We were never informed about the mattress warranty conditions or given any warranty information . When I said we did not need a boxspring I wasn't told that that would nullify the warranty.We purchased a Serta mattress that was only $800. After three years the mattress started noticeably sagging in the middle . We recently stopped in the store to discuss this. The mattress has a 10 year warranty ( that is apparently warrantied by American Matress and not Serta). We were given paperwork to fill out and were told to take pictures. The salesman was apologetic and agreed that we should not have a 3 inch sag in our mattress after just over 4 years . I documented everything and sent it over with the receipt. Initially I got no response to my email until I followed up again after 5 days . When I followed up I got a response saying I needed more pictures and information. I explained that my mattress was missing the tag that had been loosely attached with a plastic tag that is used to attach a price tag . I was told that since my perfectly good boxspring was 5 years old when I got the new mattress and since I didn't have the mattress tag ,(despite the fact that I had a printed receipt, )that my mattress would not be covered . I emailed the customer service rep -Tammy back and she responded that "my case was closed . ". I followed up with Serta and was told that they apparently don't stand behind their product . I followed up with the manager at American Mattress in Schaumburg and was told that Tammy was his boss but he would contact the owner of the "family owned " business. It has been a week and I have yet to hear anything one way or the other . I would never buy another mattress here or ever purchase a Serta mattress again.! The pictures are the misshapen mattress under the sheet and the 3 in sag.

    One word for this business horrible…read more I bought a sofa and rug on January 2, 2023. They committed to deliver them within 10 to 14 days. Over a month later, my items are still not delivered. Initially, the interaction with the owner was great. He was very gracious and customer focus. However, after I bought the furniture and rugs, their communications and follow up turned horrible. I had to constantly call them for updates. They committed to call me and never did. They only responded when I called. They never initiated one call to provide me an update on my order. They told me that my products were on the truck from North Carolina and I should get my items by Wednesday. When I called to follow up, they said they're waiting for the truck to arrive. Now I just got a call from the owner saying that my sofa was damaged and they have to return it. When I asked, about the rug I ordered, his response was, "he thinks that the rug was returned with the sofa". I said to him that didn't make sense because he said he just discovered the sofa was damaged. Additionally, the carpet has nothing to do with the sofa. They are two different items. He says it's a common practice for the manufacturer to return all of the items that were ordered together. He did not offer me anything for the inconvenience. I requested my money back and it appears he did give it back, but I'll check to see if it shows up on my credit card. I think the whole thing was a sham and I was being strung along. I honestly do not believe that he placed my order. I'm not sure if he was trying to float my money. I do not recommend this place of business. While I understand that they may not have control of the delivery and supply chain, they could've demonstrated the common courtesy of calling me to keep me apprised of my order. Avoid them at all cost!

(They said I am unable to choose a date, so I went thru the motions so I could get a screen grab - see screen grab.) NO ONE at AF could give me any information...They told me they no longer deliver and it all goes thru a third party called OneRail. I had to call OneRail to get anywhere - (Nowhere) It was ordered for delivery next day delivery and it will take about 3 days (or more) to get it. This includes but is not limited to mechanical or structural failure from repeated use rather than a particular event. According to the terms and conditions, wear and tear is expressly excluded from coverage and therefore ineligible for service. My response was. I apologize that I can't remember the name of the place. My furniture came quick. The guys that delivered it were clean, quick and thorough. Unfortunately, one of the pieces was damaged, so needed to be returned. The blessing in disguise was that I chose to go with a 2nd nightstand (and the mirror for the dresser) instead of the chest of drawers.
