Look out, even though it doesn't say it in Google maps, Apple Maps, etc, they don't actually open until 9 am, not 8!

Target is my favorite store the have so much of a variety. I always shop in the clearance section for stocking stuffers around Christmas!

On April 3rd 2022 we purchased the James Power Recliner sofa and loveseat in cloth material, plus…read morethe 5 year protection plan. The EasyCare Protection Plan covers the quality and materials of the furniture which states under Service Procedures: SCS may replace all part of the affected area, component, or piece of furniture. Upon delivery of the furniture on 7/11/2022 the company arrived with only the loveseat and no sofa, I refused delivery without having the full order as the paperwork provide by the delivery driver stated no the pieces. I then contacted the store to resolve this issue and on 7/27/2022 both pieces sofa and loveseat where delivered. After delivery we then utilized the furniture and found that it was shorter height in the base of the seat than what was on display at the store, the quality of the materials: exterior and interior where not holding up and not comfortable after sitting on both the loveseat and sofa. On 8/11/2022 we then went back to the store to address these issues with with the store manager to come to some resolution for a return. We provided the store manager of the Killdeer located La-z-boy store with all our paperwork and pictures of the furniture defects. He was not willing to help us to resolve and provided us with a number to contact at La-z-boy comfort care. I then contacted them on 8/12/2022 to provide documentation to resolve and was given ticket # 803-2324077. We were given an ETA on a service technician to come out but not until 9/7/2022. The technician reported that the conditions of both the loveseat and sofa were not meeting the standard of the expected quality. He filed a report and took picture of the furniture & told we would hear from the company by 9/9/2022. As of today I have not hear back from anyone and have no resolution in regards to this issue.

We were fine with that, went back in March purchased a recliner again were told wouldn't get till September we were ok with that. Trouble started today 8/12 when we received text vouch was ready for delivery, my wife contacted store to set up delivery, they requested balance owed on couch no problem until they applied to wrong item and couldn't fix their mistake, 3 hours and they kept demanding we use a second credit card to make payment because first card was frozen because they did not void transaction but did something where funds would not be available for 3 to 5 days. Called corporate no help. Needless to say never recommending or buying lazy boy ever.

10/1/21 Came in to…read morewander a bit. I am looking for a couch and one on the WES site struck my fancy. I'd never been in a Walter E. Smithe before, and the woman who helped explained their setup. They have green stickers on some items, and those items are part of their stock program. Those items are quickly manufactured with little to no customization (they might offer it in a couple different colors from which you can choose). The other items, which I believe have a red sticker, are items that you can put your own spin on. They had some great items from both the stock and custom group; far too many things caught my eye! They're requiring masks of everyone, of course, since we're still deep in the midst of a pandemic. Although the woman who helped me couldn't seem to pinch her mask to her nose to keep it in place; it constantly was falling below her nose. They do have hand sanitizer right at the entrance, and they had masks laid out for customers to use if they came in without them. I'll be back to eventually place an order, and hopefully will remember to post an update!

I wanted to share my experience donating to House of Hope so others know what to expect…read more I called ahead because I had a large amount of sewing and embroidery items to donate. I was honest that everything was in decent condition--not perfect, but still usable. I was told I could bring everything in. When I arrived and opened my trunk, the gentleman helping immediately made a snide comment: "You know we're not a refuge place, we're a thrift store." That was surprising and honestly off-putting, especially since I had already explained everything over the phone. I asked for a manager, and they pointed out that one of my sewing bags had dust on it and said they couldn't accept it in that condition. I understand having standards, but this felt excessive for donated goods. I guess if you had a Birkin bag but it had a little dust on it or wasn't in perfect condition, they wouldn't take that either. It left me wondering--are you a resale shop or a retail store? If the expectation is that everything must be near-perfect, that should be clearly communicated upfront. Otherwise, it feels unreasonable for a donation-based operation. I mean House of Hope is getting this stuff for FREE. I respect that they have policies and that the organization is volunteer-run, but the overall interaction came across as dismissive and overly picky. If I had known the expectations were this strict, I would have saved myself the trip and sold the items myself or donated elsewhere. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning to donate here.
