Service, selection and value are top notch! As first timers, Diane made us feel so welcome. We made a friend and will definitely return.

Great items and even better prices! I picked up so many little gems, from a butter bell to an $8 one of a kind mirror. Love it here!

I wanted to share my experience donating to House of Hope so others know what to expect…read more I called ahead because I had a large amount of sewing and embroidery items to donate. I was honest that everything was in decent condition--not perfect, but still usable. I was told I could bring everything in. When I arrived and opened my trunk, the gentleman helping immediately made a snide comment: "You know we're not a refuge place, we're a thrift store." That was surprising and honestly off-putting, especially since I had already explained everything over the phone. I asked for a manager, and they pointed out that one of my sewing bags had dust on it and said they couldn't accept it in that condition. I understand having standards, but this felt excessive for donated goods. I guess if you had a Birkin bag but it had a little dust on it or wasn't in perfect condition, they wouldn't take that either. It left me wondering--are you a resale shop or a retail store? If the expectation is that everything must be near-perfect, that should be clearly communicated upfront. Otherwise, it feels unreasonable for a donation-based operation. I mean House of Hope is getting this stuff for FREE. I respect that they have policies and that the organization is volunteer-run, but the overall interaction came across as dismissive and overly picky. If I had known the expectations were this strict, I would have saved myself the trip and sold the items myself or donated elsewhere. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning to donate here.

I went into Annie's Resale for the World yesterday not knowing anything more than they were a resale shop. It turns out that their profits go to several charities around the globe educating children, providing food, shelter and emergency relief to families, and strengthening local churches and community programs. A section in the shop is dedicated to photos, books & explanations of the various causes they are supporting. I walked in and Annie greeted me instantly. She was so warm & kind to me and everyone that came through. One gentlemen came in wanting to do consignment and although they don't do that, she was so helpful to him in directing him to another spot. She let me pick a coupon out of a bowl and I got 20% off my order, plus she gave me a 10% off for my next visit. I heard her explain the shop's mission to several people, including myself. They've been open just 10 months and she said the community has been great with supporting them and giving donations. She didn't realize what hard work it is to run a retail store...but I'm sure it more than pays off in the end! I must say they have some great merchandise and it's SO well priced. The selection was very well organized, very clean, tons of brand new items and the prices are just fantastic. I saw a ton of cute earrings for $2 including many new pairs. I found a really cute fall dress for $13 that is in new condition. She was telling me that the donator brought in 6 of the exact same dress and this was the last one - Score! Baby clothes were just $1 each. Their dressing rooms are much nicer than any I've seen in any retail store, let alone a thrift shop. Beautiful curtains on the doors and nice seats inside, beautiful mirrors and decor. I was shocked when I went in to try on my dress! Anyone going to this small shop can be confident they are getting a great price, clean & well worth it merchandise and you should feel warm & fuzzy inside knowing you've helped in some tiny way. Annie's Resale for the World is just across the street from me so I see myself popping in here quite a bit! You can also volunteer here a few hours each week!

You can't tell much from the outside, but inside, you discover the heart of this organization. Yelp needs to know about this place!! This is not Goodwill. It's not a large store filled with tons of kitschy and mediocre clothes. Nothing is broken. There are no holes. There are no disinterested employees. It is small. It is cute. It is a little pricier than typical resale stores. It is hit or miss. But it is amazing. The clothes are high-quality. Books and media are in great shape. The jewelry is exquisite. The staff is so friendly and attentive. And they have dressing rooms! Beautiful dressing rooms with cute curtains and little lamps. And purple! Lots of purple. The thing that really sets this place apart from other resale shops are the partners -- people on missions all over the world. When the items within the shop are sold, the proceeds are donated to different partners across the globe: leaders that are educating children, providing food, shelter, and relief to families, and strengthening local churches and community programs. So if you really want to give back to the community, I mean REALLY give back -- to the world, consider stopping here for some of your purchases or donations.
