Rude staff. An older staff member screamed at my 7 year old when he politely asked for the location of the restrooms. He then looked at me and said "what you gonna do about it!" and stormed off. He likely would've responded differently if my son and I were Caucasian. Incredibly despicable behavior that's allowed by management here. Racist store. read more

This Target is clean and organized though it's so large it can be hard to find things. It lacks the variety of other Targets such as the Redwood City one which has fresh, organic produce. The staff were helpful. The reason I'm taking a star off is that their quality control seems bad. I bought some protein shakes and the protein had congealed into chunks. YUCK! It wasn't expired, but it did say to store in a cool, dry place. The protein shake brand had great online reviews, so it's purely specific to their quality control. I will not be buying protein shakes from this Target again. read more

The store was very clean and fully stocked. The sales people I encountered were friendly. Well except for one that was moving some merchandise and couldn't wait for me to pass to come out of the clothing aisles and cut me off. I was like well then. Anyway it's a huge target. The one near my house where I generally go is much smaller. So I was a little overwhelmed, thank god for the target app. I looked up things I was looking for and was able to find the aisles with ease. I didn't realize how large the store was and ended up at the wrong end originally. They also have a CVS inside just to your left when you enter. There is a pizza hut and some other food stuff also over there. If I'm looking for something in particular I will probably come here as the store by my house is much smaller and doesn't carry a lot of the items I found at this one. read more

I usually would never write a review for a target because the majority of targets are all the same. This one however, has a super weird layout. It is also really dimly lit, which makes me feel like im in a walmart. The dim lighting really threw me off and made me want to get out ASAP. But they did have hot ruffles here which i couldnt find in a 30 miles radius so i had to come and satisfy my hot chip addiction. read more

It's Target, but I'd rather go to the one in Sunnyvale. I placed an order for pick up because they had all the items I needed. For the pick up line, I waited about 10-15 mins for my items and I was second in line. It does take awhile here for order pick up. I don't feel that they are very organized with order pick up. It's the second time I've placed an order for pick up at this location. The first time I picked up, we were already in the SIP and they did make me sign on their phone for pickup. I was pretty shock when that was necessary. I mean, it's a Target but I'd rather make a trip to another Target. This one is pretty small, but it does have a pharmacy at this location. read more

This Target is somewhat peculiar. It is a regular, run-of-the-mill Target. It has a large parking lot. It has most of the same store sections as typical Target stores. Yet, this is where it gets somewhat perplexing. The location is great for people living in Palo Alto, Mountain View or Los Altos. It is situated on Showers Dr. across the street from the very busy Wal-Mart. Whereas the Wal-Mart located across the street is crowded from the moment that it opens to the moment that it closes, this Target is virtually empty. I suspect that one of the reasons for this is that this location sells items at a slight Silicon Valley premium. Many items are more expensive here than they are on the official Target website. While the price increase is negligible, it is apparently enough to cause people to choose the messy, cluttered and frustrating Wal-Mart located just across the street. I actually prefer shopping here compared with the Wal-Mart. It isn't nearly as claustrophobic as Wal-Mart. You can actually find employees here and they are (occasionally) helpful. That said: The grocery, pharmacy and personal care sections only offer a limited selection of items. Some of those items aren't stocked on a regular or weekly basis either. VERDICT: I prefer shopping at the large Target on Mathilde in Sunnyvale (despite the greater distance). If I need something quick, I'll visit this one. TIP: If you want to save a little money, buy the items online and select to pick them up in the store. You might save $1-5 on each item. Unfortunately, I've had a few experiences where I purchased something online to be picked up only to find that the item was "no longer in stock." read more

i hate how they never play music here it's so awkward and quiet a bit less stocked/empty in some areas but overall an okay target

**WORST TAR-JAY EVER** One step inside and I knew I should have stepped back out. Dirty floors, bad lighting, and mullets. Had to get some plastic bins, so I held my breath and proceeded to the back of the store. After 20 minutes of walking around (no employees in sight), I found the bins and carried them to the cashier. Cashier hated her life. Well, she looked like she did. Bins or no bins, never again. EW. read more

Adonis is a cashier at Target in Mountain View. I was very impressed by his customer service. My 10 year old son went in to by a toy. He was using his own money that he had saved up. Adonis handled the whole transaction with my son in a professional and respectful manner. He called him "Sir" and really made him feel special. My son really felt he was the one making the purchase. Adonis was patient with him while he counted out his money. Thank you Adonis for helping teach my son how to be a little man and for giving him such a positive experience!!! read more

I was expecting a pretty bad Target ... but this one was not as horrendous as I thought the reviews would dictate. They really cleaned things up around here, and its fairly quiet as far as Targets go. They have a decent selection of random sizes of dresses ... I know this because I literally needed to come here to buy an emergency dress. Don't judge me, it's a thing. Emergency dresses ... are a thing. Either way, the checkout was easy, self check out was fast, and the employees seem eager to help. Can't really ask for much more! read more

Extremely outdated Target that simply feels unpleasant to shop in. I would never go here if I didn't have to. The other Targets in the Bay Area are much nicer. The clientele that are here during the day are weird. read more

The two stars are NOT just for their overpriced lamp selection anymore. The ONE STAR is for the WORST target layout I've ever experienced. I've never been in this Target without having to walk the entire store twice. Even if I ask their salespeople where things are, they don't even know. It's a horrible succubus of a store. And they don't stock Hanukkah candles. Gotta go to Wal-Mart (nooooooooooo!) for that. read more

Two and a half stars? Really? That's pretty harsh. I gave it three, simply because I had absolutely nothing to go on to make it any different than any other Target experience. It was middle-of-the-road in every possible way. Standard size, standard cleanliness, standard selection, and the employees were... "fine"... Not much to say, maybe it's a bad place I caught on an okay day, but it was a really uninteresting Target excursion not worthy of vilification, in my experience. read more

Why do I have a love/hate relationship with this location? It's located right across the street from where I work! When I walk in here, it feels like I'm walking back into time. I get the vibe of an old school store like Woolworth's, Gemco, Service Merchandise, etc. Sorry youngins, I got to relate to with the "Maturer" crowd for a little bit. I've gotten out of binds of forgotten events such as department white elephants and birthdays. Although this store looks out dated, the merchandise is kept up with the times. read more

I think corporate headquarters gave up on this place a long time ago... I have grown comfortable with the remodeled Target's. I was under the impression that all stores had been spiced up with a remodeled grocery and produce section, expanded frozen, and improved store layout. If for some strange reason you're stuck in your old ways and can't stand the newer locations, this place will suit you nicely. If you need a gallon of milk forget about it, refrigerated section is no better than a corner store. If you need a nice shopping cart that has four working wheels, forget about it. If you need some meat to throw on the grill, forget about it. If you need more confusion in your life, come to this location. I had to zig-zag through the store to pick up what little choices were available here. I had to ask twice to locate an item. It's like two stores inside an oddly shaped building. However a helpful manager was nice and attentive. Will I return? I cant think of any good reasons to go back. read more

I was so, so happy to walk in to my local Target and see regular sized models in the advertising and mannequins. Seeing a sexy, full figured beautiful woman in a bikini, happy, healthy. It was a revelation for me. What took so long? It has taken me a lifetime to unravel body issues, and I am so glad my daughter will have an easier time not just accepting, but celebrating her beauty whatever form it takes. Our culture is finally embracing female beauty in all it's gorgeous dimensionality. Also, hats off to Target staff. It's not an easy job, tough to make it in the pricey Bay Area in retail, and God bless them I meet the nicest, most interesting people who work there. Sergei made my day the other day, hearing about how he has found happiness in his life, without a cell phone, two blocks away, a super simple life where he has lots of free time. He is a happy genius in a red vest stocking the shelves at Target. It is the smallest, and most run down in the area. But, Target is a happy place for me, I am so glad to have it close by and I think they are doing so many things right. Yay, Target! read more

Literally across the street from Walmart. This is a very dark Target. If you are from San Jose and used to getting light/basic groceries then do not come here because this place has 2 aisles of an extreme limited of groceries. Lines do move quick but other than the reason I had to make 2 Target trips in a single day was to buy a Leap Pad for my Mustard (Daughter). FYI- Target cannot hold any item(s). I pretty much sped like a speed demon to get here since this was the only Target around that had Leap Pads in stock. Kids are so expensive! read more

I found everything I was looking for and a cute top but the store was gross and the employees weren't the bubbliest to say the least.

Yes a target within 5 blocks of me. Love it! Large parking lot and clean store. I'm always able to get everything I need here. But is it me or does this place seem rather empty? The ladies at the checkout register are super nice to me and like to make small talk. read more

Had to update my review. This target seems to be getting their shhh together. My wife likes to shop aaallll the time and get deals and coupon. Its difficult at some targets to get help when things go wrong. But this target has been very patient and helpful more than before. The manager Anthony is very attentive and I see him helping out his employees in every department of the store and is very involved with his employees which leads to a great work environment for his employees and a great shopping environment for their customers. Also they still have the big rice crispy treats at the court but no Starbucks. All good to me. read more

I am surprised to see so many low and negative reviews for this Target (At the time of this review) because I love shopping at Target! While I was on vacation, I stopped by this Target to purchase a few things that I had forgotten to pack. I had no problem finding the items I was coming in here for and also took some time to browse through the clothes since I was here. I didn't have to wait a long time to pay for my items and was in and out of the store in a quick time. Overall, had a good shopping experience and wouldn't mind coming back here again if I needed to purchase things the next time I come visit the area. By the way, plenty of parking in lot and the aisles were clean and adequately stocked. read more

You can always count on Target to have your back when you need it. And to be fair, knowing that the store remains open till 12 AM is a helps a lot. I went there recently with a long list to cover for a party I was planning. Prices were quite reasonable, there were a large selection of products to choose from and the employees were pleasant. One of them even offered to help me take my cart to the cashing point as I had some run-away marshmallows! You had to be there for it, the employee thought it was hilarious! I like that the staff is approachable, it made what would be a difficult situation into one I would definitely remember for future events. And finally, if you go to Target often you should get their credit card. It has no yearly fee and you get 5% off every time you pay with the card. It's a no-brainer! read more

this is the small cafe at the front of the target store in mountain view. this is very convenient for grabbing something on the go, like personal size pizzas or hot dogs or pretzels or a bag of chips. they also have some healthier items like chicken pita sandwiches, chicken noodle soup, and tomato soup. prices are very low, in fact, i didn't see anything on the menu over $5. i had a serving of stuffed bread rolls with pesto chicken (3 pieces) and a bowl of tomato soup for lunch. the bread rolls were small, but tasty, although i had a hard time finding the chicken. the tomato soup was kinda chunky, not very smooth in texture, as i've come to expect from a standard tomato soup. but it was served hot and tasty. there is an average size seating area for customers who wish to consume their food on the premises. for the price you pay, it's pretty good, and i definitely appreciate the convenience of having something onsite while i shop. read more

Very spacious. Very, very spacious. I've only went to this Target once, but I would definitely come back if I'm in the area. This Target seems to have pretty much everything that other Targets have with a lot more room to maneuver around in. They also have the snack bar area that other Targets have and there's a bunch of tables for that. Bathrooms are located towards the left side of the Target from the doors. Head towards the beauty supplies and you should see a sign for the restrooms! I've read some complaints about customer service and I have to say... it's pretty nonexistent here. BUT. My aunt wanted to buy an umbrella and the one she wanted only had one hanging so she took it. Later we ran into a worker wheeling unopened umbrellas toward us and she was nice enough to stop and let us get a new umbrella. She even wished us a good night so what up. :) And this Target has a large selection of dry shampoo. That might not mean anything, but the Target near my house doesn't have a variety of dry shampoo so this was a nice surprise. Big parking lot so parking isn't a pain in the butt or anything. read more

This is a smaller Target than the one in Sunnyvale, which is the one I preferred, so selections are limited. The toy section is pretty small and isn't the best. Amazon tends to have the best deal for most toys. They do have the shop online and pick up in store option which is great for those in a hurry unless the line is long. read more

Target in general is a great Mecca if you're in the mood to shell out some cash and accumulate more mass of stuff you don't need! This Target could use a remodeling to make it feel more modern and fresh, compared to other sister stores. It's got an old school vibe about it. It's also right across from Walmart if you're willing to endure the heavy traffic and bear the crowds to save a couple cents off your favorite national branded products. I wish the grocery selection was wider! Consumers love choice! But this grocery selection is bare bones so don't come here expecting the more expansive grocery offerings you're used to. read more

I seriously hate this target. The parking sucks and the workers here hate their life. Going into this target is also depressing. Like do you even care to upgrade? This target looks like its been going through some hard times. At this target, I can never find anything and the workers aren't much help either. I asked an employee do you know where something was and he said "uhhh sorry no I don't..." and walked away...... HE WALKED AWAY. like didn't even think to offer to help in any way. RUDE much? Even though I live 8 mins away, I rather just drive to the Sunnyvale one. read more

I had the most abusive aggressive cashier of all time. She was trying to sign me up for a target card and I told her no repeatedly and wouldn't stop asking me. It was the most aggressive disrespectful experience I've ever had from a cashier. Then she proceeded to roll her eyes at me when I told I didn't need after the 12th time. I hope someone can have a talk with her because the actually ruined my day and scared me. She's young, brown curly hair, and was wearing red lipstick. read more

All my female friends say that they can get lost for hours in Target. It's like treasure hunting or something. As a guy I want to be in and out as fast as possible snd generally on the weekend, it's not going to happen here. Not as bad as say Wal Mart or Fry's but still it can be gruelling at times. However I can't deny the availability of many of your everyday and household needs. read more

Target is great! This is probably the most pleasant, discount retailer experience you will ever get (especially compared to the W store across the street). There is plenty of parking, wide parking aisles, and plenty of room in the store. Merchandise is nice organized, and there is a fairly good selection of stuff. Checkout lines are well-staffed, and lines are rarely more than 2 - 3 people deep. Service isn't out of the ordinary, but at least you can find staff around the floor and the place is clean. read more

Not much to write home about with this place. It hasn't been remodeled, and seems a little ho-hum for a business competing with a huge adjacent mall. Nonetheless, you'll find what you need here, which for me is three $1 bags of animal crackers and some cheap slacks ($6 on clearance!) for job interviews. That's right, I'm a high-roller. My unconditional love of Target was hardly swayed by this location, and if I were back in the area, I would gladly return. read more

We had a terrible experience at target today (8/28, about 11am) - the cashier was not able to take our method of payment due to POS system limitations and later seemed to agree with a nationalistic remark. While we were trying to figure out a solution (and the cashier Anna at the front could be more helpful btw) another customer who was behind us in line started making derogatory and hateful remarks along the lines of "if you don't have the money don't come to this store", "they are Russian so they must be talking shit","he is a bullshitter", "you dont own the world" etc despite us offering to let them go in front of us in line. While this is upsetting, the reason for the review is attitude of cashier Anna from the front - who seemed to know this person and started agreeing with some of these remarks, and John (the team lead) who refused to help with POS payment methods, ignored the conflict while standing at a distance and let it escalate. His method of conflict resolution was to ignore it and offered us to fill out a survey later. It looks like several Target employees at this store support nationalistic hate against Russian people. read more

This target has the best customer service. Every time I go to this store I have questions about some items. I personally don't see why this Target's ratings are lower than most. But all the better- if there are fewer shoppers here due to the location's lower Yelp rating, all the more parking that's available to those who are unphased by the poor Yelp reviews. ;) Things were a little picked over in the Dollar Spot section, which is to be expected because it was towards the end of a 3-day-weekend. They had everything in stock that I needed. The reason I don't give 5 stars: the layout of the place doesn't really make sense. For example, you need to walk clear across the store from the bath towels to find the shower caddies. The cashier who checked me out was very nice and agreed it made sense to put all the smaller items I had bought in the trash cans I was buying. :) read more
