Dr. Melissa Lambright, OD, provided me with probably the best Optometry experience of my life. Lets start this with a story. I had recently lost my glasses. After exhaustively looking everywhere I ordered a new pair, but had not yet taken delivery of them, when it was time to travel to my parents house for the Christmas holiday. So, I did what I usually do. I traveled only with the contacts I had in my eyes. Lo and behold, I ripped one of my contacts while taking them out on Christmas day. I have a very strong prescription (-6.75) so there was no way I was able to drive back home to the Boston area without having corrected vision. On Dec 26th I must have called every single Optometrist, Eye Center, Walmart Eye store, etc. in the greater Hartford area, to find out that they were either closed, unable or unwilling to help. I had thought it would be easy to just buy a box from someone as I had my prescription in my car (lucky break) but no such luck. On the off chance of success and in desperation I left a message on Sight, LLC's voicemail. Little did I know but this paged Dr. Lambright on her own holiday travels in the Midwest and she called me back. Not only did she arrange for her employees in her store to give me a sample contact lens, but she did it for no charge. I am obviously very grateful to her, and I can't help but recommend her services. If her regular customer service is anywhere near as good as my experience, Sight LLC is definitely worth your visit when you look for new contacts or glasses. read more

Before scheduling my exam, I specifically asked whether FSA payments were accepted and was told yes. After completing my exam and ordering glasses, my WEX FSA card was declined. WEX later advised me that the transaction was rejected because of the expense/merchant coding used by the provider. When I contacted the office after calling 3 times, I was told that other customers had experienced similar issues, but no accommodation or solution was offered. Because I could not use my FSA funds as expected, I was forced to cancel my eyeglasses order. I found the experience disappointing and frustrating. Now my insurance has been billed for the eye exam and I have to go find another optical shop that knows how to submit FSA payments. I should not have to pay out of pocket because they have known about this issue and basically lied and said they could handle FSA expenses when they obviously cannot. read more

Not good outcome in attempting to update prescription for contact lenses. Appears that they were billing insurance even for minimum service. Staff was friendly however read more

they cannot keep their employees in west hartford or in farmington. for a health care company they are extremely cruel when it comes to their employees becoming sick read more

Prompt, courteous and professional service with a great selection of frames! Their diagnostic equipment is state of the art. Highly recommend. read more

They provided poor contact lenses for me which were not suitable. At my follow up appointment, I discussed that when wearing my contacts, my vision was blurry, my eyes were strained, and my eyes felt uncomfortable. They told me that no one experiences that, and my vision must be so clear that I am not used to it. They did not explore other options to maximize my eye comfort or provide top-tier customer service. Since I wasn't convinced, I purchased a new brand of contacts rather than what they recommended. The new lenses are fantastic, moist, and went in my eyes like butter. My vision is perfect compared to using what they recommended and it is cheaper. Additionally, they are very bad with billing and double change you and forget you paid. They also withdrew from my account instead of refunding me. It was fixed but the point is they are morons trying to fit in West Hartford. read more

I waited several months to get an appointment. They had a cancellation and I accepted the appointment . A few days before the appointment I called to confirm and they had given the appointment to someone else. They didn't do anything to make it right. I had a prepaid ride because I don't drive. They had no respect for my time or for the transportation fee I lost. read more

Sight is an awesome Eye doctors office, the staff are kind, and they got my prescription PERFECT! I highly recommend Sight eye health.

Based on the reviews for Sight, you either love this place or hate it! Unfortunately, I didn't love it! Felt like I was being up-sold from the moment I walked in. Included in their new patient paperwork is a slick marketing piece promoting a machine that takes a video of your eyes. Of course, it's not covered by insurance and has an up-charge of $45. Even though I declined the service, they managed to tell me they found something with my eyes that required using the machine for a photo. In addition, They told me I needed to schedule follow-up visits... Again, not covered by insurance! When they found out I was a few weeks shy of my annual VSP vision coverage, rather than requesting an exception, they submitted the claim thru my medical insurance without my permission... resulting in a higher deductible and no coverage on some of their services. They do have a great selection of eyewear, but it's at a premium price... $825 + for an average pair of glasses. If you do decide to visit Sight, hold on to your wallet... Otherwise they'll find a way to get your cash! read more

Over three years later it was time for a new prescription. Progressive lenses this time around so off to Sight for new glasses I went once again. After my last experience I would not go anywhere else. I have the hardest time picking frames because the ones they have are all so beautiful. The staff knows just which ones will look best on you. With Susan & Iveta's help I narrowed it down to three pair. So two regular and one pair of sunnys later I'm one happy stylish lady. read more

I've bought a few pair of glasses from Sight over the years. This time was different, like customizing a high end car. While I'm very picky expecting to maybe be interested in one pair, they helped me narrow down and categorize 11 pairs, and I had fun with the entire team. Yesterday I picked up the new pair that have high definition progressive lenses. When I tried them on, I was not at expecting to feel like I had just regained my vision - I wish I had recorded my reaction! It's like I have 2 4K TVs for each eye. Very impressed with my recent experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Sight! read more

Poor experience! It seems like after the service they don't have any responsibility except asking for the money over and over again! When I called to schedule the appointment and asked them if they take my insurance, they said yes with no other explanation( after the service, they told me they does not participate with my plan and " it's my responsibility to understand my insurance!). And they kept ask for payment which I have already made! Do not go to this store! The only thing they do is asking for money! read more

I was already unhappy with the experience here. Like other reviewers, it's all about upselling. They use language to make you think you need additional tests which are not necessary. The contact lens fitting charge and wait is not transparent or communicated appropriately. While I moved on from this place a while ago, the motivation to write this review came from an email from them reminding me of an appointment I had soon. If I did not follow through with it without cancelling 24 hrs or more before I would be charged $25. I didn't even set anything up with them, and had had no contact with this place for a year. After my last experience the last thing I wanted was to come in to their office. This place is about the money, not you. read more

Not a pleasant experience at all. Both my wife and I recently went here it had been my second time and the service has gone down hill considerably. Dr. Melissa Lambright is always trying to sell you something through out your visit here. There is a general lack of good doctor patient interaction. The whole experience felt like they were herding cattle not giving health care. Yes you want to sell glasses but not while I'm getting an eye exam and my pupils are dilated. It was a very disappointing experience for an upscale optometrist the doctor needs to work on her bedside manners. read more

I was pretty unhappy with this clinic but stayed with them because they were close to my home and I was too busy in graduate school to find a new eye place. The office is very ubncomfortable and they double book appointments. Once they dialiate your eyes they place you in the uncomfortable main room where there are bright lights and it is busy. The whole practice feels very money oriented and you feel a bit like they are just trying to get money from you. read more

I gave them a second chance this year. The service is absolutely appalling. I had my appointment, and prior to, as instructed I was to complete their forms. Upon check out I noticed all my information was from 2 years ago and I was assured that they would update my information once they input the forms I had completed. I was waiting for sample contacts and a week and a day has passed so I call them, because usually getting a sample pair does not take this long. I called...Them: "oh they're here". Me: "How long have they been there?". Me: "Im not sure, we called you and left a message". Me: "you most certainly did not." Turns out they still have all my old information. NOTHING was updated, not my phone #, not my address. Did you just throw the forms you made me complete away? Really? The incompetence on something so basic is horrendous. read more

The other reviews here are spot-on about Sight. My ongoing experience as a new patient/customer (which I hesitate to write about since it is indeed ongoing): 1. At least a 10 min wait regardless of your appointment and when you arrive, even if early; 2. Prescription is significantly different than prior Dr., and diagnosed for first time ever with a stigmatism. Still not entirely sure that the contacts I now have for a year are precisely correct, giving it some time to adjust; 3. Way, way more expensive than I have ever experienced (and I normally don't get excited about cost of eye care -- typically is what it is, but this place stretches that notion to its limit); 4. Feel like being up-sold constantly from the moment you walk-in; 5. Make you keep coming back for fittings and tests, etc.--reinforcing the feeling that you are being up-sold at every turn. The system they have set up clearly is designed to maximize the opportunities to put you in the chair to sell you frames. 6. Overall just not customer/patient oriented at all. Tough to describe--the place is friendly, but I never ever feel even remotely comfortable there, never feel like I am valued in any way. It's just a retail shop--superficially friendly, but cold and exceedingly impersonal. Which isn't a good combination with suspect prescription (at least so far, time will tell). read more

Mixed feelings here - broke it down into bad and good news below: Bad News: During my exam I asked Dr. Lambright why a test scheduled for a follow-on exam was necessary. I was told to not take the test would "simply be reckless". That in my opinion is not a useful answer at all and comes across pretty alarmist. I was expecting a somewhat detailed medical reason. Overall felt that my questions and opinions were not valued. As I was making my appointment for the recommended tests I asked how much it would cost and was told $250 before insurance (b/c they can't calculate what insurance will cover in advance). Turns out after the exam the tests cost closer to $450 before insurance, and after my insurance the cost was closer to $250 - not pleased to learn about that after the fact. Finally, during the test with one of the technicians, I complained that the dot I was supposed to look at was very blurry and was told not to worry about it. Then halfway through the rather long test, she stopped it because I was doing so bad - at this point she realized she had put in the wrong polarity of lens. I understand mistakes happen - but when I mention things are very blurry, you would think someone would double check the setup. Good News: The staff is friendly, welcoming and patient. The glasses selection is large and very interesting (they have a lot of unique stuff). The glasses staff certainly are eager to sell you a pair of glasses but I did get the impression they want you find the right pair and are NOT just looking to make a quick sale. They even happily took pictures of me with different pairs on so I could show my wife. They always call or text to remind you of upcoming appointments. Their hours are convenient for appointments on a busy schedule. The office is modern and clean and easy to find. If you are trying out contacts they give you a shockingly large number of trials which is kind of fun (varying brands, daily's vs monthly's, axis for astigmatism, etc.). I've never had such a thorough contact fitting experience in my life and I've been wearing them for well over ten years. read more

I purchased frames and lenses from Sight and had a great experience. Everyone was personable and approachable. Accepted VSP insurance. Wonderful people and great frame selection. read more

Very poor customer service. I arrived early for my appointment which they had cancelled because they said I 'had not confirmed' my appointment. In the numerous texts/email there was no indication a response was warranted. In fact they detailed the cancellation fees if I was a no show. They had me wait for 30 minutes at which point they were not able to indicate what time the MD would see me. The frame selection is amazing but I would never return for eye care. read more

Sight is a beautiful office and a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is professional and clean. The staff is always so friendly and provides excellent customer service. Dr. Lambright is knowledgable and has excellent bedside manner. You can tell she really cares. Our whole family has seen Dr. Lambright for years, even our children. She's a mom too so she's exceptional with kids. Our older son has gone through her vision therapy program and was able to make some great strides with his visual processing issues. And to top it off, they have some of the highest quality coolest glasses and sunglasses around. There are also some lower price point options such as Ray Ban to fit every budget. Insurance is accepted. Highly recommend! read more

Everyone is very nice but they try to upsell you from the minute you walk in the door. I don't care for that and asked them not to and they still did telling me I wouldn't be happy unless I added on this and that and that they were just trying to help me etc. It's a business so i get it. What's more disturbing is that they gave me the wrong prescription by a long shot and got my astigmatism wrong. My wife had the same experience. Hers was slightly off, mine was way off. I got my glasses somewhere else and due to being out of town ended up seeing an ophthalmologist to look at the glasses I had made using Visions prescription. I had tried getting used to them and they were giving me headaches. The ophthalmologist told me that the prescription was completely wrong and was pretty shocked at how far off they were. She pointed at my history and showed a gradual change over the years and then a complete change in Visions prescription. The prescription that she came up with was not only correct but showed the same gradual change in my eyes as I'd had in past years. Bottom line, stay away from this place. read more

Awful experience. Staff does not respond in a timely manner and just leaves you high and dry. I was a patient pre-pandemic and I have been trying to get into a pair for glasses since Jan 2020. Picked up first pair in Feb 2020 just before pandemic. Couldn't wear them with a prism. Gave me headaches and made me nauseous. Took over 6 months to get into another pair b/c of pandemic and they cannot accommodate my mask exemption (w/doctor letter in compliance with Governor's executive order). So they worked with me through glass door of office to "measure" me for bi-focal and they are SO off I cannot use them! Now it's been another 6+ months and I still have no glasses and cannot see at all! They tell me to go somewhere that can take my mask exemption but no new place will see me. Other doctor offices have been able to work with me one way or another but they refuse! They CAN accept my doctors letter they just WON'T. Covid isn't the only problem in the world. People need to see too! This place SUCKS! Stay away! read more

I have had a lifelong phobia about my eyes. I've dreaded going to the eye doctor every time my prescription needs updating. But because I don't want to wear glasses every day, especially on special occasions like my upcoming wedding, I went to Dr. Lambright to try contacts. I was SO nervous, but she is the biggest sweetheart! Every, single person on her staff is delightful and everyone made me feel so welcome and never made me feel silly about being so nervous. Sarah helped with with the I&R - and after two appointments I got it. She is the most calm, patient and kind person you'll ever meet! Dr. Lambright's practice is super clean and inviting. I would recommend her to anyone! Extreme professionalism, but most importantly to me, she treats you and talks to you like a normal person! She takes the time to explain and doesn't get frustrated by anything. I have NO clue what these bad reviewers are talking about. Sight is the best! read more

My wife and I went to Sight yesterday to get a new pair of frames and prescription lenses. Susan greeted us immediately and laid out a sample of styles to get a sense of what we liked. After a quick and pressure-free process of elimination, we found a pair of frames we really liked. I'm not well-versed in the myriad lens options, but Susan took the time to explain to me what was covered by my vision insurance and what my cost would be. I don't buy glasses often but I will certainly go back when the time comes. read more

This place is disorganized, deceiving, and overpriced. I waited 25 minutes for my appointment (simple eye exam), and was tricked into getting a $45 3-D video of my eyes. Once I got my eyes dilated, I waited half an hour for the optometrist to simply come out and check my eyes. 2 frustrating hours later, I walked out paying way more than I needed or expected to. I do not recommend this place. read more

I had my first appointment with Dr. Lambright a few weeks ago and I was thrilled about the whole thing. Her location is bright and clean, her staff was extremely nice, friendly, helpful - all the good stuff. Dr. Lambright is a very nice and extremely professional optometrist. She gave me a very thorough exam and, what I liked the most about her, she really made a point about explaining to me my different options with contacts and what the pros and cons of each type and brand were. Personally, I really appreciate a doctor who takes the time to explain what's going on and they're surprisingly hard to find. read more

I recently moved to West Hartford and was shopping at TJ Maxx and noticed a woman with a fabulous pair of eyeglasses...tortoise! I commented on how I just loved them and I asked where she got them..and it was Sight. I made an appointment and bought a gorgeous pair of Tortoise eyeglasses by Salt. They are everything I wanted and get compliments on they all the time. But the best is how well I can see ..wearing bifocals for years many times they fall short for close up but they not only look fabulous but I can see out of them better than I have ever for years. But they are VERY expensive costing $1K and no insurance. So needless to say I have to be very careful with them all the time since I have lost countless pairs of glasses in the past. I will go back but I will go through my insurance and bring my big purse. read more

Dr Melissa Lambright was recommended to me by my daughter who foundf her to be extremely thorough and competent. My own experience with Dr Lambright and her staff went beyond that. She spent time to explain every aspect of my eye health, choice of treatments and prognosis. Despite the unhurried atmosphere in the office, the staff manages to keep the appointment schedule with minimal waiting.....a rare but much appreciated experience in a doctor's office! read more

Dr.Melissa Lambright is extremely thorough, her staff exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly.
