So this is a Target for ASU students, the store is typically crowded and you can expect to wait in line when you go to check out. The parking is also really bad here. If you can find another target you should go there also they seem to sell out of stuff faster as well because of the heavy traffic. read more

What a great location! This location is always clean and has great employees that are always willing to help and assure that you don't spend too long in line. However, because it's near the university, sometimes their stock is wiped out in the women's clothing and shoe selection. My FAVORITE Target location! read more

Normally I don't write review but this Target really piss me off. Went to three Target store with my two kids 4 and 6 years old. For those who have kids going shopping with them is not easy too do. This is our third store that we visit that day. The first store told me that this store have total of nine items that I was looking for. Turn out, they only have three remain. When time to checkout, there was only two people ahead of me in line. There was a problem with the check out and I waited five minutes in line and it was no big deal. Manager open another check out, waved the person in front of me. Few minutes later I went to that line and acknowledge her that I was coming. When I got there she when to the line that I was originally in and help out the cashier. Waited for another 5 minuets, while my kids fighting over an item. At this point, I wanted to leave the cart with the items in it! But no, I when to another line. This time the line I'm in have the same issue as the first line I was in. So I decided to leave the line and go to the fourth line and only one ahead of me. Another 5 minutes goes by and this person ahead wanted to know about the coupon. Now I'm beyond piss! I look at the manager that is still trying to help the one in the first line. She looked at me. I wasn't happy and the cashier checked me out know it. 20 minutes later I finally got out of the store. read more

Service has improved recently. I went in one morning and was cashed out by a wonderful lady who I think was named Betty. She was very sweet and sociable. :) I haven't seen her in a while but I usually come in the evenings. Besides her, I've noticed most of the other cashiers finally start to acknowledge and engage customers. It's not spectacular or particularly friendly service, but they at least say hello, tell me my total, and say good-bye. That's all I wanted! read more

Something has seriously gone wrong with this store. The shelves are always sparse. The medicine area is almost bare. You come here to get these needed items and they just look at you like "so what?" I would recommend any other Target. read more

Photo printing kiosks at Tempe Marketplace location. Three people using each of the three kiosks. Photos print all together in one stack. Target rep had to show all photos to each customer, asking "is that yours" for each print and had to ask customer to confirm they got all their prints and nobody else's. Totally unacceptable from a privacy perspective. I don't expect total privacy in a situation like this, but I certainly didn't enjoy going through someone else's photos in order to pick out mine. What kind of Kodak photo kiosk system can't be setup to separate each order and label them? Just feels like amateurish stuff. One star because the prints are acceptable. read more

The customer service i received at this location today was deplorable, and this is not the first time. I went to this location for three items, one being a contact case, and there were none on the shelf, totally fine! I figured I could ask an employee to help me because sometimes things are just not stocked. I saw an employee walking towards me, with his full uniform and gadgets so i nicely asked him about the cases to which he, WHILE STILL WALKING AWAY FROM ME, pointed me towards the area I was in. I nicely explained they were out and if they had any in storage to which he literally just walked away saying "i don't know". I then approached the young woman giving samples in the makeup department for help and said the other employee told me he "didn't know" to which her response was "yea well he didn't clock in yet" with attitude. the cases were not in stock, and as i was at self checkout the same employee who dismissed me was standing right there FIVE MINUTES LATER. it's customer service and your shift was just about to start are you KIDDING atleast acknowledge the human NICELY asking for your help, such ignorant and disrespectful employees sometimes. management do better in training in customer service. read more

Absolutely love Target!! There is always coupons for thier grocrey,beauty, café, and clothing department. Also, be sure to check out the Dollar Spot by the entrance! They have so much to choose from and this location is very clean including bathrooms! My only complaint is unwelcoming staff and long checkout lines no matter what day of the week it is. read more

This is the best Target Store I've Been to and especially the best one in The Phoenix area! They tend to have slightly more options and a more up to date inventory as well as better grocery selections than other locations! Nice and Clean, modern with a great staff! Definitely my go to Target and fortunately it's rather close to mi Casa, so just an added bonus! read more

There's really not anything special about this target. It has all your Targety things. It is clean and in a convenient place in town. There's lots of parking and the employees know where to find things and are helpful. The cashiers are friendly but perhaps too friendly because they are all soo slow. Each is having a snack, wants to tell you a story, and really take their time. So if you are in any hurry, go somewhere else, no matter what time of day. read more

I love this Target but just tonight, i went checked out my baby diapers. The lady was so nice helping me but the girl name Angie said she was the manager of the store or whatever was gave me a hard time and wasting my time like 30mins. ( im using the Target coupon from the app. Its was the last day to use them. I screenshot it because the internet there was really slow. Usually I don't like self check out because I like the personal contact with regular check out. But during my self check out Max came up and told us all the ways I could save even more money when he saw me using the cartwheel app. I've been hesitant about the red card because I don't trust my self control but he explained the debit card option, was personable and very funny. Normally i have good things to say about the employers at Target. However, the workers in the electronics department were not helpful whatsoever. Reserved a copy here of Mario Party 10 which came out today (3/20) first employee at the counter said it didn't come out today that Nintendo games usually come out on "Tuesday's" I then called 2 Game Stops to verify (just to make sure I was not wrong). I then walked up to another employee in the electronics department and he said "we didn't get the shipment in or else it'd be out" and walked away. I can understand if they did not receive a shipment in, but no one took the time to look it up in their system. I will never pre order a game here. First & last time. read more

This is the best Target I have ever been to. They have great customer service, great deals, a great pharmacy, the best body care section you can ask for, and lots of great outdoor stuff. They do not sell many hats though. read more

Irritated. I ALWAYS go to target and the customer service here is the worst I've experienced. I had 3 items to purchase, so I went to guest services (like I've done a million times in the past). There was no one waiting in line and two employees chit-chatting away... I walked up and placed my items on the counter and said I was purchasing. Initially there was no issue but after ringing up the first item Samantha says rudely, "Just so you know ... we don't normally ring up items here because it's for people returning". My reply was, "Interesting, I always check out here when I have just a few things to purchase". She remained silent throughout the rest of the transaction and handed me my change with no words exchanged. After countless trips and thousands of dollars spent at Target, this was the first time I ever felt uncomfortable PURCHASING items. Not sure if she was just irritated that I interrupted her conversation or if this is a new policy, but it's NEVER been said to me before. Normally I have a great experience at Target so this was a bummer for me. read more

I wanted to mention this strictly on the Pharmacy page. I have been coming to Target for nearly 12 years and have NEVER had any problems. David is a great pharmacist and so was Natalie. The new girl they've hired and one of the techs named "Rachel" do not understand how to give proper customer service or the necessity for important information to be communicated to the customer. I love coming here, but instead of an apology today I got a laundry list of excuses for why my medication was not going to be filled and why they didn't inform me sooner. I was told that "they sold a prescription and then ran out", I was told "they didn't know they even were out" I was told "whomever I spoke to [I] must have misunderstood them when they told me it would be ready today" and that is just a few! Then Rachel, on the phone told me that I was being rude (I never raised my voice, or even used inappropriate language) and she also accused me of attempting to break the law! I am so disgusted with how she was treating me that I even simply said "you haven't even apologized yet" and her response was "I have too" instead of just saying "I am sorry". I suffer from PTSD and an auto immune disorder and because of this ONE experience I will NOT be coming back after tomorrow since they refuse to transfer my script to a different pharmacy. Whoever this Rachel person is also told me that I have a "history of problems" which is even more sickening. I hope the recording from my phone conversation are pulled and she can hear that she was completely and 100% out of line. read more

So apparently I've never been here when there are hoards of ASU kids like several other reviews mentioned. What I do know is that I've been to this Target a few times now that I live nearby and love it of course. First off, apparently I got really lucky to be living right between two Target stores that are both open to 11pm. As most of us know, Target always closes at 10pm with the exection of only three stores in the valley and I happen to live near TWO of them, awesome! Other than that, this Target is pretty much set up the exact same way they all are now, and includes the expanded fresh grocery section. Not quite a full SuperTarget, but it will do for most grocery trips. They have a Pharmacy and a Photo Counter along with Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express and 18 awesome checklanes with cool ligts to stare at while you wait in line for 15 seconds. I'm glad this is my closest Target, becaust it has everything I need, is open late, and just happens to be in the awesome Tempe Marketplace so I can knock everything out at once. read more

While you can purchase your essentials and more here you will feel the need to take a shower once you're done. I recall when this Target was clean and organized. However the last few trips to this location the entire store was completely trashed and had a foul odor. The employees were not helpful as many were just standing around talking to each other or using their cell phones. I checked out in electronics because I was buying a video game and one employee tried to show a YouTube video to the guy who was ringing me up... as he was still assisting me with my purchase. It was really unbelievable. I hope this place gets new management soon. read more

This is a really nice target, very clean, very friendly employees. They really do their best to keep their line wait times down which is really nice. Nothing's worse than waiting in line for 74 hours trying to purchase a few items. They have a starbucks, clothing section, electronics, school supplies, small grocery section, large variety of cards, school/office supplies, basically everything you can think of. They're in tempe marketplace so parking not a problem. One thing I will recommend is if you're planning to go there and will be using a cart to get your stuff back to your car MAKE SURE YOU PARK IN THEIR PARKING LOT. The carts have wheel locks once you leave their area. I once parked in the bust buy parking lot which was next door and walked to target after, on the way back to my car the wheels locked up right in the middle of one of the parking isles Lol. Once the wheels lock you have to have incredible hulk strength to move it all. Just an FYI. :) read more

It is always so busy due to the traffic of the college and it's the Tempe marketplace. I stay clear of this place because of the crowds.

I always go to this target since I live down the street. I bought a pair of twenty dollar sweatpants today and got home to realize they are too small. I go to find the receipt but it seems to have been thrown away by accident. I look at an old target receipt and on the back it states that returns and exchanges can be done without a receipt and a valid id. Ok cool, so I head down grab a better size and go to exchange. The lady tells me that since the pants we're on sale at SOME point in the last thirty days she can only refund me fifteen dollars. Meaning I get to pay five extra dollars if I want a different size. I did I literally night then an hour ago, she says I have no way to prove that. She was nice about it and felt bad, but how in the hell can they get away with charging me 25 dollars for a pair of 20 sweats? As long as I'm not asking for money back who cares about an even exchange? read more

Customer service has always been nice to me on purchases; I haven't ever tried returns there. Selection is iffy. We recently went there for shower curtain liners and they only had one size, that was about six inches too long and two holes shy of fitting a standard shower/tub setup in a standard house. And if you're looking for food, the frozen pizza selection isn't very good either. I try to avoid shopping at Target whenever possible because they pay their employees less than Walmart, and the only people I know who do work or have worked there in the past said it was not a good work environment. Try to spend your money in places that treat their employees well. read more
