I called back the general line he provided for the store the same day at 7pm, and they told me to call back tomorrow to speak with him after 9am. I called twice, once at 2pm and TEN TIMES at 4pm. I was hung up on twice and none of the departments answered. I can't imagine what this would be like for a customer. That night at 7pm I walked into the store and asked to speak with a manager and the manager wrote my name and phone number down and it has been a week and still no call. Do not call someone at a time they are unavailable and ignore their calls when they try calling back !! do not apply !!! read more

Worst phone service of any retailer in the area. I ordered & paid for products via the Target Circle App. I called to confirm availability for pickup. After 10 minutes of calling - 3 calls of at least ten rings each - no an answer. 4th try & someone answered. The audio was so full of noise that it was impossible to communicate. I told them that the phone was breaking up and making it impossible to understand what they were saying. In the background, someone was laughing, and I heard him say "Just ask him if he doesn't speak English and then say something in Spanish." Not funny. I can only imagine that there are employees working on things in various departments with phones that barely function. And that's not their fault. But there's no excuse for a store this large to have no one answering the phone and guest services when they're pushing people to order for pick up in store or delivery to their car. read more

This is the closest Target and I've found the people here to be kind and considerate. Especially with the pandemic, I do a lot of Target Drive Up and the people are awesome. Within the last week: I placed an order to pickup on my way home from work, and arrived earlier than I thought I would. Since it wasn't ready, I parked and waited - the staff noticed me waiting and came to check on me and make sure everything was OK! It was as incredibly thoughtful. Tonight, I did a Pick Up on the way home and got stuck on this sign thing. I pulled to the back of the parking lot, and waited for a friend to come help. A young employee noticed, and came to let me know that I was trapped on something and to see if I needed help. Even though I said that I help was coming, he still double - checked. I thought it was incredibly thoughtful, especially since it was cold and he was definitely not dressed for prolonged outside activity. Thanks Target guy! read more

This location is very weird. One on hand they're well stocked with the items I need, but on the other hand their service is peculiar compared to other locations. The employees will side eye you if you're not white, but become friendly with you when you're all paid up at check out. Both the employees and customers here have defensive if not distasteful attitudes and I've never experienced this at any other Target location in the Chicagoland area... I'd recommend visiting any other Target if possible. read more

Went in the Target in Lake Zurich for a pair of men's boots. Looking all over and I couldn't find them. Finally found an employee, she said they were just on the other side of a wall when you walk into the main entrance. Turns out that was the women's and children's shoes. Finally found the men's shoes. What a joke. It was a shelf that was about 5 feet wide and 6 feet tall with about 20 pairs of shoes and boots on it. What a waste of time. It looks like this store doesn't get a lot of business so there are no employees anywhere to help. I will avoid this place unless I really have to go there for a rush item and can't get anywhere else. read more

This store has the most amazing personnel. Particularly in their Manager, Peter. I was having a very bad experience with the ATT folks in their store and Peter was the most helpful, compassionate person you could ever ask for. He made numerous calls to ATT on my behalf and argued with them for close to an hour trying to get resolution. While on hold, he offered me a chair and water. AMAZING customer experience! A few ago I was very disappointed with this store and vowed not to return. I gave it a try last week and was a bit surprised. The attitude has changed and the employees couldn't have been better. Stock was never an issue and it remains their strong position. The parking is very good and the store was easy to navigate and very clean. I'll be back. Ordered an end table for pick up this morning. Hopped in the car and headed that way. Arrived a bit early, prior to the two hour window and both manager and girl behind counter wouldn't process the purchase. This is even after my husband went to the shelf and picked it up to expedite the process. I'm nine months pregnant and this is the very last item to complete the nursery... Forgot to mention I'd ordered this to be shipped originally and it showed up damaged, packaged like a five year olds tape and cardboard fort. 20 minutes past the window and now the store is saying this is no longer available for pick up. Clearly an intentional oversight by manager at this point. Which is just fine bc I wasn't planning on going back there. Having the item shipped. Customer service at its finest! read more

She immediately turned towards the other cashier after handing me my receipt. I think she wanted to talk to them some more. I had a bad experience at this location specifically with an employee wearing a red Michael Jordan hoodie. He was stocking water and other beverages. This employee seemed annoyed almost angry at me because I was in the store shopping during regular business hours while he was filling the shelves. He acted as if I was in his way. If I could give this review a negative I would as you can see from the majority of my reviews I try to be as honest and forthcoming as I can I was just at the local target in Lake Zürich looking for a Hanukkah present for my son he found the item that he was looking for and they were plenty on the shelf upon checking out they scanned the item and they were told they could not sell the item until December 4 when we went back to the aisle with the manager in employee said they've been selling them all day as well as all day yesterday yet when I told the manager I would be happy to pay The price of the toy via credit card or cash I was told that they made a mistake and that they cannot sell the item. I understand mistakes but when you're selling the item all day and then I am told on the day of Hanukkah that I cannot purchase a toy for my son it's just absolute incompetence that something like that would happen. So you're telling me that a place exists that has prices similar to Wal-Mart but with out the people who look like they were just on an episode of Jerry Springer. Sounds good to me. The parking lot here can be a little bit of a hassle & you might have to park far but they do have a very large parking lot. While this Target is very big it is not one of the super Target's. However a lot of the reviews are saying that this place is outdated & needs a remodel but I don't think that this Target is that outdated. To me this Target looks like a lot of the other ones. The staff here is friendly & they seem to want to help you if you need it unlike the Wal-Mart across the street. This Target does carry some frozen foods & groceries but it is not as up to date in this department as some of the other ones. Just like all of the other Target's the prices are very fair & they do have a good selections of products. Another plus about this location is that they always have a lot of check out lanes open & available. The check out process is usually fairly quick here even with a full cart. Overall this Target is not the biggest or fanciest but it gets the job done & is well worth the trip. I would visit here again if I was in the area. read more

I went to target this afternoon on lunch. My co worker and I first walked in and had a nice genuine conversation with the beautiful girl at Starbucks. She was very knowledgeable and patient with the elderly in front of us. We were then walking down the aisle by the furniture department and there were these two employees (blonde and brunette). They had went out of their way to decorate a display table just because it made the section more friendly. Lastly, we were checking out with Dillion. He was instantly welcoming and you can tell he loved his job! He had a funny sense of humor that made us wake up a little in our afternoon crash, before heading back to work. Overall, this target has amazing, hardworking employees that are clearly being treated right! Keep it up Target! read more

I only go to this location because it's on the way home from work, if it wasn't I would avoid it entirely. Not only is it tiny for a Target but most of the staff should not be in retail. They have a floor supervisor that basically ignores you, if she knows how to smile, I have never seen it. What I dislike the most about this place is that the supervisors are constantly asking the cashiers how many redcards they were able to get, over the walkie talkie and during my checkout. Can they really not see how uncomfortable this makes the customer? Personally, it makes me feel less like a guest and more like I am merely a dollar sign. Especially after being ignored. I've also walked past as a manager was having a team meeting around goals in the middle of the sales floor. As a retail store manager myself, I understand the importance of these pow wows but there is a time and a place for everything. I don't see any focus on the customer. Based on my experiences, the focus is all on corporate compliance. They do have a Starbucks inside although, I'm still trying to figure out when it's open because it never has been when I've been there. read more

When I was charged double for an item priced on sale, I was referred to the service desk. They did in fact process the credit, but when I pointed out that probably 9 out of 10 customers would unwittingly have walked out paying $12 more than the shelf price, the clerk's explanation was "Everybody makes mistakes." I did grumble something about the service at this Target getting worse. Her response "That's one person's opinion." And I'm not happy about my response, which was, "I'm changing my 2-star Yelp review to 1-star. Her response? "That's fine." Cart rolls into parked car, puts noticeable dent in side. Lady (apparently a good and honest woman) decides to wait for the owner to show up so she can exchange information. I go to the service desk and ask that they page the owner so s/he can get to the dented cars, relieving Lady of a long wait with young child in car. After some stumbling, manager is located, but quotes store policy against using the intercom for something other than (I can only assume) stock checks or calls to staff a register. I am told that an incident report can be filled out. I explain that there is a woman with small child waiting for the car owner, and an incident report hardly seems the most efficient method of dealing with the situation right there, that moment. A simple page would do that. Apparently, however, it does not conform to policy, and despite the fact that it would assist two customers (they call them guests!), he wouldn't, couldn't, or perhaps didn't feel confident enough in his own ability and authority to make a common sense decision ... something that would be both simple and of benefit to his customers. It is also my experience that there is a kind of disconnect between pharmacy and OTC pharmaceutical items. At times the people behind the counter have little idea of what is stocked on the other far side of their domain, and may not even be even slightly familiar with some of the common OTC items there. This is the only Target in the area so naturally it is the go to spot for every family within a 10 mile radius. This makes it difficult to find a lot of items in stock as the store is constantly being picked through. If they could keep up then this location would be 4.5 stars. This particular trip i went to price match something from the Target website and although the Target website was sold out, they allowed me to price match and buy in store which was so convenient and hassle free. Geez this Target is getting a bad rap. I like to stop here after work because it is convenient. This is just a regular Target not a Super Target or anything, but they still have a small grocery section and all the regular trappings of Target. I don't do my regular grocery shopping at Target anyways so I don't miss anything in the grocery section. This location also has a Starbucks inside. I do find the set-up at this Target to be a little strange. The different sections aren't always where I expect them to be but I've gotten used to it. I haven't had much interaction with the staff here but everything seems normal. I still get sucked down the Target wormhole at this store and spend at least $50 when I only came in for a bottle of shampoo. That's my own fault though. read more

This has been one of the hardest things about moving up here...right by my former home we had a big, brand new, sparkling Super Target. This one here is far from it....seriously, I cannot find more than 4 flavors of basic Yoplait yogurt, half of at least a few aisles are always picked over, and I cannot find half of the basic baking ingredients I am looking for. I was so excited when they renovated, but all they did was slap some pretty "wood" on the facade. Add to that the horrible slope in the parking lot that makes your cart roll away all the time and I hate going here. Upgrade and bring us a Super Target. Please. read more

I don't understand the low reviews for this place. With all the reviews saying it was outdated, I was expecting a tiny, run-down target with limited options looking like it was left off the list for Target remodels. But upon arriving, it was just like any other Target that we have back here in California (I was visiting my sister who lives in Barrington). I guess there are plenty "super-targets" in the Chicagoland area that this doesn't quite stack up against? This Target had everything we were looking for and we were furnishing my sisters 1 bedroom apartment. They had a Starbucks inside, a small grocery section, and a large selection of everything we needed for the apartment. It didn't feel outdated at all. We have a LOT of outdated Targets in California and this one actually seemed like it was remodeled recently. Ever since the remodel of the LZ store, there are a few things that I have noticed. I kind of miss the old target. 1. The womens bathroom has 1 very small garbage can (there used to be 2 large cans) is always overflowing, and this results in "always" having paper hand towels all over the floor. Bathroom cleanliness just isn't there. 2). The parking has become a challenge and at night some of the aisle's are dark especially on the side of the store. 3). Employees are great! read more

I have pretty much had a good experience at this store. It is not a Super Target, but I don't do most of my grocery shopping here anyway. That being said, I did find Frontera taco sauces I couldn't find at my local grocery store. I shop primarily for non-food items, and although occasionally, they may not have exactly what I want, I can find something that works. I recently used the shop online, pick-up store option and that was a GREAT experience. I was shopping for toiletries for our guest bathroom, and I browsed and researched online, ordered and picked up a day or two later. Loved that, what a timesaver; It saved a lot of aisle wandering. The employees I have met have all been great. One time a couple of years ago, I was looking for something in a toddler size and it wasn't available in the size I needed. An employee was unpacking an enormous box of clothes, and she heard me say to the friend I was with, that unfortunately the size I needed was gone. She stopped what she was doing, and immediately offered to look in back, which she did, and brought the item to me. I didn't even directly ask her for help. She just overheard my comment, and approached me! Yesterday I had the happiest young woman for check-out, and I left feeling happier! With supply chains interrupted, and sometimes things in short supply, including employees in a lot of businesses, I think the Lake Zurich Target is decent, and I have absolutely no problem shopping here. I feel customers need to up their game too. It's been a tough year, be polite, be patient, be understanding, be grateful! If you're shopping for specialty items, then maybe choose another store. Quite frankly, when I'm not pressed for time, a trip to Target is a great time. read more

I try to shop at that store but my experience was always bad. Whenever I try to use a coupon the cashier never except the coupon.I usually go to another store and have no problem redeeming the coupon.The cashiers are so rude and just say this coupon doesn't work .My last visit none of my coupons were redeemed and I put everything back took my coupons and used them at a different store.Never going there again even thou I shopped there very often:(I would stay away from this Target read more

This is a Target so old and outdated that it's neither a SuperTarget nor Target Greatland (at the very least, it's not advertised as such), but it gets the job done in a pinch. We've stopped here many a time on the way to a house party to pick up some snacks or a last minute gift; however, there isn't much in the way of groceries, which means we sometimes have to make another stop elsewhere. read more

The layout of this Target is odd. Perhaps because it's very long and only has one entrance. With that being said, the store is kept in good order and I was able to get what I needed. The customer service used to be great in this store. Now, not so much; as a matter of fact, it is a shell of its former self. New management is palpable and alas it is NOT customer focused. Merchandise highlighted in sales circular runs out on the first day. Management seems to have an attitude of : "Too bad, stinks for you, customer." No real effort to problem solve or provide customer service. After coming here for 12 years, the Target in Buffalo Grove beckons with more merchandise as a result of better management, and reps who are responsive to customers. This is the worst target store ever!!!!! I'd like to share a story and you can tell me how you think of it. I went with my husband the day after black Friday for an iPad air 2 because I have the red card(yes I am a loyal customer until today) and they offered a $150 gift card with the purchase. The ran out of gold and promised that we can exchange after Dec 1st when next shipment is expected. This gentleman was supper nice calling neighboring store but other were out too. He even wrote on my receipt per our request so we can easily exchange for different color, without any issue. So far so good, and this is the Target we knew. So my husband called the store on the 1st checking for the gold color and to our disappoint that they haven't had it in and asked us to call back next day which is today. The store manager was still very professional and friendly. Late last night I saw the inventory is back at the lake Zurich store and asked my husband to check it today. So on a call to the store before he headed in he talked to a lady called Emily who claimed they are no longer replenish the iPad air 2 as it is discontinued and told him they won't exchange. Found the response really strange my husband went to the store. A 'manager' called Chris with an attitude said the same thing that they can't exchange (despite the black and white on the receipt)! He said we can't point out who promised us for exchange, and even threatened to call police if my husband won't leave the store! WHAT A LAUGHABLE IDEA!! When the real manager finally came out after him repeatedly asked for, and she basically told him the same story. Asked him to either keep it or to return it within 30 days or the return window ran out after 30 days and we would have to keep it. Only after my husband said to tweet our his experience she then said okay if they have it we can exchange. As I am writing this feedback I am amazed by how few employees can easily destroy the images a mega store built so hard over last decade by treating customers the way they did today! Is it a part of the culture that tolerates bad behaviors? Not honoring a store's promise that too is puzzling me for trust is the back bone of every company, especially a retailer who went through a major data breach and is doing everything they can to rebuild the trust with their customers ... read more
