They're Unorganized with horrible service. They will also follow you around the store and to the register.

They don't have display cases, but huge boxes of merchandise as seen on Amazon (not TV). I don't think it's related to the internationally known e-commerce website. Alibaba is also the main character from the famous Arabian folk tale. Any ways, as I was saying, don't think all products from China look cheap. They're seriously made for high end consumers. Like cell phone accessories brand LeYi. I never knew this brand until I bought a cell phone case from Amazon. They got unique design and functionality. Yesterday July 31 was their first day. I arrived around 3 pm. They were busy unloading and setting up the shop. There were few customers. Employees greeted everyone as we came in. Prices are still handwritten on the crates. I saw $1, $2, $3, $4, $5... But I saw nice stuff in the crates. Oh, they take cash and credit cards. I wasn't planning to stay long because I could overspend for trinkets. Some items can become customized gifts for businesses. I'll be back when we can safely meet in person. Because I will buy a bunch of stuff for my meetup giveaways. **Updated after my second visit and chatted with co-owner Jason** They have plan to expend this operation to 10 stores in Houston. I think it's a great concept. I wish them luck and I will be back every month to see new products.

The problem came when it was time to check out. The guy on the first register from the checkout line to the left around 1:45pm on December 24, 2024 is the reason I am leaving this review. My mom and I were next in line to checkout and the other registers were occupied by other customers alsobchecking out. When the young cashier guy finished ringing up his customer instead of checking us out next, he walks off and pretends to busy himself with something which was very obvious he didn't want to ring up anyone BUT when the next register opened up and my mom and I walked to the next cashier he immediately went back to his register to take the next customer behind us. At that moment it was extremely clear he didn't not want to ring us up for whatever reason but that was extremely rude! I don't want to say race was a part of it but I can't think of any other reason he choose to intentionally not ring us up when we had the same amount of items the customer he helped before and after us had. This really messed up our first time experience at Ollies. The cashier lady to the right side we ended up going to was very nice and signed my mom up for the Ollies Army rewards. After we left I called and spoke to the manager, I think his name is Mike or Michael. I explained what just took place and he was very nice and said he will run the cameras back and also notify upper management. We appreciate him for hearing our concern and not dismissing us. Hopefully the cashier takes a customer service course or finds a new job where he free to be rude else where. This was very upsetting to be treated the way we were and it being obvious in plain sight. Hopefully a real consequence for the young boy comes out of it.

A "bargain outlet" with 500+ locations across 3 dozen states, they have massive inventory that covers everything from mattresses to children's books. If Costco and Dollar Tree had a baby, it would be named Ollie's. I hate to generalize by saying they have everything, but it's really hard to suggest that they don't. There's appliances, apparel, sporting equipment, toiletries, electronics, office supplies, storage supplies, shoes, sporting gear, pet supplies, home decor, etc. It's really easy to get lost in everything they have. However, calling in might be an issue as their customer service is very spotty at best. The website isn't the most reliable in confirming inventory, so perusing in person is usually ideal. At the end of the day, affordable stuff that doesn't feel cheap even when it is. More importantly, I've scored some impressive deals and almost everything was of good-to-great quality. "Good stuff cheap" happens to be their slogan and is a motto I can certainly live by whenever I shop here. ____________ (#1) aka "missing out" (#2) Most of the country has Dollar Tree. The store sign is as retro as the rest of the strip mall block and has remained a steady place for affordable Japanese imported goods. Compared to other stores in the country, this one is spacious and features an excellent inventory for all to explore. The store layout is simple, but clean, organized, and extremely tidy. Their kitchenware and home goods are my go-to and the office / school supplies are always a hit. Every few weeks the selection of goods changes, so while they have a wide range of products, keep an eye out for seasonal goods like snacks, stuffed animals, and holiday items. From quirky gifts to household items, there really is something for everyone here. Gone are the days where everything was a $1, but most items are priced right around the $1.50 mark and up. I don't know how it's going to look due to the upcoming tariffs, but fingers crossed that the price tag stays relatively the same. Their budget friendly concept means folks will still keep coming, Because parking is in a large shared lot, it's never an issue finding a spot. They have the infrastructure, client base, talented stockers and access of locale to usurp Nordstrom Rack and similar models. Their inability to achieve that level of quality, however, is purely self-inflicted. They are clearly allergic to the concept of quality customer service and err on the side of caution, in treating the customer as poorly as possible, lest someone accidentally become confused and forget that they are shopping at Ross+. Instead of settling for being the Target of discount stores, and at times making a tangible effort to become the Walmart, why not get out of your way and pretend to know the meaning of the term "customer service?" I am including two pictures of the two Jack Spade bags I found at this store, and you will easily be able to understand why Marshall's can't have nice things (the larger of the two was damp and smelled like mold). It's bad enough that you treat your treasures like trash, but your employees are categorically opposed to the idea of a customer ever daring to set foot in their domains again. If you want to be better, you have to do better first.
