I recently had a disappointing experience at Target that has left me reconsidering my future shopping choices. My kids and I visited the store tonight and proceeded to the self-checkout. However, instead of a welcoming atmosphere, we were met with unwarranted scrutiny from an employee.
As we were checking out, a younger girl approached us without a greeting and proceeded to stare at us as if we were doing something wrong. This lack of basic courtesy and professionalism is unacceptable. Sadly, this isn't the first time I've encountered such behavior from Target employees. On a previous visit, I also experienced unnecessary scrutiny without any acknowledgment or assistance offered.
As a loyal customer who spends a significant amount of money at Target, it's disheartening to feel unwelcome and unappreciated. Despite my past positive experiences with the store, this recent encounter has made me question whether I want to continue supporting a company that fails to prioritize customer service.
It's evident that there's a need for improvement in Target's customer service training and employee management. The lack of basic greetings, assistance, and professionalism is a reflection of poor training and management oversight. It's imperative for Target managers to address these issues and ensure that all employees understand the importance of providing excellent customer service.
Regrettably, unless I see a noticeable improvement in customer service at Target, I won't be returning as a shopper. It's unfortunate to reach this decision, but it's essential for companies to value and respect their customers if they want to retain their loyalty and patronage. read more
