Everything pictured except, the grandfather clock, tv and stand came from "AT HOME".

I love this place! I was so happy to find so many near the Elgin, IL suburbs. This is the only place you need to go to decorate your home with absolutely beautiful decor!

Everything but the kitchen sink. You can find just about anything you are looking for in home decor and even more! I would really like a few hours just to browse this interesting place and the prices are pretty comparable, if not better, than most other places for similar items. Some of the areas, like carpeting and pillows are such a mess at the end of the day, you have to step over stuff in the aisles. But I'm sure it's hard to keep up as there doesn't seem to be a lot of staff on hand anytime I've shopped here. Back to college dorm or apartment shopping here is a must, as you can find so many colors and styles to choose from. And I love seeing special holiday or seasonal items here, like Christmas lights and summer, outdoor patio furniture, almost year round. Also, be sure to check out the sale items near the registers. Plenty of parking spaces and shopping carts readily available.

Kind of a cool home store w/a ton of merchandise to select from for the home. I came here a few months ago w/my wife and her aunt so she could buy 2 chairs for her kitchen island counter & a small credenza in her new place @ The Glen Well we came back today to try and find 2 chairs for our small table in the kitchen since the cheap ass chair we bought at IKEA broke. They have a huge selection of different chairs, but no luck finding what we wanted. Ahhh Cie la vie life is full of disappointments. Buck up and move on with your life. So to add insult to injury we went back to IKEA to see if they have anything. Stay tuned

This store is trouble for my bank account! As soon as you walk in you might as well cue the choir. If you are a bargain diver at HomeGoods or TJ Maxx, you will love this store. The store is massive and filled with items galore! I found 3 grey-ish bar stools which I loved and saw that they were on sale right before I finished at the register. The aisles are coordinated the best way possible but its a bit of a trek. You may need to step over pillows or a rug, but You will find what you are looking for and usually at reasonable prices. I loved this place and will likely trek here a few times a quarter until I have my new place decorated.

17 people in line and growing. ....not prepared for Sunday traffic. Store is a mess and a huge trip hazard. My mom stumbled over rugs in the aisles several times. Every aisle seemed to have exploded. Just see the pic of 1 of many pillow aisles. They over stock the shelves and made it impossible to pull one pillow out before a stack of 5 came flying down. I know I wouldn't want to buy a dirty pillow that's keeps getting pushed around on the floor. Poor training, staffing, and lack of desire to look better than a K-Mart. I worked retail for 15 years and not even black Friday made our store look this bad.

I'm buying this for Andres D.

Talk about a hot mess! No, no, no, not me...I'm talking about Garden Ridge of Schaumburg. Woof! I walked in and the vast disorganization had me overwhelmed in an instance. The tables of books looked as if a storm of children had rampaged through. The maze of aisles upon aisles (of basically crap) had me begging to find the exit sign. Garden Ridge is kind of like a Tuesday Morning on a crack binge. It ain't pretty. Now, if you're down to sift through the overwhelming amounts of junk to find some decent candles, picture frames, or garden gnomes...because, well who doesn't need more garden gnomes in their lives...then you may enjoy yourself here. I, myself, love bargain pricing and finding steals, but Garden Ridge just makes it too overwhelming for me. They are currently either going for a name change, or being taken over, most likely because I'm not sure how much business they actually get. I may of seen two total employees while I was in and two total customers. Maybe it's more busy on the weekends. After the changes are complete, I'll have to stop in and see if there are any improvements at Garden Ridge, or what they are now going to be calling, "at home".

    Junky aisles!

Omg...the only reason I knew about this store is because I visited my cousin in Texas and she took me there since she bought tons of items for her new place there. The store I went to with her was huge, but clean and orderly, with customer service associates around to help. In contrast, the Schaumburg At Home was an absolute wreck! Looked like a tornado went through the store. There were also no customer service associates in sight. While we were there, a woman walked past us in desperation saying "have you seen a sales person...I've been looking for 20 minutes!" The store is huge, but so disorderly, it's hard to find what you seek.

When I went into this store, it took over five minutes for anyone to even greet me when I entered. (That was super surprising since when I left I walked by their desk where there were four employees just sitting around--not including the one who did finally come ask if I needed help--one of whom was playing solitaire on the computer.) I was going to make a purchase when I went in, but apparently they stopped taking checks a year ago "due to fraud issues". That's all I had on me to purchase. When I called the next day to order over the phone I was told that, "due to fraud issues", they could only charge me $300 and I'd have to come in to pay the remaining balance. (How is this company still in business if they are encountering fraud at every turn?) I'd called to try and give a commission to the person who helped me but going into the store in the middle of the week isn't terribly convenient so when I asked about ordering online, I was told there'd be a shipping fee that was higher than the delivery fee if ordering through them. So I tried continuing to pay over the phone... but the guy didn't tell me he couldn't hear me reading the card number to him until after I'd read the full number, then for some reason two credit cards that have no balance didn't go through. And at this point the conversation, probably both length and the fact that I had it on speaker, woke my toddler who was upset so I had to deal with that. When I'd gone into the store and asked when their current sale would end, I was told that they didn't know, that "prices are set by corporate and they just find out when they log in that day". Everything about this company makes me not want to do business with them, but my problem is that I don't have unlimited funds and the price I found here is half of some similar sets. For the umbrella I want to purchase, they charge $25 to INSTALL ROCKS in the base! That's on top of the $149 they charge to assemble the furniture itself. It's simply ridiculous. I'll purchase from The Great Escape, because I need a set now, not in 2-3 years when I've been able to save a few thousand dollars for a set from another, perhaps less rage-inducing company. But from the "corporate policies" to the individual store-level service, this place is a joke. I went to the Wilmette store to make my purchase and the difference in my experience was night and day, and much more satisfying. And they didn't charge me for delivery at the Wilmette store! (It's 5-7 miles closer, so that would be the only reasonable explanation for why--perhaps I'm slightly outside the delivery zone for the Schaumburg location, though it's not coming from the store directly so who knows.) Anyway, if you want to buy from this company go to Wilmette and ask for Dana.

Over a month later, my items are still not delivered. Initially, the interaction with the owner was great. He was very gracious and customer focus. However, after I bought the furniture and rugs, their communications and follow up turned horrible. I had to constantly call them for updates. They committed to call me and never did. They only responded when I called. They never initiated one call to provide me an update on my order. They told me that my products were on the truck from North Carolina and I should get my items by Wednesday. When I called to follow up, they said they're waiting for the truck to arrive. Now I just got a call from the owner saying that my sofa was damaged and they have to return it. When I asked, about the rug I ordered, his response was, "he thinks that the rug was returned with the sofa". I said to him that didn't make sense because he said he just discovered the sofa was damaged. Additionally, the carpet has nothing to do with the sofa. They are two different items. He says it's a common practice for the manufacturer to return all of the items that were ordered together. He did not offer me anything for the inconvenience. I requested my money back and it appears he did give it back, but I'll check to see if it shows up on my credit card. I think the whole thing was a sham and I was being strung along. I honestly do not believe that he placed my order. I'm not sure if he was trying to float my money. I do not recommend this place of business. While I understand that they may not have control of the delivery and supply chain, they could've demonstrated the common courtesy of calling me to keep me apprised of my order. Avoid them at all cost!

A nightmare from start to finish…read more We purchased a dishwasher. Turns out the door was extremely difficult to open and close. When my husband called the number to call with any problems he was told the door was defective and the machine needed to be replaced. OK. Fast forward to the next week. The crew came to include the installer. Although my husband turned off the main water supply he specifically told the installer to turn the water supply off under the sink because there could be accumulated water in the line. The installer said no need to do that and did it his way. At that point water started to gush out and we both were scrambling to grab bath towels to clean up the mess. In addition, they scratched the tile on the floor when pushing the refrigerator back in. The next day my husband noticed that the kick plate was crooked. He went to straighten it out and realized that only one side was screwed in. That prompted him to take a flash light and look underneath. Turns out the grounding wire was not connected. I hope people understand how serious that is plus none of the wires were taped. Also, the metal junction box to cover the wires was missing. My husband went to the store and talked to a manager. We then received a call that a different person would come the following week to correct the electrical issue and to bring a junction box. He also confirmed the delivery date and a reminder to bring the junction box with their BOT. The following week the THIRD crew came to our house. The grounding wire issue was corrected and the wires were taped. Now, where is the metal junction box? The drivers don't have it. One showed me the info that the warehouse receives directly from the store. It did NOT include the instructions to bring the junction box. My husband then went to the store and was given one. He then came home and completed the final steps of the dishwasher installation. We have purchased all of the appliances in our home from Home Depot. Our last two came with delivery/installation issues. This will be the last time that we purchase any appliances from Home Depot.
