I discovered them because my Silhouette glasses broke on the day before Thanksgiving. I was desperate to get them fixed before the long weekend. I called several shops and no one could help. Long story short they repaired them for free even though I did not buy them here. I did get my next two pairs from here and was 100% satisfied both times. Just the other day my lenses were badly scratched in an accident and Fedora has come through for me again with excellent service, genuine care and compassion. The only time I felt the doctor was giving an in-depth look at what was going on with my eyes. They offer you two additional exams that insurance does not pay for, but they are not expensive and worth it for the amount of detail analysis/images they are able to get on your eyes. I hate shopping and shopping for glasses is not remotely on my list of "favorite things" to do; however, she was very helpful and narrowed the type of styles I liked so I could pick what worked best for me. Our appointments were back to back; The women working at the front desk were both personable and helpful. We waited maybe five minutes each to be seen...not long at all. I was impressed especially by the technology in his office because my previous eye doctor did not have anything like this. I felt like I was at an arcade, with all of the different machines meant to measure my vision. It seemed like a very thorough exam that didn't just rely on what I said but actual computer technology. I don't know about you, but whenever I'm getting my eyes checked, I almost feel like it's a test and I might be answering it wrong. I felt like the various machines prevented me from second-guessing myself. Dr. Alpert himself was very friendly, personable, and asked multiple times if I had any questions about anything we were discussing. For many years, I had gone to a different eyecare center and would get a prescription and then buy my glasses online. Based on his very thorough exam, and recommendations from the doctor, we went with eyeglasses that did cost a significant amount more than I'm used to paying. However, I do believe that we will get what we pay for when they come in, which is expected to be in the next two weeks The young man who helped us pick out frames was very patient as I couldn't make up my mind. I got my my prescription right there, it was so convenient to pick out my fun frames and lenses the same day in their optical department! The opticians really listened and took care of my needs, I got the best prices for the best materials! I even sent in my receipt for my out-of-network reimbursement from my insurance!
