Our appointments were back to back; The women working at the front desk were both personable and helpful. We waited maybe five minutes each to be seen...not long at all. I was impressed especially by the technology in his office because my previous eye doctor did not have anything like this. I felt like I was at an arcade, with all of the different machines meant to measure my vision. It seemed like a very thorough exam that didn't just rely on what I said but actual computer technology. I don't know about you, but whenever I'm getting my eyes checked, I almost feel like it's a test and I might be answering it wrong. I felt like the various machines prevented me from second-guessing myself. Dr. Alpert himself was very friendly, personable, and asked multiple times if I had any questions about anything we were discussing. For many years, I had gone to a different eyecare center and would get a prescription and then buy my glasses online. Based on his very thorough exam, and recommendations from the doctor, we went with eyeglasses that did cost a significant amount more than I'm used to paying. However, I do believe that we will get what we pay for when they come in, which is expected to be in the next two weeks The young man who helped us pick out frames was very patient as I couldn't make up my mind. I appreciated that he pointed out some frames that were on sale for us since I was buying two pair and we do not have insurance for them. By far the best doctor I have ever seen. Although he has a very dry personality, meaning there isn't a lot of chit chat always put me at ease. He has retired and I now have Dr Brandsdorfer. Extremely knowledgeable about my past corneal issues. He never rushes me and answers all my questions. He also gives me options and his recommendations. I have also seen Dr Busley who is also great! So as far as wait times, I just prepare myself when I have a doctor's apt. and accept it. If you want a good eye doctor, this is the office to go to. I hope this helps.
