Streamwood Super Target is one of the best stores! Great customer service and always clean.

After my "experience" today, I will absolutely not be shopping at Target until they change their policy. What policy? The bathroom policy? Oh, no, I am very okay with that. No, this is a policy that is actually a problem. Something that's *actually* dangerous. I'm talking about their "anything with four legs is welcome" policy! I am a service dog handler, trainer, and service dog law educator. I do free seminars on service dog law for businesses to help stop service dog fraud by educating on the business' rights and how to identify when a dog is not legitimate and needs to be removed. Having three invisible illnesses and a 27# service dog, I am definitely feeling the pain from people who assume that I'm a faker. I hate fake service dogs, more than most. And yet, Target has no trouble allowing them in, apparently. I stopped at this location to grab some snacks and drinks this afternoon, with my (legitimate, fully trained, amazingly awesome) service dog at my side. Walking up to the door, I watched as a dog that I know for a fact is not a service dog (this was a dog I knew personally, I know its name and its owners, I am not saying this with no evidence) come walking out the door. This dog isn't even labeled as a service dog, but a therapy dog (no public access for therapy dogs, they are not service dogs, so he never should have been allowed into the store to begin with). I went in and asked if that dog had just been in here shopping, to which the employees responded that yes, it had been. I let them know that he is NOT a service dog, and that he should NOT be allowed in again. Their response shocked and disgusted me. "Target's policy is to not even ask", and went on to tell me that people bring "their little Maltese", too. I don't care how little the dog is, if it isn't a service dog and you sell food, it doesn't get around health codes. 1. Fake service dogs are not trained like a service dog is. Do you really want a random pet pawing at, licking, drooling on your food? Didn't think so. 2. Many service dog handlers have had their dogs attacked or threatened by fake service dogs. I know handlers who have had their dogs mauled, disabled, and killed by pets passed off as service dogs or therapy dogs (which, as previously stated, aren't allowed in food stores anyway). 3. The more selfish people who bring untrained, aggressive, neurotic, barking, peeing pets into stores claiming them as "service dogs", the worse life gets for those who actually have service dogs. We get treated like worse than garbage because of people who do that, it's horrible. My dog has been kicked at, had things thrown at him, we've been screamed at, stalked, photographed and slandered online, chased out of stores, threatened, thanks to people who pose their pets as service dogs. Businesses are on the front lines at stopping service dog fraud by taking a stand against allowing untrained and fake service dogs into their stores. I am beyond disappointed that Target not only doesn't care about it, but refuses to do anything at all to stop it. This is the second time I have had a problem regarding service dogs at Target; the first was an employee who thought it was hysterical to keep whistling and calling to my service dog and my client's service dog during a training session. That Target took that so seriously, and yet is doing nothing to stop aggressive pets from being allowed in the doors is appalling. I shopped at this store for over 4 years and the one time I genuinely needed help, I was ignored and treated like I was a bother. I had just had major surgery 5 days prior and ended up needing a breast pump (this was not something my husband was comfortable with picking out for me and we had not previously gotten one because we planned to rent one from the hospital however there were no more available). I thought this would be the perfect place because I had always seen at least 4 motorized shopping carts at either She went to talk to a manager about this but after waiting for over 10 minutes for her to come back we gave up. We decided to just go as quickly as we could to the baby section, find what we needed and leave. When we got to the check out each of the 4 lanes that were open had no less than 5 people waiting in them, ridiculous. Finally my husband found a manager and asked for another lane to be opened. He explained the situation, that I was very uncomfortable and since there were no motorized carts the wait time wasn't going to work. One additional lane was opened up and after waiting in that line for another 3 people ahead of us, the cashier wasn't able to ring us out. Why? She didn't have the correct key to unlock the item we were buying. She paged a manager several times, and we could see the manager standing and chatting with another employee. Finally when the manager came over she looked at my husband and said "oh, it's you", like we were just another pain in the ass customer who was bothering her. Overall horrible experience. I wrote to Target's corporate office to let them know and they told me that they have since fixed the motorized carts so that they work; however, there are 2 other targets nearby and this one will not be getting our business again. read more

What a joke this store is. Nobody working the deli on a Wednesday night even though there were 2 hours left until close. Out of stock on the basic groceries. Left my cart full of groceries at the door and went to Jewel. read more

Have not shopped at a Target in years for groceries. After a friend introduced me to cartwheel I thought why not i will try it out again. This Target happens to be by my parents so figured on Sundays when i visit them i will shop here before heading home. This was second week in a row i went. Two major things that happened both times one was NO CARTS on either side of the store now for the second time in a week i am either going back outside to get a cart OR walking around the store for 15 minutes trying to find one. Super annoying. Another is waiting 25 minutes in the deli line. Yes, i can save a little money but i waste so much time so i wont be heading back. I will say that the employees are very nice. But time is money. read more

By far the worst store ever the store manger and one of her LODS are so disrespectful I return some lunch meat that I had bought to make sandwich for a party and I asked for the meat thin as possible and I swear you not the slices where so thick it look like a pork chop after I asked twice to see and the women ignored me and said she already had finish and gave it to same thing with the cheese and the same girl did my daughters cake and the cake was horrible it was supposed to be 17 made out of cupcakes and the seven was backwards I was heated and the manger Karol and Elsa only gave me ten dollars off and a six pack of free cupcakes but beside the point that the cake/ deli person Michelle didn't do her job the right way and ways by fair disappoint because the cake had the wrong colors and it was horrible design nothing from what I asked for!!! read more

I LOVE our Target store!!! The guy who handles the carts during the day takes his job very seriously, making my experience so much better. The daytime cashiers are wonderful too. Where can you shop that people recognize you, say good morning and are extremely pleasant. Whoever does the hiring here knows what they're doing and the employees are golden. I have been going to this location for as long as I can remember, and have given them a ton of business. I have overlooked every little problem and the lack of service or assistance that I received because of the location and convenience, however today was the last straw. While scanning items at the self checkout which often has issues with reading barcodes, I was rushing through the process because I was in a hurry; one of the bath bombs that I was purchasing did not scan. However since it made the noise that usually means it scanned (and I do admit that I was rushing), I put my items in the bag, paid and left. On the way out, a security lady stopped me and told me she had been standing behind me and noticed that I had not scanned one of the bath bombs. I was confused, but after counting and showing her the receipt, I did notice that one had not scanned. Rather than confronting me when she saw that I had not scanned it properly, she had waited until I was partially out the door to alert me that she had seen this happen, so that it appeared as though I was trying to steal a $5 bath bomb after paying for everything else in my bag. I explained to her the situation, and offered to either pay immediately or to return the "stolen" item, however she insisted that I follow her into the back to be processed. I was in a hurry with my dog in the car and people waiting for me at home, so it was very frustrating for me to be escorted into the back like a criminal. After taking my license she told me that she would not press charges, however I would have to be banned from the store for a year. I was absolutely APPALLED. I have never stolen anything in my life, let alone from the store where I shop almost daily. My entire family has gotten glasses prescriptions filled there, done all of our home and back-to-school shopping, been loyal customers for years, and the disrespect and accusation that I received from this woman turned me from a loyal customer to one who will never return to this chain. The woman told me that I should "find another eye doctor", and her explanation of their protocol was that "if I let you go and then process a minority, it would be discrimination." The fact that she tried to bring race into this as an explanation for why I was being penalized for a mistake that could have been caught earlier, had she said something, was outraging to me. I asked to speak to the manager who was slightly more kind but no more understanding or accommodating. I am beyond shocked that she waited until I was out the door before saying anything to me if she saw the entire thing happen. I have had multiple experiences with the scanner not reading the barcode right away, however since it made the beep I had thought that everything was good. I was told that I could get the police involved if I wished to see the security footage, however, regardless of what the police said, I would receive the ban and be arrested for trespassing if I attempt to go to this Target for a year. They then attempted to follow me to my car to get my license plates. After being a customer for years and years, I can not believe that I was treated this way or that a mistake this small and common would be handled this inappropriately and unprofessionally. I understand protocol, but this was taken way WAY too far. Very disappointed. read more

One of the better Targets in the area. This location is well-organized, clean, and (just like all of the other Target stores) has a million things I never knew I always needed! :) I really love the staff at this location, though. They always ask if you need help without being overbearing. And my kids love the sticker they are offered at the end! read more

If I could give a 0 stars review or negative stars review I would. Cassidy the store director there tonight should be beyond ashamed of himself for the treatment of a 69 year old man. He did have his mask on, just not pulled up over his nose. The man was trying to explain to Cassidy that he has breathing problems and can not pull the mask over his nose. And signs everywhere do say if you do have medical conditions (like COPD like the gentleman was explaining to him) you do not have to even wear one. I am on board with the masks, but if someone has a MEDICAL CONDITION they are to be exempt. As the gentleman was trying to explain, Cassidy told him "the whole staff has to wear them everyday and they can breathe just fine" and proceeded tell him to put the items on the shelf next to him and get out of "his store." And as he was escorting the older gentleman out of the store he was REPEATEDLY telling him "my name is Cassidy if you'd like to call corporate on me." Why mock the situation? Why act like a smug jerk on a power trip? That is NOT customer service or the attitude a store director should have. It was disgusting. So I walked through the store, took pictures of the SEVERAL employees NOT wearing masks over their noses, and also other shopping customers that were also allowed. I will be sending the pictures of employees to Corporate. Cassidy is by far an AWFUL example to "direct" other associates to respect customers and teach them customer service. Seriously for the holiday season they don't have the best deals! I came in for some dress shirts and a bra. Was looking to get some jewelry. Nothing fancy just stuff for work. (I work in retail also.) this is convenient for me as it's very close to my home and it's the only store besides marshals which has great stuff but I have a gift card and wanted to use it up. Everything I looked was not on sale. I even went into the cartwheel app to check for some discounts and there was nothing for any of the items I needed. I ended up buying one shirt and a bra full price for both I had a gift card for $40. At least I used it up I will not be back for clothing sometimes they do have OK sales for cosmetics. Like I said just being a holiday I thought they would have some great sales everybody else does. They don't disappointed read more

This target is clean and has helpful workers. Also when I was sent from a different target that claimed the had a product I needed, and when it actually wasn't there they went ahead and gave me the same deal but with a better product. This place didn't have any mess in the aisles like other target locations. I love the cleanliness. read more

Aweful customer experience at this store. Went to return a deffective coffeee maker after 2 days of buying along with receipt and lady at return desk told me that they cannot accept an opened coffee maker for return an dmy only option they told me is to exchange. Which surprised me because, returning items with receipt is nothing new to any store and I returned a grinder to another Target store few weeks back with no question asked. I explained that to the lady who was dealing with me. Not only that she was rude, but also held her ground not to accept that return. I also told her whether she can give me store credit at least. That request was also turned down. Finally I went to a different Target location and returned the item with no issue at all. BTW - this is my first such experience at this store. I live next to this store for last 10 years and never had such experience. Not sure its just different management at that store or just the people at the desk. Prospective customers at this location, just be careful and watch what you are buying there. Before you buy any big ticket item there, think twice. read more

I love my local "Super" Target. Get the fresh fruit tart (made to order by the more than helpful staff) or Mango-Strawberry fruit twits or a freshly made sandwisch or one of the yummy salads & you are good to go to work and be the envy of everyone at the lunch table! Venti Starbucks Ice Tea makes the process smooth and pain-free & they do keep an eye on the check-out lanes (YEAH)! The helpful staff and fun personality makes this a great shopping experience! read more

Wish they would open their express checkout lanes. So tired of waiting in line behind people with Large baskets of groceries while I only have 3-12 items. Happens any day of the week at any time of the day. So frustrated with this that I no longer shop there. read more

I love this Super Target! I go there for everything from grocery to office supplies to kids stuff. There grocery section even has a small organic section...great plus. This Target is very close to my house and convenient for picking up things to and from work. The store is usually well organized and well stocked. read more

Nobody has brought up the pharmacy.This by far has the best people to serve you.They are always friendly and polite.Very few times I've had to wait to pick up my drugs. read more

They recently put in self check out lanes that you can't buy alcohol in. Now there are long lines at the regular registers and less people working... Way to go America... read more

I LOVE this Target! Moved a mile or two down the street a couple years ago and fell in love! I can do all my grocery/regular shopping here. I usually go on weekdays mid afternoon and it's empty. I can wander around for a couple hours and no one bugs me :) It's always clean, organized, 99% of the time has what I'm looking for, and you can print Target coupons from their website to save extra $. My only complaint is the produce. I eat a lot of romaine lettuce and they always have the saddest looking selection where the lettuce is pretty much decomposing right in the bag. I just ask if there's more in back and there usually is. read more

Carlos from the Starbucks inside the store failed to even acknowledge me even when I stood right in front of him as he was on the register.

I've lived around the corner from this location for a year and a half and I love it! It has EVERYTHING I need and with two kids, thats important. One stop shopping:) Its organized, clean and has a big variety of items. My husband's coworker lives closer to the Schaumburg location but makes the trip to this one. His reasoning is that it was built as a Super Target and not turned into one. I guess that makes the dufference in the store! Anyway, my only warning to you and why I didn't give it 5 stars is that checkout can take a REALLY long time most visits in there. I'm starting to learn which cashiers are the fast ones but sometimes that doesn't even matter when the lines are already built up. When I first went to the target Optical Store.. the service was friendly and great. However they told me my glasses were going to be in a week to ten days.. Two weeks later I walk in and my glasses had not arrived. They told me try back early next week.. Went in almost 4 weeks to the date and they had my glasses but wrote down my phone number wrong. They were the wrong frames, after all that, and they would exchange the glasses for the frames I actually wanted for an additional fee.. Not very happy!! read more

Be careful if you buy food on clearance. We bought some teriyaki noodle bowls and not checking the expiration dates on them after we got home and a few days later my mom noticed that the expiration was December 2013! She check the rest of the bowls and 3 of the 6 we bought were no good. By then we have already thrown away the receipt. She called Target and they would not take the product back with out a receipt. Very disappointing that the Manager said without the receipt there is nothing he could do. I could understand selling an item a day or 2 after the expiration date but 6 months?! SMH read more

I have to say the employees at this store are Top Notch...... the man who handles the carts during the day is so friendly and wonderful. He always has a smile on his face and will dash across the parking lot to help you or take your cart when your done. The cashiers are wonderful..... there is one woman who I wish I could remember her name but she is great. I once saw her outside of the store and she hugged me and said hello..... leaving me with a "see you at Target" which I joke with her and say "Yes tomorrow Im in there everyday" :) Good Job Target your employees Rock .... So this morning 3/19/ 18 I had my 3rd interview For my dream teaching job. I woke up nervous and excited until I figured out I forgot my blazer.  I ran frantically into Target to try and find one before my interview. Although, I was looking forward and super focused on the mission at hand, I saw a smiling face standing in the isle who greeted me "Good morning!". I replied back quickly and kept searching for a blazer. Minutes later, I fly to the register wearing the blazer with the tag in my hand. The smiling face told me to follow her she'd assist me and said she could tell I was in a rush. I told her I had an interview and to my surprised she asked where it was located. We exchanged some more quick conversation regarding the interview, in which she repeatedly complimented me on how nice I looked. She told me to relax, I would do great, and If they did not choose me they didn't deserve me. Lastly, she came around the register and gave me a hug; her name was Lori. She told me to come back and let her know how it went. I've never seen customer service at this level in my life it was impeccable! As a hairstylist and educator who deals with customers all the time I really feel like Lori went above expectation to provide excellent customer service not because she was trained well or it was her job but because of her integrity; What you do when no one is looking. Lori calmed me down, made sure I had what I came in the store with, and made sure I left with a genuine smile on my face. I wish it were more Lori's in the world you never know how something so simple can impact someone's life. After Lori's encouraging words I was able to relax and I blew the interview out the water! I used to love going to Target as they have good prices on the things I need but my last experience has left me sour. I had just gotten surgery on my neck. I have to wear a brace while it heals and had to use the electric cart as I tire easily. I had I hard time getting around as my vision is impaired by the brace. Employees walked right by me and ignored my calls for assistance. The other customers in the store were more helpful. By the time I got to the checkout lanes I was light-headed and couldn't wait. But as expected there were very long lines. This is something that is happening a lot at this store. They opened lanes but ignored the guy in the electric cart who wasn't as fast as people in the regular shopping carts. I was fighting hard not to pass out when another lane opened - AGAIN I was ignored. If it hadn't been for the customers that let me ahead of them I might have ended up on the floor. If you are handicapped or need "special treatment" you might want to go somewhere else. I had never felt so humiliated from the lack of respect I received from the staff at this store! read more

If I could give their pharmacy 0 stars I would. After not being able to fully fill one perception and being told I couldn't get it half filled and then half filled at another location (I just moved to Chicago) i made a specific trip to come get my medication refilled after being told it would be ready. When I got the pharmacy not only was it not ready the assistant at the desk was incredibly rude about it. After leaving I decided to call in to make sure I could have my mom pick it up. I asked multiple time to verify that this time the script would be filled so my mother didn't waste a trip like I did to which the response I received by the person on the phone was "I said it would be ready at 2 didn't I?" In the most obnoxiously snotty tone imaginable. As someone who works in customer service, if I had said that to one of my customers I would be out of a job. After demanding to speak with the pharmacist about the awful customer service I received she didn't even seem to care and stated she would "talk to them" Honestly, if my insurance didn't force me to use target I would never use their pharmacy again read more
