And this didn't disappoint because I found myself wanting to recreate a few rooms with their gorgeous furniture, but for now I settled on some new placemats. Unfortunately, they didn't have the placemats I wanted in stock, but the lovely sales associate ordered them for me with a store code for free shipping and 15% off. Score! The outdoor space is gorgeous and I couldn't help, but just sit down for a few to check my email. I wish they went the RH store route with drinks and food out here because it really is the perfect setting and I could see myself enjoying many girls nights out in this space with a drink in hand. Welcome to the neighborhood Serena & Lily!

I went to the store processed the return with Margaret Fuchs July 25th, their warehouse received the items July 27th as of today I still have not received credit. Margaret has told me twice, a customer service rep by phone and now Robert Georgiou has told me he received an email showing the credit processing it and that is was just processed yesterday. I asked for a copy of the email showing me the credit. He sent me the same pdf I have received twice before with today's date on it. Has never sent me the email from accounting and if it was processed yesterday why does the pdf have today's date? This company is scamming people. I just looked up on google and there are people from all over claiming the same things. Beware!

Maze Home - I didn't know want to buy anything since they were not at all cordial but this was beautiful.

Maze Home is ok. They have lots of stuff and if you're looking for a gift, you could easily find…read moreone here. They carry a large variety of home and gift items. There's a small section of baby clothes if you need to shop for a little one. I bought a beautiful ornament there, shaped like Santa with a Chicago-scape painted on the back of his robes (and was glad to get it for 40% off); if that ornament was any indication of the ones they sold at the height of holiday shopping season, they had some beautiful ornaments, too. Where they fell down (hard, IMO) was service. I wandered for about ten or more minutes looking around. There were at least three employees here (though one was in the back for at least part of my visit), and only two other parties whilst I was in here--both of whom left at least five minutes before I finished up. Not a single employee said a word to me whilst until I checked out, when one had to acknowledge me. They talked to each other... I heard them gossiping about family holiday drama... and even when they stopped chatting and parted, neither could spare a hello or anything. All this is to say that I don't expect I'll return, which won't be too difficult since I'm not in Winnetka often, but there are other shops where you can get pretty much anything that's here and you'll be treated better.

This cute boutique store has so many unique gift ideas for your family, young and old as well as home decor. The owner was able to help me find the perfect Christmas present for my kids Grandmother. Monogrammed gloves, cashmere hat, and shaw perfect for traveling to see my family here! She even gift wrapped it for me, at no extra cost. I will be back to get some special ornaments!

I continue to be so in love with this store. If you're into shops that will have you looking in…read moreevery single corner wanting every single thing, then this is your stop. Tonight I finished my holiday shopping for my niece and picked up a couple of beautiful gifts. The kids section contains high-quality merchandise. My hubby was literally double-parked outside, and I thought I could just run in and out, but no way. I wanted to buy the entire collection! From adorable natural cotton baby clothes to books, to stuffed animals, to toys, you will not leave empty-handed. They have something for every budget, and I think the prices are spot on for the quality. I truly admit to being completely obsessed with an adorable owl stuffed animal. Sooooo cute! Now, the best part about this store? Well, aside from the well-curated merchandise, is the owner. She's a total sweetheart and helped me pick out the perfect gift. She also gift-wrapped it in a super cute burlap bag with my choice of tissue color and a tie. Thank you...thank you. I'm so happy to see that this store is around. I need to stop in more often. Of course, not just for baby gifts, because they have grown-up goodies and cards too. Run, don't walk to this store. You won't be disappointed. Plus, it's super cute inside.

You know you have little ones at home when you pass by a new store and can't get a nursery rhyme out of your head. Yes, there's a new store in Glencoe...whoo hoo! I haven't done much shopping in town since Shirise closed their doors earlier this year (RIP), but it's fabulous to have a store where you can quickly pop in for a housewarming gift or just a little something for visiting a new baby. In the few weeks BlackSheep has been open I've stopped in twice to purchase: a) a lovely candle for the host of dinner during the jewish holidays b) a lovey for a new baby visit (the "real" gift wasn't ready quite yet) And of course I can't forget the few times my pre-schooler has dragged me in there for "just a few pieces of candy." Based on the fabulous candy display they have set up I have a feeling we'll be spending lots of time (and $) at BlackSheep. Welcome to the hood BlackSheep!

But when I'm looking for a new idea the sales associates are always super helpful and I'm in and out within minutes....with a beautifully wrapped home gift in my hands. My most recent purchases have been beautifully smelling candles, berry bowls and even cocktail napkins with funny sayings. It's super convenient that this is right in town. Whenever i"m in here something catches my eye for my own home, but with the exception of a napkin holder for our own powder room I tend to just shop here for gifts. Perhaps one day I'll take the time to do some shopping for my own home, but in the meantime it's a great spot for gifts!

They have nice things but the prices are very high for what they are. The salesperson asked me a veiled question "are you from the area or visiting?" It made me feel bad. I've lived in town for 12 years and I said "we don't look like people who live here but we do live down the street". To which she said, and it kinda floored me, " I don't judge people by their clothes." I should note we were dressed very casually. She was trying her best to size us up which is just gross to be honest. She exhibited the type of off-putting vibe that gives the North Shore a bad rep. I really don't know who's buying all this oversized white serve ware but it won't be me.
