Drove from Austin to Houston in search of outfits for my cousin's mehendi ceremony…read more I've spent the past few month searching for outfits online and the SF Bay Area. I decided to visit Houston to try to find an outfit that matched both my expectations and budget. Princess Couture satisfied both requirements! Hiba was so patient and helpful. She helped me find outfits for both my sister and I. My sister was not with me but had specific requests that princess couture was able to help me meet! Some of the pieces that I wanted to purchase were not the right size. The team was able to take my measurements and alter the outfits for my custom fit. All salwar suits came with sleeves which we had added on. All of these alterations were done within three hours and I was able to take them home with me to Austin that same day. Patience, Customer Service, Collections will have me coming back for sure!!

We walked in because it was open and I think the owner was there. We stated that we wanted to see bridal dresses and he was kind of rude. He said the only reason he was here was because he had a client and that he couldn't show me anything. He was talking so fast and was rude. He said the lady who is usually here isn't here and he doesn't know what to show me. He gave an address of a different bridal shop that wasn't even open then. Definitely go somewhere else!

She's really the top of the line designer and will get you anything you want and need at the drop of a hat, not because I only know her. She's made my dreams come true and both my sister in laws. They both had other orders made before Almas aunty, and that's the worst mistake they could have made. They both, as brides, didn't have outfits last minute (a week before their weddings 2014/2016) Almas aunty has saved both their lives. Got outfits made and shipped from India within the week! Turned out beautifully. Yes some of her outfits are repeats, but I believe the brides do that themselves. They see previous outfits and choose the designs as it is but different colors. She has to give them what they want essentially. Her shipments come every week and it's basically off the runway!! Some traditional and others, out of the world! I realized I hadn't given the rest of my payment. Not once she called me and asked me about the money. I went in two months later because I had completely forgot that I still had an account with her!! I went in yesterday and took care of it. She is always all smiles. She really needs to rest sometimes. She's been sick and still on the clock! Props to her. I love her work, top of the line and WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED!! She's the best in Sugar Land.

To be honest, I've only been to Harwin once before this day. IYKYK. It's a place to get a deal on…read moreprom dresses and Indian/Pakistani traditional attire among other things. My friends and I had our fairly regular brunch date, and someone mentioned going to Harwin after to try on lehengas in preparation for our friend's mehndi party. One of my friends in the group was apprehensive about shopping, but we ended up going. The future bride took us to Roop Sari Palace and showed us the way including the aunties that helped us find dresses in our size. It's basically by bra size in inches. There were so many to choose from that it was a little bit overwhelming at first. Everything was just so beautiful. I literally wanted a couple of them and was torn between two before I settled on one. I must've tried 8-9 different ones which aren't that easy to get on/off. We spent 3 hours there. I even saw some in the kids section that I thought would be fine so that I wouldn't have to hem the long lehenga skirt. I actually didn't try any from the kids section though. Lol. There are only 2 dressing rooms that are small. You could barely hang up 2 or 3 pieces because the skirts are so full, and some have a petticoat. We and other young ladies shared them going in and out at times and asking for our phones or shoes. It felt like a fashion show similar to the movie 27 Dresses where she tries on all of her bridesmaids dresses. There was one particular auntie who was helpful and brought us more lehenga designs we might like, tighten the skirt or plete/drape the dupatta. Mine was on sale for a fair price considering all the beading/sequins, and our bride-to-be friend did some price bargaining for our other friend. I had to get mine altered since the lehenga was too long, and I lost so much weight after purchasing it 5 months ago. I took it to a tailor, but they do offer tailoring here. I didn't want to drive all the way back here just for that. It's a beautiful, traditional lehenga, and I enjoyed wearing it at the mehndi party and got many compliments. I hope I get to wear it again or at least pieces of it for different occasions. I'm told there are plenty of other stores nearby like this one, so I'm sure you're bound to find something you like that fits your fancy.

I came here with a group of women who were learning how to tie sari. While waiting, I look for men's kurta. I'm due to add another kurta to my wardrobe. I think I want something fancier than my current collection. I looked for something bright with blings (jewelry and beads). I tried a couple of them made of rayon but they had plain front. That would require some pearl necklace to outfit correctly. I can't think of any occasion to dress up with jewelry and kurta. So, I decided on an all-in-one kurta. The lady was so helpful. She picked out a few pastel-colored kurtas and a bright orange one in size 46. Not sure how she knew I like orange. I skipped pastels because they look like pajamas. They offer alteration service on site. They charge $10 to shorten the sleeves $10. The kurta I picked up was $79. I can't wait to show off at a social event this summer.
