The moment I stepped onto the showroom floor, I was instantly mesmerized. They had an awesome sale going, and I ended up spending approximately 14 hours shopping over two days! My salesperson, Andra, was super patient and extremely accommodating. In the end, I gleefully purchased 15 superb pieces of furniture, which they delivered to Wisconsin for a reasonable extra fee. The delivery and setup by Brandon and Guillermo were absolutely perfect. I originally went back to Dania because I never forgot my first experience there. Back in 2008, I was living in Oak Park, IL, had just sold my house, and wanted new furniture. A friend spoke very highly of them, so off I went. Their customer service was excellent, and the furniture was high-quality and reasonably priced. To make matters even better, their delivery and setup were awesome. I was so pleased that I never forgot the experience--in fact, I still have the bedroom set and bookcases I purchased back then! They were not willing to reimburse their shipping to me nor my cost to return ship to them although their representative acknowledged the mistaken item description was their fault! Get some things on the cheap. They also have a few sales each week. Basically it looks like a typical small thrift store, but the difference is the quality of what they have. It's mostly clothes, and a few knickknacks. There's also home goods like glasses and plates. Clothes aren't falling apart like at some places that are cheaper. The service is also friendly. Get here for some good finds and fairly cheap. It's a little more expensive than Goodwill but it's better quality. There's something to get as a gift or for yourself.

They had 15% off Christmas stuff when I was in but I didn't see anything I needed (and other similar shops I'd visited in Uptown, Andersonville, Wilmette, and even down the street in Winnetka had 40-60% off Christmas items, so it was easy to pass). Staff were friendly and I was greeted by both employees within moments of entering, both happy to help me find anything if needed. If you're looking for a gift, decorating a home, or need advice on either, Madarine Home would not be a bad place to shop. There's a step in order to enter the store, so you may want to call and find out if they have an accessible entrance if you can't manage the step.
