is nonexistent. I continued using the pharmacy for a while even after I stopped shopping other areas of the store and finally decided to just have my prescriptions transferred after they screwed up again. They've taken over a week giving my new pharmacy the run around and refusing to transfer my prescriptions. If they don't resolve it by Monday I'm going to have to call my doctor and see if I can get him to just write new prescriptions for my new pharmacy. I've never dealt with such pettiness and incompetence. read more

I go here a lot and am generally a fan of Target. However, in recent years, Target's prices seemed to have gone up a little bit. Also, particularly at this Target, I am frequently overcharged for items that are supposed to be on sale. Be sure to check your receipt. A lot of the time I have to go to Guest Services to have them adjust my payment, since they overcharged me. Another interesting thing about this Target is that the whole store shakes/vibrates when a car enters the parking garage below. read more

The exchange and returns section weren't helpful at all. I happened to get my nephew a faulty switch that wouldn't turn back on after his first use. so i went in just to do an exchange hoping if they didn't have one they would at least place an order seeing that I'm still in the 30 day window. instead I'm told that I should drive around and find a target with one even after I told her that no target within 100 miles in our area has one she tells me well I guess you just have to keep looking. I'm not one for reviews but that's just not right I told her I have until the 25th and then i cant return it and she just shrugs like its not her problem. I understand everything in the world is crazy right now but pretty much being told figure it out yourself is really messed up i got no help whatsoever. I even contacted customer service the night before and was told to go in store just for someone in store to tell me they cant help me. there's no reason to give someone the run around for no real reason she didn't even want to help me look for other stores because she knew when I told her no one in 100 miles has stock that i was already screwed but that's just bad on the company. the only thing she left me with was that I should just order another one online which means i have to spend another $300 plus shipping and to figure out what to do with the broken one I have now read more

Things this Target has going on: - New/upgraded food section. Now it's not the same as having a grocery store, but it's nice to have more options when you need to grab something quick and don't want to deal with the lines at Safeway - Their lines move REALLY fast - For the most part it's clean and well stocked - It was three blocks from my old apartment :) The thing that makes me rate this Target down a star is that it just seems cramped. I know it's actually a fairly large store, but the ceilings are low and the aisles are squished together, so when you're shopping at peak hours its impossible to get around without some crazy oblivious man/woman yakking on his/her cell phone with three children, ready to mow you over, with no elbow room to save yourself. I'm somewhat aghast that I still haven't reviewed this Target location, seeing as I've been here well over 20 times over the last 5 years whenever we're in the Creek. These days, we come here mostly to pick up supplies and clothes for the baby. While I used to buy some DVDs and music at Target, though, I now prefer to make such purchases online for better selection and pricing. Still, Target's a great place and this location in particular is always clean and friendly. It's also nice that they have a Starbucks up front so you can get your caffeine fix while you're shopping! read more

I love the Walnut Creek Target! The Pharmacy Sales Associates are so nice. They reconize their regular customers with a smile, and are extremely nice. Something that you don't get anymore when you shop - a smile and great customer service. The store is layed out great, and I have never really seen anything out of stock - if I ever had. Now even more convenient hours! They are open until midnight or 11 on Sunday. If you need something last minute, you are a night owl, or work odd hours is easier to shop at target. It's still the exact same mix of merchandise. The clothes are inexpensive, but cheap. The other stuff is the same as elsewhere. A few comments about online ordering. If you do store pickup you can't immediately return the item if it doesn't fit. I ordered clothes, did store pickup, paid, tired them on, and them tried to return the few that doesn't fit. Two clerks tried to help me, but I had to come back the next day. Annoying! This issue isn't specific to this target or I'd drop their score. This is not my favorite Target, but it'll have to do, since it is pretty close to my house. Still, the grocery stores are closer, and now that we are learning how and where to shop, we don't have to fall back on Target as often. Why do I oftentimes hate this Target? Because of the people who shop there. Seriously, there are some stay-at-home Moms on a mission. And they will run you over! You also have to look out for children on the loose! The parking garage is convenient; and the escalator for the carts is pretty cool. The dairy is cheaper than anywhere, but it is either similarly priced or only slightly more expensive at Trader Joe's, where it tastes better and you can be sure it is chemical free. We make special trips here for the ice cream. The Breyers Naturals is on sale a lot, and since I have allergies to most ice creams (thanks to FDA approval of toxin propylene glycol), we stock up when we can. Another thing I like to get here is the vegetarian frozen foods by MorningStar -- definitely cheaper here than Safeway or Trader Joe's, and by a lot. Coffee is also cheaper here. Sometimes Peet's is on sale, and Seattle's best is usually at a pretty good price. Other than that, the housewear items are cool sometimes, especially when it's back-to-school time. Lots of stuff goes on sale when the kids are off to college. The Verdict: Overall, this store is above average so I have to give Four Stars, but in my book it's more like a Three-and-a-Half. read more

The cleanest Target I've ever been to. This Target is so spacious, which also includes an underground parking garage that has more than enough parking spaces. The workers are all very interactive and kind, except this one old man who works as a cashier, he's rude and impolite. BUT target, I won't lose you a star just because of that. Although, that man needs to learn a better attitude. Anyways, this is honestly a really good target, my favorite one in Northern California. When I'm in SoCal, I usually go to the one in West Covina. Not all Target's are the same (I hold a similar theory about Barnes & Noble and Starbuck's)! My favorite moment in the history of this store was when a temp working in our office at 500 Ygnacio was going to head on over to shop -- not having realized that the OLD Target store had been razed to below grade to make room for the new and improved SUPER Target! Parking at this store makes it worthwhile -- it is a bit easy to get lost in here -- but hey, isn't that the purpose? read more

This is really the only place we will make a special trip through the horrible WC traffic for. The remodel is really nice, we especially like the new grocery sections, which has plenty of things to put off that minor grocery store trip you need to take, you can just grab what you need their instead. I also have to say that I like their makeup section as well, the only complaint their being sometimes it is not fully stocked. Plenty of express lines and we usually don't wait too long. read more

I like this Target because it's my Target. In the sense that it's close to me, and why would I drive out of my way? I also LOVE their underground parking garage. Coming from Texas where we pave everything into a parking lot, it was pretty cool to first witness this space-saver. Also, shopping cart escalator?! AWESOME! Anyway, before this place was gutted and remodeled, it honestly sort of sucked. It was pretty average, I guess. After they expanded and reorganized the store, I've been more pleased with it. Oddly though, I feel like their selection decreased with this increase in square footage. What gives? The addition of a food section is definitely a plus, since I can often find better deals on snacks, sodas, etc. here. The lines ALWAYS seem to be long, but I can't really explain that. Another plus of the remodel is that they now have express lanes - this definitely alleviates some of the congestion in other rows. The checkout staff is hit or miss - I think it depends on who you get and what day it is. In regards to the food/Starbucks - meh. They are what they are. I'll grab a pizza every now and then if it makes sense, and if I'm morning shopping the coffee is nice. read more

If things like shopping cart escalators excite you, then this place will make you swoon. I remember when this Target was being built, I was in high school at the time. People were very excited about the two stories and the shopping cart escalator. Turkey (you know, the country) has had shopping cart escalators in their grocery stores for days. We should not get excited by such things as shopping cart escalators. Anyways, it is big. They have a ton of stuff and carry cheap s-video cords which do come in handy. I'm surprised I haven't Yelped this Target. I certainly prefer it over the Pleasant Hill Target but after being at the San Ramon Target, this one gets bumped down. Not much to say with this one. It's a Target. The store is clean, the staff is friendly if you can find them and the prices are what any good American would want. And, although i think the food concept they just installed is a joke, it allowed them to reorganize a portion of the store and things look nicer now. Since the garage is under the store, the floor vibrates and pulsates from time to time, which can be a little weird. Shop there enough and you get used to it though. My only wish is that the bathrooms were cleaned a little more often. read more

Super size target that is well organized, plenty of shopping carts, a large elevator from the garage to the inside of the store, well staffed (even for returns) and clean. They sell groceries (a recent addition), have a good toy selection and a large beauty/hygiene section. The above ground lot is typically busy due to 24 Hour Fitness people parking there and also beware that the parking lots (above ground and underground) are really busy on Sundays due to the Farmer's Market (which is next door). read more

I live near by and I go here pretty often.. I called the operator because I had a question about an item listed on their website and wanted to check the availability in their store. I swear I was on hold for about a half hour all together when the woman tried to transfer me over to someone that could "help" me. I didn't understand why it took her soo long to connect me with someone or realize that the five times to was redirected to my phone call just for a simple question. That was the worst experience I've had with the operator at any Target. Otherwise... When I visit this store it's always pretty stocked with clothing etc.. AVOID THE PHARMACY. If you're a pharmacy customer, CHECK your prescriptions VERY CLOSELY. My doctor's office sent in 3 prescriptions for my brohchitis. I was advised the wait would be 90 minutes, but it actually took 2 hours. Upon arriving home, I discovered the pharmacy shorted the cough suppressant capsules. The bottle was labeled "quantity: 15" with instructions to take every 8 hours for 5 days, however there were only 6 capsules in the bottle. I phoned the pharmacy and complained. They acted like it wasn't their error. They wouldn't let me pick the balance up at a store closer to my house, so I had to drive back to the store. read more

Not the best, but one of the better Target's that I've been to. First, I love the parking situation here. There is underground parking! The lot under the store is huge and is great during the summer when it's a 100 degrees outside. Second, this is one of the larger Target stores. They have almost anything you need. Need I say more? Third, location is great because it's close to the freeway. The only complaint I have is that during the middle of the day, it gets really busy. It seems like it's a lot of the stay at home mom's who flood the store. I don't blame them but it just makes checking out a little longer. read more

My review is for the pharmacy: I like getting my prescription here for the convenience. The service is kind of hit or miss. Most everyone is friendly, but there are times when they keep their heads down and don't greet new customers in line. It can also be slow. But on the flip-side sometimes they are super friendly. I do like that they pre-fill my prescription, and I get an automatic phone call when it's ready. read more

TLDR: 8/10 would shop there again We go here a lot because it is in a very convenient location. Prices are higher than most places, but they sucker me into going buying their stuff because of how damn convenient it is. Although, after coming here a few times, we found some more reasonably priced items here. Their eggs are cheaper than some other stores in the area, and their store brand pasta is a pretty good dupe for Barilla. Checking out is pretty fast, they recently added a self check out line but it still seems to be a little buggy. I definitely appreciate the service there, I once spilled a whole box of noodles after paying for them, and someone immediately came over, helped me clean it up, and then got another box for me. The store opens late so it's perfect for snack runs and there is plenty of parking (they have a huge underground garage) which is nice since it is walking distance to downtown Walnut Creek. read more

I have been to 5 Stores today looking for a three-in-one jacket. It is meant for Winter but you can separate it into 2 pieces a raincoat and a warm fleece. I want to all the places you would think they would have it big 5 sporting goods Ross and a couple other places. I came in here and the lady who helped me did the best she could but it wasn't her department. She got Jennifer "Jenni" to come and help me. Jenny was amazing she had a great personality and a great disposition. She took me over to another section that also had jackets but they were.... all not what I was looking for. Once we got done looking she mentioned that there was some inventory that hadn't even been put out yet that was for skiing. I said that is most likely what I'm looking for can I take a look at what you have. So she brought me to the back corner of the store went into the back of the store and brought out 3 jackets. One of which was exactly what I was looking for And at less than $100 it was a great savings as well. I want to give a shout out to Jenni and her awesome customer service and her quick thinking on her feet. read more

It's always quick and easy getting in and out of here. Even at 3pm on a Saturday. They also have exactly what I'm looking for. Parking is easy. The only thing that sucks is exiting and making a left - you can get stuck there for days like a bitch. All in all my fave bay area target. read more

This is the best target I have been to. It is getting 5 stars because they added groceries and people seem to remember me when I am there. The associates are helpful and accommodating. One time I left 2 two gallons of milk at the register after paying for them and one of the service reps was walking them to the customer service return center. I ran into him and he was more than happy to give them to me. I am not too sure if other places would have cared or just returned them back to the shelves. The place is well lighted, aisles are clean of clutter and location has plenty of parking, unlike the rest of the places in downtown Walnut Creek. I prefer to go here than the one right next door to where I live, which is the Pleasant Hill Target. For some reason, it always has the SLOWEST and LONGEST lines. read more

This Target does not fit with the area. The carts are old and outdated and half of them don't work. The store is messy, particularly the women's clearance section. It's a disaster. The Pleasant Hill Target is nicer, the carts are newer and work well, the store is cleaner and the women's clearance is organized by size. Go to the PH Target for a way better experience! read more

On December 24 I bought some gift cards but before I did I check the website to make sure there are returnable, According to their website all gift cards are returnable if you have the original receipt which I did. On the 26th December I tried to return them. Then I was told they do not take returns on gift cards . I showed them their own website saying that they do take returns if the package is an open and you have the original receipt. But they still said no. I called customer service they called the store and they still refuse to return them. Luckily I was transferred to another department which they called around and found that the Emeryville target returns gift cards I'm really disappointed in the customer service at Walnut Creek you would think they would disclose that they are not returnable. Apparently the corporate philosophy doesn't apply to other stores. They should disclose that on their website though. I'm a very disappointing customer. read more
