I sent all my rugs to them to be cleaned when I moved. They came back dirty than when I sent them! There are stripes left on one from being rolled up. The light beige rugs have a dark color all over them that makes them look dirtier than when I sent them. I called and emailed them about it. No answer. I sent photos. Nothing!!!! They might be a good place to buy rugs. But don't send any to be cleaned! read more

My review is for a rug cleaning specifically. They were very quick with sending me a cleaning quote upon request and within a matter of days I had guys coming to pick up my rugs to get them cleaned! It was a chore I've been putting off for quite some time but so glad I chose Oscar Isberian for this service. It couldn't have been easier. Both of my rugs came back looking completely new. read more

I will admit that since I've never bought carpets before, I don't have a frame of reference, but nevertheless I had a great experience with Oscar Isberian Rugs. I don't have much carpet in my condo, but I recently needed to replace the carpet in two small rooms within a six week period. Don't ask why, it's a whole thing, you just need to know that I needed to get it done fast. I found Oscar Isberian Rugs by calling what I thought was Rexx Rug. It turns out Rexx Rug closed and sold their business to Oscar Isberian Rugs. I liked that they have locations near the Loop open on Saturdays. I first went after work on a Friday night to their River North location and told them I needed to replace two small rooms of carpet quickly. I walked off the street, no appointment, and I was helped right away by Sally. She helped me find some carpets I liked. I wanted to take the samples that I chosen home, that night, but I didn't want to lug them home on the train. Sally was kind enough to put the samples aside for me and let me pick them up the next day, a Saturday, when I would have my car. I picked three samples that I liked and one happened to be in stock which allowed for speedy installation. Soon thereafter an employee came to measure the two rooms. He was super quick (under ten minutes) and even took the samples back to the store for me. With in less than two weeks we had the carpet installed. The installation went without a hitch. The installers came timely, were nice and didn't mess up walls or any aspect of my condo during the installation. Kudos to the Sally for helping me get the carpets installed within four weeks of me coming into the showroom. You need to know they are expensive (this is not Empire), but they are worth it. The carpets look great . read more

It is efficient, easy and seamless. YOur furniture is picked up and replaced and the rug is set perfectly on the pad without wrinkles. DO IT! read more

If you are looking for a place to get a new carpet for your home, be sure to check out this River North store. Rugs arrive weekly from all over the world, and you'll be sure to find the perfect match. They have traditional, intricate patterns, as well as contemporary simple prints. The best part - they even clean and repair rugs for a small fee. No wonder they received the National Rug Retailer of the Year Award (very prestigious in rugland :)). read more

Oscar is a class act. I took a silk & wool persian rug to his store for cleaning and repair a while back and though it wasn't done right the first time, he sent it to his repair person again and again till it came back looking perfect. He was about as pleasant as can be to work with and even sent me the rug before having taken any money to make sure it was to my liking. THANK YOU OSCAR! The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 stars is that it took longer than expected. But all in all, his operation is well run and the work they did at the end was spot on!! read more

Oscar Isberian Rugs - Beautiful Persian rug, selected by Oscar, for our home in Jackson Hole. - Carpeting Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Not only is the best customer service I have experienced in a rug store, this is the best customer service I have experienced in any store, ever. I was greeted by the Owner (Oscar) who had one of his sales associates help me find a rug. They had a huge stack of budget 5X8 area rugs that they had just purchased, and 2 other employees unstacked them 1 by 1 so I could get a clear look - they must have unstacked at least 100 rugs just for me. I purchased a wool rug and pad for under $250, and the best part is the owner gave me a ride back to my apartment because I was on his way! He even helped me carry the rug pad into my building entrance. I will be coming back for all carpet & rug related purchases as long as I'm in the Chicago Area. read more

I bought 3 rugs from this company many years ago. They were beautiful and the service was great. Recently I had a them clean an expensive rug that was only a few years old, purchased from Bloomingdales and it will never be the same. The color black faded and the pattern from the backing is now visible all over the rug. Someone came to take a look and told me nothing was wrong and offered a 50% discount next time I have it cleaned!! Needless to say, I'm very upset as I have no recourse. read more

A couple of years ago, I had hard wood floors installed in my home. I then went looking for rugs. I first went to the Oscar Isberian store in Highland Park, and walked out very angry. The sleazoid salesman (the man had longish grey hair slicked back, had sunglasses on, and had his shirt open almost to the navel. All he was missing was a leisure suit from the 70s and a bunch of gold chains to complete the ensemble) was so rude to me. I had gone online looking at rugs from their company, and wrote down some of the sku numbers. He looked at the sku numbers and the names of the rugs and said there was nothing he could do for me since "obviously" I was looking for cheap rugs. In other words, if I didn't have $10,000 or more to spend, I was "obviously" wasting his time. I wound up going to Olson Rugs instead and purchased three rugs from them. A wool floor model, and two synthetic rugs. However, there was still a rug I'd seen online from Oscar Isberian which I couldn't get out of my mind, and hadn't been able to find anywhere else. It took me an additional few weeks to call the online side of this company and speak to someone there (from the Evanston store), who thankfully was very nice. I began by explaining my aversion to calling him in the first place due to my less than stellar experience at the Highland Park location. He apologized profusely for the attitude and behavior of that salesman and assured me that is not normal business practice. We then discussed the rug I was still interested in, and he gave me a very decent price on it (it was on sale at the time), and when the rug came in stock, it was delivered promptly to my home and the installation crew was very professional. So, I do recommend this company if you're looking for good quality rugs, and professional installation. I just also recommend staying away from the Highland Park store unless that horrid salesman is not there. No one should EVER be treated like he treated me. That is why I gave four stars instead of five, though I nearly gave three. The Evanston store is so much more professional, and will treat you with the respect you deserve, regardless of how much money you have to spend. read more

Well I have to say this is the place to go, I have still ( thanks to them) a rug I got from my mother after she passed, it's a 1920 12 by 9 ( I think) Iran maroon rug, when I moved and didnt have room for the rug, I rolled it up and stored it at my dad's house in his garage, off the floor. Well still not having room for it and my dad passing, my sister bought his house, rolled my rug up in a tarp and put it outside, ( yes I was upset) I looked up rug cleaning as soon as I found out my rug was outside for 6 months.... when Johanna answered the phone I know I probably sounded panicked. I told her the current state of my rug and she had them there the next day. When they enrolled my rug to my horror..... mold...... I about died, due to the weather the rug was wet and moldy as could be, and I must say when the men picking up the rug found out that this was my sister's doing, they gave her some shit but it was well deserved cuz I still do lol. Johanna reassured me that it would be ok and I must have called all the time to see what was happening. She was sweet enough to send me a picture of my rug right after it's cleaning, they did have repairs to do on the edges where time has taken a toll. I got to see my rug today and about burst into tears, they saved it and brought me back to my childhood, I laid on it and smelled it and it's perfect!!! She was so honest and understanding to my panic of a phone call, thank you so much I'm forever thankful for what you saved for me! read more

We came in here looking for an over-dyed highly saturated color Madeline Weinrib type of rug, such as the ones they have at ABC home and carpet in New York. I have to say that their website is not iPad/mobile or even user friendly which forced me to come in person to explain what exactly it was that I was looking for in my project, and which is why they don't get the full five stars. I was lucky enough to catch the owner who was extremely accommodating. We were able to look at a lot of great options and eventually picked the perfect area rug and two accent rugs for the aesthetic. I have to admit that's it's been quite a while, they kind of fell of my radar for a while but in my last visit I felt that they have done a very good job of keeping up with what is in demand. read more

Oscar Iberian has superior service, wonderful follow through and outstanding rugs. Importantly they are patient during the rug selection process. It has been my experience as an interior designer of over 25+ years, that clients need to be educated about what they are getting as well as' live' with the various patterns and colors to define their taste. Oscar Isberian does not pressure the consumer-they team with their client to discover the best rug for their taste. read more

As a design professional I have worked with Oscar and his team for several years. Their rugs are amazing and they have a wide variety. However it is their knowledge, guidance, and exceptional service that keeps us coming back. Our firm has come to rely on them and it is because not only are we getting beautiful rugs but they make it so easy. Rugs come in on time and are as beautiful - if not more so - than expected. The Oscar team has vast knowledge and are always helpful with educating you on what you are getting and guiding you to the best choice that is appropriate for your project. They really deliver and are always "on-call" to go above and beyond every step of the process. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more
