Bought my glasses here over 6 months ago and suddenly my top right lens developed a defect. Went in and they agreed to cover it free of charge one time, I was reasonably hopeful that this would solve the problem. This time the defect appeared within 30 days and I went in and they said they would cut new lenses fully covered under the 30 day warranty. Got a text and went in expecting new lenses but they replaced the whole frame as well because they said the frame may be defective. These are Versace frames so they are not cheap, I was really floored. Well, that's really going above and beyond and while I have no idea if this will happen again (if so I'm told the prescription might just be incompatible with the frames) they have demonstrated superior customer service thus far. read more

My appointment was scheduled for 11am. I arrived 5 mins early. Exam began approximately 10mins later. Exam lasted 10 mins. Waited over an additional hour for staff to troubleshoot a simple computer issue related to attachments that needed to be sent to the dr. Staff are kind and knowledgeable, and went above and beyond. The location always has a great selection of frames, is very well lit inside with lots of mirrors and open space. They are very friendly here and will help you out. They've been patient even if you come with a lot of questions, you won't feel rushed. The frames they will change/fix within 30 days if there's a problem. They also offer warranties if you're interested. So far I have not had issues with my glasses. UPDATE: I used the link in the response by owner below and still have not been contacted (over a week later) Go anywhere else! Do not go here unless your insurance gives you free lenses every year. Incredibly disappointing experience. The "important" Anti reflective coating wears off within 6 months from normal wear. I'm an office worker, I use a high quality anti static cloth to clean my glasses. I don't use paper towels or my shirt. I don't work outdoors or on the beach. My frames are in immaculate condition and I've had the frames for almost two years. I had the lenses replaced at the 11 month mark under my 1year warranty. I asked the employee "is this normal? To have the coating come off?" His answer was "No, not at all. It should last a long time. How do you clean them? You should use this spray bottle and wipes that we sell." I replied that I was a photographer for many years and have very high quality lens cloths that never took the coating off of those lenses. Also I don't carry a purse or a briefcase in which to carry a spray bottle for my glasses. *Lenses replaced for free under warranty. Only cost was my time. Fast forward to now. 9 months later. THE SAME THING HAPPENS! I spoke to Heather in Newington who just blamed me for "not cleaning them while they are wet" I asked if the life of my 380$ glasses is only 1 year? She continued to blame me and say that it was MY fault for not cleaning them wet. I decided to go into the store so they could see the glasses. I saw a younger guy working there and he addressed my situation and started in with the "cleaning them wet" argument but agreed that it was pretty bad for less than a year and asked me to wait while he went to speak with the manager. Instead of speaking with me I heard Heather tell him "I already told him over the phone to call customer support line if he wants help" I called the customer support line who also said to "clean them wet" but gave me a link to a website to contact the regional manager. I'm still waiting on a response. To sum this up. I've had glasses for years. This is my first experience with LensCrafters. I have NEVER had this issue with any other glasses or lenses. I've use online retailers, small mom and pop shops and even Walmart. They are all far better than LensCrafters. This is my first review on yelp and I'm going to continue to review on all the other social media sites. I now also have to do a bunch of good reviews for places I like because I'm not a negative person. I just feel taken advantage of. 350$ glasses should last longer than a year. There are several lenscrafters miles closer to my home but I prefer this one...let me tell you why. It's never really busy, there's always someone to help you (or leave you be while you stare at yourself trying on frames) and they're just really nice. My last 4 pairs of glasses came from this Lenscrafters. Also, I have a tiny head and have had to buy kids frames, for the most part. Lenscrafters has cool, stylish kids frames (and they're all not purple, Harry Potter-style or weird looking). I have two pairs of Ralph Lauren glasses (Rx and Rx sunglasses) and they were SUPER CHEAP. Not online-cheap, but in-store cheap. Both frames were under $99. The one downside is that I'm pretty sure they're closed on Sundays...I can live with that, since everything else is pretty decent there. read more

Friendly helpful staff, great selection, they can make glasses in an hour. HOWEVER, I could have either received a AAA 30% off frame discount OR their 40% of lenses special. The cheapest deal came to $383 for glasses. Before taxes. And a warranty would have been extra. and this was only with the standard glare protection, not the "premium." If I had chosen a "clearance" pair, it would still be $290, at least. My prescription is very "regular." I wasnt getting bi or trifocals, nothing fancy. I'm not sure how they stay in business. *The doctor is not part of LensCrafters. I'll write a separate review for them. read more

It was a pleasure of going to this location for my glasses at Dr. Jenkins at LensCrafters. I chose my own frame and the assistant Elena help me on the cost of the subscription glass, which she was really helpful and kind. From the cost with insurance it came out a good price. Really helpful, they text you and email before the appointment and you can always reschedule with no hassle. Place is quiet and there is no rush. I went to this office last year and there were different workers but now there are new workers and they way better then the one from last year. Hope they stay there forever. I recommend to office! Hidden fees upon hidden fees upon hidden fees. DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN EYE EXAM. I walked in for a scheduled appointment with my insurance card expecting a $35 co-pay, which is typical. I walked out after a typical exam, and $155 out of my pocket. I wasn't told of any of the fees outside of the copay, or else I would have turned around and walked away. I have always gone to the LensCrafters at the Buckland Hills Mall, even living in Cromwell. Then i realized that there was a LensCrafters on the Berlin Turnpike! Im pretty loyal, but decided to give them a shot. I was completely satisfied from start to finish and what a selection. Glasses were completed within a few hours and they sent a text to alert me. Okay, eyes are my phobia. Eyeballs, things touching my eyes, photos of eyes, all of it. Terrifying. With that being said, I knew my vision has been off recently and was putting off going anywhere. What a pleasurable experience I had. Not only did they fit me in an hour after calling, during a snow storm, They talked me through everything and were very helpful.
