O'Reilly's Furniture & Amish Gallery - Couch and recliner purchased at O'Reilly's.

I believe in what I see!…read more After ordering numerous products online only to be returned, I'm not a catalog shopper. This week I purchased a couch, and a recliner a few days later. Both items were purchased off of the showroom floor and were delivered with care separately. Backstory is that I went to O'Reilly's three different times. I perused other furniture retailers regionally, but kept circling back to look at a cocoa colored leather sofa. This must be the one. Sold! Out with the old and in with the new. After seeing the couch in my living room, I decided that I wanted another chair/ottoman or recliner to replace the one I had. Went back to O'Reilly's to take another look at their stock on the floor. There was a black leather recliner that caught my eye. It was sleek and well proportioned to my weight and height. A plus was the matching love seat to my couch was close by, so I could visualize how the pieces would look together. It was so comfortable that I decided to purchase it immediately. My sales representative gave me a discount to the price marked on the chair. It was delivered the next day. Thank you Mike for the great customer service! I love how my new furniture looks. At this writing the furniture is brand new. Hopefully it will withstand the test of time concerning operation and durability.

They weren't sure of status and promised to call me back next day. Two weeks later I had to stop by because I never heard back. I was promised an answer in the next few days. I heard it would be ready in a few weeks. The new due date passed, no word, I stopped by again for update. The general manager was very defensive and defended their horrible communication. "You can't expect us to call every customer with status updates." Yes, I can, especially when you promised the customer a call. It's the 21st century, plenty of software exists that will remind you to call customers. We finally got the furniture about a year after order. FYI, the order was placed in 2022. 2. When the furniture arrived, the bench lid had an obvious defect in the wood I saw right away. First they tried to pass it off as distressed wood but I reminded them I didn't order distressed wood. Then they tried to blame poor lighting in the warehouse for not noticing. Then they tried to say they could just fix it with export/resin filler. No, it gets fixed by replacing the defective wood with good wood. 3. They also messed up the doors on the shoe bench. We asked for vented doors but they gave us solid doors. 4. They messed up the kitchen dining nook. We asked for paneled all the way up but they gave us slats instead in the top section. TheseO'Reilly Furniture people gave us a very disappointing experience. I'll never use them again and do not recommend them. They and/or their furniture makers are customer indifferent. We recently bought an Amish desk for our son from Amish Furniture Gallery in Aurora. He was able to customize it and they honored every single customization request and delivered on time.

I am redoing my whole house and had just returned from High Point NC because my daughter just moved…read moreto that area. I visited several furniture stores and was greeted promptly, was able to see an enormous amount of furniture, especially at Furnitureland South, where I placed a large order. I was still looking for four or five items and stopped into Britt Carter to see if I could find anything that I would like as I am in the market for high end to luxury furniture. I walked in on Wednesday and the girl sitting behind the desk did not acknowledge me, not even a "hello" or 'can we help you." I walked the entire store freely snapping pictures of items that looked interesting to me assuming someone would approach me. I was the only customer in the store the whole time. That didn't happen and when I left, the same girl did not even look up from her phone to at least say goodbye. Nothing said. I realized at that moment that this would never be a retail establishment that I would do business with. So right in the parking lot, I texted a photo of the beautiful item I saw there to my sales person in High Point and I ordered that exact item at a significant lower price from her. As an interesting side note, the artist/decorator I am working with in my renovation told me he brought a client into Britt Carter recently - he was looking for a lot of items and they were completely ignored as well. He assumed it was because they were in work clothes having just completed an installation at the house. The client refused to stay since he was not being acknowledged and they went down the street to Job Youshaei and the client spent $80,000. My decorator did call and speak directly to Britt about this but it doesn't look like things have changed. I'm guessing that, even though their sign on the outside says that they are open to the public, they really prefer to work with decorators with appointments. If that is really what they want their business model to be, that is entirely their prerogative, but be transparent about it. I would not return except to get some great photos of lovely furniture that I could actually order elsewhere for a lower price and exceptional customer service.

Britt was the 5th and the charm among decorators we had evaluated as we looked for a design and decorating scheme we would love coming home to every day! Britt met our need for glamour and sophistication coupled with practicality and timelessness; for quality yet reasonable pricing; for top-notch and timely furniture line options; and for honesty, enthusiasm, and excellent listening skills. Following the rebuild, Britt designed and decorated the house of our dreams for a second time. We recommend Britt and Britt Carter and Company without reservations!!!

We were excited when we purchased our sectional here after recommendation. Made sure to ask how…read moredurable recliners were and quality as we wanted something that was going to last. We were told they hold up to 350 pounds which we are no where even close to that weight and assured this was a quality brand that would last . It's just myself and my husband and we take extremely good care of our things. After purchasing we noticed a tear in the corner top on the end recliner which a repair guy came out and fixed. It is now a year in a half old . Recliners are sinking into wood, cushions in foot rest all sunk. One of the regular cushions that's probably has been sat on a hand full of times was ripped, and corner that was previously repaired came undone. Was extremely disappointed as it wasn't a cheap sectional. Called several times and waited over a month for a repair guy to come out after first guy never returned a call or showed up. Owner finally sends a different repair guy who came out. We explained the problems. Since it was sinking in he decided to put in a different foam that was thicker cause it was still doing the same thing with the stuffing that was in it originally after he added more in. Had me sit on it for a min which is hard to tell. Called him back after a day cause myself nor my husband could sit on it without our backs killing us cause it was so hard and different material. Also I had mentioned that since he put that in the end recliner was making a banging noise. He came back out and pulled out the thicker foam and added some other foam. The sectional is still sinking in a we were told noise from end recliner that was never there prior to him coming was a weight distribution problem, and nothing could be done. We were also told to buy lumbar cushions for our backs. He also told us we could add more foam. We didn't buy a couch to be adding foam to it, as we are not in the furniture repair business. After he left the first time he called me back cause he forgot to tack material under foot rest so was headed back. I called the owner back to let him know how disappointed we were. He was extremely rude telling me why would we call repair guy back after it was fixed and we signed paperwork that we were satisfied. Obviously no communication between them. I explained that I literally sat on it for less than a minute after he was done. He was well aware I had foot surgery and had to be on the couch. I was more than patient waiting over a month for someone to even come out. Every time I called back the owner would say I can't believe he didn't call you I'll email him again. The end result was we were told if we wanted it fixed he would send somebody here and we could pay for it! We are now stuck with this sectional that we have to put pillows behind our back just to sit for a short period. This has put a lot of mental stress on my healing process. We will never purchase another item from this business again. Make sure to get in writing the broken promises when you purchase.
