I bought six stools here many years ago (8) and our stools take heavy use!! recently a bolt fell out and since they swivel and rock, the plate slightly bent. Took a long time for me to research before I made final selection, resulting in me getting a great deal for four Canadel counter stools from Barstools Etc. Almost all of my home's furniture I purchased directly from Highpoint or Jamestown NC because of prices and selection but not this time. Ryan and his whole team were very helpful and knowledgeable about all manufacturers and options. I took the opportunity to take a sales model and fabric sample home to verify if model and style works with my kitchen island. Highly recommend visit to show room and working with Barstool Etc. I purchased three stools for our kitchen counter in the fall of 2019 (great experience) and reached out last month because they'd had more wear and tear than I'd expected them too based on the discussion I'd had with their sales person. I spoke with Elliott, who went out of his way to call the manufacturer, show them the photos and was able to help to get them to recover the stools. They were beyond helpful, even when I didn't expect much to be able to be done about it, and both Tom & Elliott went above and beyond to assist. This is a great place for kitchen, dinette, barstools and gameroom furniture. Went looking for a nice semi-fancy kitchen table. Looking for something to be durable, yet look good. We had previously tried to buy something from a furniture store - pre-made, cheap and looking good, but when it was delivered it was a piece of junk. We had to send it back - pay for delivery and decided to try for something completely different and pay more for the quality. I walked into Barstools thinking it was only barstools and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. One guy brought me about 8 chairs from different parts of the store so that I could see the differences. I let them know that we had had past experiences with poor constructed chairs. At least 2 staff members would say "if it ships in pieces, it will end up in pieces" I decided to listen to them. We bought chairs from one manufacturer and a table from another. They worked with me to make sure that how we ordered the finished product, would look good together, be durable and would fit the room. The delivery took the long end of the 6-8 weeks, but they said 6-8, so 8 weeks was fine as long as the quality was what I was looking for and it is. We have only had the table for 5 days, but I LOVE IT!!! We ended up with metal chairs with a fabric cushion and wood trim. The wood trim matches the wood on the table with a laminate top, the cushion picks up some colors from the laminate. The set looks classy, but not fragile. I would recommend this place highly. The staff is friendly, and they want to make sure that you are happy with what you purchase. They deal with mostly American made products so you feel good about the purchase and the quality is way better than what is made in China. I don't even know where to begin. They have beautiful inventory but no one knows anything about it. Looked at several different options but no one could answer questions. Then once we picked out something, we were told it was custom but no one cold tell us how much. Was told I would get a call "tomorrow". It has been two weeks and the owner has not called me. When you walk in, you see two giant-rooms back to back, filled with chairs and barstools. Its overwhelming how many different options you have - height (regular chair, bar-height, and counter-height), legs, seats, backs, cushions, and colors (of both the hardware and the cushions). Then you learn that they deal mostly with custom orders - you pick exactly the components you want, and they'll make them for you. We were just looking for something inexpensive that would look nice at our counter. Nothing in the store was under $90 a piece. For a single bar stool. It wasn't at all what we were looking for. They have a huge selection of stools and bar-height tables. The staff is very knowledgable and was very friendly without being pressuring. I took a rather long time to decide on my stools; the salesman had no problem moving stools from one side of the store to the other so I could compare them side by side. I made a special order despite the selection, and when I came to pick them up the staff was just as friendly, and thoroughly explained the warranty and everything. My only negative is that they took a bit longer to arrive then I was told they might. I was told 4-8 weeks, or maybe 4-6 weeks, I can't remember now. When I told him that I had a party in a month, he told me he would do a rush order and said that 4 weeks was a possibility. Looking for counter stools, having such a hard time finding strong ones with a back. Hard to find, hard to be sure of quality or specs online. We finally had to go old school and start going to actual stores! Barstools Etc. told us they had a whole floor of stools, both counter and bar height. We asked plenty of questions about style, were they wood, leather, did they have stock, were there fabric options on the floor, blah blah blah. Yes yes yes. So we drive 40 minutes to the place. Huge disappointment. If you want bar height stools, and like traditional dark wood, go here. If you like modern or lighter wood tones on your bar height stools, give this place a shot only if you're in the neighborhood. If you want counter stools, move on. They had about 8 counter stools to choose from, with at least 3 being duplicates. They all had to be special ordered. They all were located by us, because the older gentleman 'helping' us had no clue where to find what. He didn't have a tape measure to determine which were counter height, but luckily we had our own. Lucky because we only wasted 10 minutes finding out that they didn't have what they'd said they had, and what they did have was 90% old timey. Timing stated was 4-6 weeks. Stools came in at exactly 4 weeks (yay!). Absolutely 100% pleased with them. 9 months later we had a very small issue with the back wood piece. Angelina was fantastic in helping contact the manufacturer & offer up an easy solution. Today I picked them up and the owner, Ryan, loaded them into my car. I told him how wonderful his staff and customer service was and he responded by saying "and it's not a once & done....in case there might be any other issues". I ordered Bar Stools from Angelina and said the lead time would be 6-8 weeks but normally they come in sooner. The stools were part of the bar I purchased. Over a 2k purchase. It is now north of 8 weeks and what's worse is that they can't tell me when they will arrive or when they will be delivered. I have e made over 7 calls and spoke to Ryan as well who was professional but at the end of the day I am exhausted dealing with this company. I DO not recommend buying anything from them. It is absolutely ridiculous the excises being made. I was told they are being made over seas and they can't control the shipping. They had full control taking my money. I'm shocked this place got such good reviews. The people who work here are so rude. They do not return phone calls and when you finally reach someone they never know the answer. I purchased stools at this store three times and will never go back. The first time they were great. I should have learned my lesson the second time especially when the owner told me that my chairs were on back order due to Isis!!!! I had no idea what he was talking about but he used that has an excuse. I finally did get the stools months later. Because they are the only store in the area that sells stools, I went back again hoping my experience would be different. Unfortunately it was worse. I ordered six stools and three of the stools were not level. We brought back the stools and were told that they had to send them back to the manufacturer. After months of waiting, I called (no one called me) and was told that only one of the stools had to go back and the other two were in the warehouse. So basically, I could have picked up two of the stools. I have had no communication with them for the last month so I assume the other stool is still not available. Please be aware this establishment does not care about their customers. He realizes there are no stores in the area that have a wide variety of stools so he takes advantage of his customers. I went here and will never go back. I had my stools all picked out, however I had located them cheaper at another retailer. They had them here for $149.99 and I found them for $99.99, same product. I proceeded to ask the younger sales person if they price matched. He asked me what I had found them for and I told him. He proceeded to tell me no way and he stated I'm only here for one reason and one reason only, and that's to make a profit......interesting, isn't your customers the reason your here? Then he proceeded to tell me he pays $88.00 a stool, isn't that still a profit of $11.00 a stool, maybe my math is off? He was kind of rude, just tell me you don't price match, seriously! Just had a kitchen table made at Barstools, Etc and am so happy with our purchase, and our decision to bring our business there. I dealt directly with Angelina on the design of our table and she was great about answering all my questions, going back and forth with the manufacturer to make sure we got everything we wanted, and coordinating the delivery of our table. When we discovered we needed the table earlier than originally planned, both she and Ryan jumped through hoops to make sure it happened and in the end, got us our table in time for us to show it off at a family party for which we needed it! I have never written a review for a business before but I felt I needed to for this company. First off, I think the person who gave this store 2 stars because it is so big did the business a disservice. If you want quality bar stools this is your place. We purchased 4 bar stools for our kitchen 2 1/2 years ago. We had a problem with the back of one of the bar stools and I called to see about the warranty. Of course it was expired since it had been longer than a year. Ryan (the owner) told me to bring the stool in and they would see what they could do. He replaced the back and didn't charge me a thing. He also gave me 2 allen wrenches to take home and keep so I could tighten all of the other chairs to make sure the back hadn't become loose. I don't know of any other business that has customer service like that. I would recommend this business to any one and feel comfortable for the service and quality they would receive. We also purchased 4 bar stools and a table and 4 chairs for our basement. The quality is fantastic and they are super sturdy. read more

i went to this place today expecting to go in and buy a couple of barstools for my new kitchen island.it was a bit of a drive coming from chicago, but not bad. well when i got there-holy! the selection is huge. i had a certain idea of what i wanted and the owner, i think ryan is his name, told me whatever you like, its your selection, but did tell me options of why some other ideas were better. and after thinking about it he made perfect sense. although i did not buy (have to bring my wife back, too many selections) i will be making a purchase from them. with regards to the wait time. yes it is about a month out, but that is for basicaly a custom stool and you will have exactly what you want. and for a custom stool, the prices are very reasonable. most of the stuff has lifetime warranties so spend a little extra and dont worry about your stools ever again.if you want cheapie stools which they do sell a few of, and want to keep buying new ones year after year and actually lose money over the long fun, dont go here. if you want a u.s. custom built stool with all the options with a lifetime coverage that will only cost you a couple hundred dollars, run to this place. read more
