    Oh there's no place like Home Goods for the holidays! This Home Goods location always has what I need. And so much more! Although it is often a bit tight to navigate through the aisles with a cart, I can always find some great items at low prices. Check out the gourmet foods! These make nice gift basket adds or unique care packages filled with items like sauces, noodles, seasonings and cookies, chocolate or tea. I love designing my own little comfort basket by making one stop to Home Goods! Thank you to the courteous and helpful employees that make shopping here a great experience. #ThankYouThursday2021

    HomeGoods is a great place to find discounted items for the home. This location has a large clearance section near the front of the through and throughout each department. The lines here on the weekend moves pretty quickly.     We come to this location often and are always satisfied with the customer service although on this Wednesday evening team member Karla went above and beyond to assist me and was extremely patient with all my questions. Not only did Karla greet me with a smile, she offered her retail expertise which in return had me purchasing more ! Win/win for the company and myself :) The store was clean, aisle swept, bathroom clean, merchandise stocked.     This is the place for finding those things you need or think you need and cannot think of where you'd find it. You will also find those items you didn't know you needed as I tell myself to keep to my budget or adjust it as needed. For instance today I needed a gallon sized glass jar with a tight lid and a spigot to dispense contents into bottles. It was just one in stock. Lucky me. Clean and nicely lighted for your exact selection. Fault: the wait in snaking line chain seems to slow the check out process.

    Home goods is a terrific spot to pick up some housewares or one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends. It's difficult to leave with only one item in your hand cause you will definitely buy more. There are a lot of unique items with good quality and lovely designs, so you will be tempted to full more your cart with their products. I went to get plates and glasses the last time I visited and ended up with a whole cart. So, you must bring a large budget when you go shopping here. The checkout procedure went off without a hitch also. The staff are nice and friendly, they are able to entertain their customers well, without problem. So, I will definitely come back here again. And you should too. I even skipped my favorite anime series update to purchase at their establishment! And it's worth the time and money. I just hope they will get more items for me to check out next time.

    Excellent Home goods location with vast selection and good clearance items. The customer service is GREAT. One of the employees, went above and beyond on the phone to find an item for me and even remembered me when I came in. Home goods is a great place to grab some stuff for the house or unique gifts for family and loved ones. It's hard to walk out with just 1 item. Last time I went for spoons and left with a full cart. The process at checkout was flawless and smooth. I even skipped a softball game to continue shopping at their store! ha. I hope next time i'm there they are working!!

    I like the location of this Home Goods because there are a lot of great stores near here so I can get all my shopping done in the same area. This store has all the same stuff as every other Home Goods so that's not the problem. The down side to this store is that it's really over packed with stuff and not very organized. I also feel like it's a little under staffed. There always seems to be spill over from the shelves to the floor and it's a little hard to navigate through. I also think the flow could be a little better with where things are located in the store for an easier transition. One thing that really frustrates me is that I have found a lot of broken items here which stinks when you like something but it's the last one and it's broken. Other than that I do enjoy coming to this location and have always found what I am looking for. The staff has always been very pleasant as well.

    We've been here for about 1 hour already. My sister is having a hard time to choose what kind and color of tables and chairs for her living room. I suggest to her that she choose a plain round table with wood chairs. It looks perfect to her living room since it was aesthetic. It has a color of white, beige and gray. At first she doesn't want to choose my recommended because it was so simple but at end she purchased it. We also bought a pillow for her couch. It's the good thing that their pillow was soft and comfortable. We went to the counter and there is long line. After we paid it we told to staff that we need and put our purchased in our car. We gave them a tip for a nice job. I only gave 4 stars rating because we got bored on waiting for our turn in the counter.

Valerie instantly made us feel welcome and guided us with expertise and knowledge of brands, materials, and structure. Before we knew it, we bought an incredible new leather couch, leather recliner and leather ottoman! It's wasn't just about her salesmanship which is beyond outstanding, it was about giving us everything she had- 100% customer service. I've been in sales for 47 years and am old school giving my own clients 1000% as a Realtor, and seeing Val give the same was refreshing, and meaningful to us. We've been to other stores looking and the service (if we were even acknowledged) was cold , uninformative, and made us feel the salesman was inconvenienced. Not the case with Val at Penny Mustard. We felt like family. Val and I hit it off instantly. And we appreciated the comraderie among all the sales girls working. They worked helping each other. Again what a phenomenal experience we had. I just had to brag about them. It's just so darn wonderful to see that people still care about superb customer care and service. Next time you need furniture, run don't walk to Penny Mustard and see Val. Absolutely outstanding! We adore her!

They have the largest selection by far, and most of what they accept is in good condition. There's always something interesting in their collection, which at any time has handmade, vintage, collectible, and other unique items alongside more conventional ones. The more desirable vintage and antique items won't be cheap, but they'll be cheaper than at a curated vintage or antique furniture shop. Jubilee isn't a thrift store, and in some cases their prices can be a bit high. Everything is final sale, so there's an element of "buyer beware," like most resale shops. They put the brand name on the price tag if it's a selling point, but not so much for cheaper brands. Once I purchased an item here, and when I got home I found the label and saw it was made in China by a low-end furniture company. I never would have paid as much had I known, so I felt a bit duped. However I still wound up going back as I never found as much furniture I liked anywhere else. And for what it's worth, the item has held up. Most of their service is provided by volunteers, who are nice, but some are more knowledgeable than others. To sum up, it's not perfect, but in a retail landscape where most new furniture is either flimsy "manufactured wood" or ultra-expensive high end brands, Jubilee helps fill an important gap for affordable quality furniture.

    Finally, after nine long months, my furniture has arrived! Yay!…read more I ordered the furniture on New Year's Day 2022, and today was the day. What brought me here was two-fold: the immediate reason is that they had a daybed on clearance and I needed a guest bed; I had been looking for a full-sized daybed since it could serve multiple purposes. In addition, I had been looking at sofas for months and noticed in their catalog a couch with arms that had a pleated arm, which I have not seen before. Usually in couches I see a standard track, sock, or some other similar arm, but I loved the look of the pleat. I had intended to only purchase the daybed, but decided I might as well just get it all. I didn't realize how backlogged they were so it's good I did. The process of ordering was... for me... involved, but others I am certain won't take as long. I wanted to make the perfect choice for me, so I looked at basically every fabric they had. You might think that's hyperbole but I honestly think I did. The only thing I knew I wanted was for it to be very firm and for it to have pleats on the arms. I spent 3-5 hours at the store that day viewing couches, fabrics, deciding on pillow fabrics, and so on. There actually was a big snowstorm that day and they sent a few people home and by the time I left I had to drive like 40 miles per hour home from Glendale Heights to Ravenswood, but Chris (who no longer works there) was very patient and the other folks who work there were great too. I need to get an ottoman for my new couch, and I'd be happy to work with any of these designers. However, my review is a bit mixed, unfortunately. Whilst working with the designers was good and they were very helpful, the delivery wasn't as good. I decided to err on the side of a higher review so that I don't give too much weight to this somewhat small thing, but the delivery was a problem in two ways. One, when I asked the guy if he could lift the daybed slightly so I could adjust the rug that was underneath, he gave me a look like I had called him a slur and grudgingly moved it a tiny bit. His reaction made me not want to ask him for help so I just struggled with it later on my own. Secondly, I noticed when I returned upstairs that they had gotten some sort of brown goo on my brand new (fewer than two and a half weeks) painted walls. I tried washing it off but only got so much. So now I have to correct that, which is really, really annoying.

    Buyer beware: We've been without a functioning couch for over a month -- and we do not recommend…read morethis company. We ordered a couch and selected a delivery date based on the delivery options the company provided. We planned around it, expecting a normal delivery of brand-new furniture. Instead, we've dealt with repeated damage, failed deliveries and no clear point of contact. And when you try to get help, there's effectively no human support to resolve the problem. Here's what happened from start to finish: Delivery attempt No. 1: No warning, then "it's damaged" On the scheduled delivery day, we received no advance notice of any issues. The delivery team arrived and told us the couch had been damaged at the warehouse and would not be delivered. The drivers even said we should have been notified ahead of time, but we weren't. They proceeded with the rest of the order, but once the truck was opened it was clear additional pieces were damaged, too -- specifically the coffee table and side tables. The drivers refused to deliver them because the damage was obvious. So after waiting for delivery, we ended the day with no couch and damaged items that could not be delivered. Delivery attempt No. 2: Couch arrives -- but defective and incorrectly assembled We waited for a second attempt. This time the couch did arrive, but it was in unacceptable condition for a new purchase. It had: * a rip/tear * improper assembly * a bend in the center * a bottom riser dragging * the wrong legs We were not comfortable sitting on it. We were also pushed toward "repair" as a solution, which is not reasonable for a brand-new couch that arrived defective and incorrectly assembled. Delivery attempt No. 3: The "replacement" is broken on the truck This attempt was supposed to be the fix: exchange the broken couch for a new, non-broken couch. Instead, the delivery team told us the replacement couch had a bent footrest while still on the truck. They said they tried to repair it, but it still wasn't functioning properly. After three delivery attempts, we were once again left without a working couch. Over a month later: still no resolution It has now been more than a month and we still do not have a functioning couch or a clear resolution. Communication has been slow and inconsistent, we've been bounced between people, and there is no single person taking ownership of the issue through completion. Bottom line We paid for new furniture. We've received damaged items, defective assembly, and a replacement that was broken before it even came off the truck -- plus no reliable way to speak to someone who can fix it. We do not recommend this company. If you're thinking about ordering, be warned: if something goes wrong, you may be stuck for weeks with no clear path to a resolution.
