The amount of covers they have is incredible and all are stunning. I went planning to buy 2 or 3. I left with six and likely will return. My bf and I have just moved to a new apartment with a much bigger space so we're both excited to furnish it with things we both love. I knew I wanted to have a bright-coloured rug to contrast with our grey couch, in a bigger size (around 8x10) and within a very reasonable price point (around $500) since neither of us really wanted to spend too much on a rug. One weekend as we were picking up a few more things for the apartment and through Yelp, my bf's mum suggested we visit Cozy Rugs. We had just looked at rugs at another place nearby and none appealed to the manfriend. He's adamant that he wanted a soft rug. As soon as we walked in, he immediately pointed a rug style that he has seen me pin or send to him a few times. We both felt optimistic. I immediately zoned in on a cobalt blue trellis rug. My bf loved how soft the rugs were. We were there for quite some time mulling over the different styles, sizes and discussing how we would orient the rug. We didn't really come in with exact measurements of our place but knew that the 8x10 was the right choice. The person who helped us was helping another couple when we came in. He was very nice and let us know to keep looking around. After he was done with them, I thought he was super helpful and gave advice when needed. I liked that he was not pushy at all and extremely accommodating to all of us and our questions (we were shopping with my bf's parents). I've been searching for the area rug of my dreams for quite some time. Wishing for the perfect fit, the right texture, an adequate color, and something that could stand the tests of time (and pets). And this weekend, I found it! I finally feel complete. You see, I am not a fan of those "Oriental" rugs (ps, I've debated whether or not the use of Oriental to describe floor covering is PC several times over the last week, so if someone has a definitive answer, please correct me, I'll edit). First of all: they are not cute. Second of all: they are expensive. Third of all: they don't clean well. Fourth of all: They are not cute. Anyway, as I tired of countless paisley patterns, I finally found a store that has some more contemporary designs. (They also have the "other" kind, so not to fret if that's your thing, I'm not judging, I don't have to live with you!) So I made a random stop in the other afternoon whilst avoiding going home and doing anything seemingly productive. Stopped in, browsed about... Then I looked at the price, for a 5 x 8 area rug. $125 Shut up. For real? Yes, for real. And it is NICE! And it is CUTE! And the guy was not pushy at all, and even carried it out to my car! So now, my humble little living room finally has an anchor with a plush little square of carpet. And, I am pleased in my own little domestic way. And my pets are really excited to have something new to ruin. I'm really an adult, rugs make me excited. I think someone said that "this place works hard to please".. and that is spot on. I walked in not sure what to expect. This place is covered in rugs from wall to wall of all sizes and styles. I go to town with what I have and what I'm looking for. The gentleman (I hate me for not remembering.. Paul or Pete?) said the owner (possibly) wasn't in, but I could look around and then we started talking about fit, quality, preferences. He was awesome (and wasn't really the go-to-person, so to speak). We listened to what I was envisioning, looked at the rinky drink photos on my phone, we looked at big rugs and small rugs and then finally narrowed down my choices. By then the person in charge arrived and we had explained to-date what we had done and what I was looking for. He showed me a few options, but I kept going back to the original 2. As I was debating, I asked if I could sit on a few rugs to get a real feel of what it would like in my home. He was more than happy to honor my request (talk about service!). So even after all of that, I opted those original 2 again but with hesitation. He says.. usually your first gut is right BUT if you want to take it home and give it a try and it doesn't work, bring it right back and we'll swap it for the other one. WOW! I thought that was awesome and increased the confidence I had in his products. So I opted for one of them and couldn't be happier. NOW, Bonus was there was a yelp check-in offer for a free runner with select purchases. SCORE! He even helped me find something complimentary and my place looks fantastic. I have gotten so many compliments on it. LOVE IT! Now the only thing I do wish was that it was a bit thicker, BUT I think I'll just opt for a ultra plush rug pad.
