I was assisted by two men, who insisted that central Asian rugs were the most popular (perhaps so, if one isn't willing to spend $$$ on a Persian rug). However, I asked only to see their finest rugs (Persian Isfahan, Tabriz, or Qum origins), as all the rugs in my home are traditional/fine Persian rugs. After getting the run-around for 25min, the men finally conceded that they have mostly central Asian and Eastern rugs, which I did not wish for. If you're interested in Far Eastern rugs, this store has plenty. There were only two Persian rugs that they had to show: a 12' x 10' and a 14' runner, both too small and humdrum. Went to Isberian immediately after, and found a trove of fine and traditional Persian rugs for my home. While I didn't find what I was looking for at Caspian, they do have a vast variety of rugs at reasonable prices.

First off, they make the customer drop off and pick up your own rug. Ok, but I was hoping for better service. Groupon is loaded with companies that pick up and deliver, but my commitment to the local guy was steadfast. The work was ok, although they ripped a side seem that left some of the backing unraveling. "Go get yourself some silicon glue" the guy tells me "and patch that before it unravels" when I note the damage at pickup. And now the price. $240 bucks to clean an 8x10 rug. Wow that's more than twice the Groupon price for rug cleaning. I support local business, but expect them to compete on service, quality and price. Edgewater carpet went 0 for 3 here. I tried, but next time I'll try somebody else.

Mark takes the time to get to know your personal preferences and can pull out rugs that you will fall in love with. So he started showing me larger rugs and I fell in love with a 10x12 (another heriz? Not sure!) which he delivered along with my rug pads. He brought his young strong guys with him to help move last year's rug into the dining room and they laid out the new one ... even my husband was like, "Wow. This is gorgeous. Now we need better furniture." I love working with Reza. He's already got my tastes totally pegged. Reza is a great salesman!
