I am not someone who ever writes reviews and I am an incredibly kind and patient person. But today, I made an account just so I could warn people about this place.
They may be nice to you at first, but if you return or are dissatisfied for any reason (even if it's their fault), get ready for their demeanor towards you to change.
Eye exam was great. I really did like Dr. Wehrenberg. Chantelle was nice and very helpful. As was the manager Brian. We finished and left and came back to pick up my prescription sunglasses and glasses when they came in.
Neither the glasses nor sunglasses were correct. My astigmatism was way off center. So I decided to return the glasses after waiting weeks for them to be shipped off and corrected. Let's just say, you could tell Brian was displeased. Now I am a working woman and I have worked many sales jobs. I understand how annoying that can be, but that's not my problem. The glasses should have been correct, and then maybe I wouldn't have got buyers remorse and returned them.
Getting the glasses when we moved to Kentucky was a mess, but that was not their fault. It was the receiving stores' mistake. When my "corrected" sunglasses got in, they were wrong. I kept the sunglasses despite them being wrong the second time, and just changed out the prescription lenses with the non prescription lenses they came with. I just let it go.
Now I had two sets of contacts prescribed to me to see which I preferred. In the move, we lost them. So I called the office and got a speedy response from the doctor himself. He talked about how he sent a check due to insurance covering parts I paid for and I appreciated the honesty. The check was sent to my parents address and they sent it to me the next day. Attached was a post it note repeating what he had said about insurance and how they gave me a $210 allowance towards contacts.
So on the phone I told him about me losing my contacts in the move and he said he would send me a new pair and deduct it from the allowance. I received the contacts at my house in Kentucky and tried to call to order the ones I liked. Brian answered and I told him to have the doctor call me because I wanted to order contacts. He said okay and that was it. That was a Thursday afternoon.
Monday came around so I called again being polite and asked for the doctor to order contacts. This time it was Chantelle who has never been anything but pleasant and professional. She informed me that they take care of ordering contacts, not the doctor. Not what Brian the manager said. She looked up my file and called
me back in a timely fashion and told me my insurance didn't cover it. I told her everything and she said the doctor was out of an appointment in 30 minutes and she would have him call me. Four hours later Brian calls me back and says him and the doctor have no idea what credit or allowance I'm talking about. The doctor couldn't call me back despite being easy to reach when we bought hundreds of dollars in merchandise. Brian asked when my insurance expired and I said the end of May. However, the doctor sent me contacts in June from my "allowance" which no one all of a sudden knows what I'm talking about. Not to mention, Brian talked to me like an idiot, despite me having patience and practicing kindness with their incompetent excuse for an eye doctors office. I went to America's Best Eyeglasses before having eye insurance and going to this store, and they did a phenomenal job - plus their services and products weren't nearly as expensive. Ridiculous.
No organization. No communication. Fueled on just making money off of you. Chantelle, you go girl. You were always kind and professional and communicated the way you were supposed to. As for Brian and the doctor, you're unprofessional and I will tell every single person I know to never give you business. read more
