Cool Target location in the South Shore Plaza complex. It's a bit smaller than other Targets, but it's quite respectable in size and has a HUGE baby selection in the middle of the store. The women's clothing section I found a bit lacking, but they have a good supply of food and pharmacy items. Parking is super convenient with the SSP garage next door. You can also get here on the 236 or 238 buses from Quincy Center. read more

This Target is great! I love Target anyways but this one really has been awesome so far. I live in Quincy and my choices prior to this Target were South Bay (eek!) or Stoughton (great Target but too far of a drive for everyday stuff). So this location is so needed and just phenomenal. Very clean, well stocked, easy to navigate and the people who work there are friendly and actually ask if you need help as your walking around! They have a food section which is nice (closest one to here is Hanover- again way too far for grocery shopping). The carts are great (new, big and durable it seems). The fact that it is attached to the mall is really convenient too and even though it is part of the mall, it has the regular convenient Target hours! Wow! This is one cool Target. LOVE IT! I'm still a little in love with the one in Stoughton. But, this is my second favorite. It's absolutely huge! I love the fact that it's at the South Shore Plaza. It's fully stocked with lots of cool stuff. I bought my husband Stratego for Christmas here! He was looking for that game for years! I made his Christmas!! They have a great $1.00 area in the front with lots of cool items! That's one of my favorite spots. not a great Target, with weird design for entrance/exit and checkout. They sold me on a Target card, which was fine, until I made a purchase about 6 months ago, and never received a bill. Ever. But I received a collection call for an amount equal to more than $200 above the cost of the item, last week. I always pay bills immediately, as interest payments are absurd, and had thought I had paid for this item. A check of my Quicken showed it hadn't been paid; a check of my bank showed it hadn't ever been billed. Target not only was uninterested, but was obnoxious. I tore up the card, and will never shop there again, no matter how inexpensive or convenient. I won't frequent deceptive businesses! So the low prices are coming from somewhere, folks!!! read more

Great location, nice to do mall shopping and then food shopping here on my way out. Usually pretty clean and easy to navigate. Escalator has been broken for a while, last 2 visits, which is inconvenient. Probably not the cheapest place to food shop, but convenient. I love this Target. It's bright and easy to find things. They even have a handy map you can grab so you know where everything is in the store. Their $1 has tons of great items and they actually keep it pretty organized instead of just dumping stuff in each bin. The shopping carts are plastic and really easy to maneuver. The staff is really helpful and friendly. And as a bonus it's attached to the mall so you can get your Target and mall shopping done at the same time. read more

Lousy Target. Often long lines at the registers. No registers on the mall entrance side of the store (meaning if you need to go into the mall after purchase, you need to walk back all the way through the store to the mall side). Smaller selection on certain items (household supplies, for example) than other Targets. Weird layout to the store. Often very difficult to find someone to help you in the video game area. Target in Braintree MA overall is a good store but they need to teach some of the employees what a recycle bag is. Today I went to the store and had my own bag to put the groceries I purchased but the Target employee kept looking as she did not know what it was or something, so Target needs inform their employees what a recycle bag is. Also, people should not put trash where the recycle container is near the entrance of Target in Braintree, the trash is right there but some individuals rather to put trash where should be recycle, perhaps they do not know how to read, so, I suggest Target make more clear to people that recycle is recycle and not for trash. read more

This is the second time I've come here to write about the horrible service I'm currently getting from Target. First, Target had no record of the TV I ordered. After several phone calls I finally got a delivery date. I had the usual 5 hour window 12-5. At 5 I called the delivery company. I was informed the delivery would not be able to be done that day. I had to call them. I spent well over $800 for the set and I'm a Red Card holder. After talking with the delivery representative (and her supervisor)I finally got a time/date that was acceptable. read more

If you can avoid coming here on weeknights, I suggest you do. The staff on weeknights seem to be mostly high school kids who have no customer service skills at all. The staff on the weekend, however, are very friendly. On this particular weeknight, the employee I dealt with was Luther. I picked out some stuff from the bargain section. Some were marked as half off, but when I scanned them at the price checkers, I got an error message. No price came up at all. When I got to the register, I told the cashier, Luther, that some of the items didn't scan, and set them aside. He nodded. He didn't even greet me. When he got to the items that I had indicated weren't scanning, they scanned for him. I don't know if Luther is mute, because he didn't say a word to me the whole transaction. Not even to tell me the total. When I got home, I realized that the items that I had set aside had scanned, but at the full price. Not only was the cashier extremely rude, he couldn't even bother to confirm with me that the prices of the items I had specifically pointed out to him were scanning at the correct price. read more

Had to make an emergency stop for some child pain medication and Target was open late . Nice store, very clean with a friendly staff. Quickly pointed me to the right direction. Even though they were closing soon, didn't notice anyone rushing customers out or dissauding customers from entering. All and all another great Target experience. read more

This is the first time I have seen a Target inside the mall. I think that was pretty cool, as well as a great idea. I was out the mall, and there were some things I needed such as Eye glasses(reading). I stopped at Macy's and they did not carry any. So I was looking around the mall to see if I could find a store that might have some. Wham! There was Target. Down the escalator I went and there it was. A great full size Target with Groceries and all. I got my reading Glasses and a few other things. The I was on my way. I did need some help finding some items , so the staff was very helpful towards my shopping experience. The only thing that was a bit off , was that the check out was near the other side of the Mall. Not near where I had to enter back out in to the mall. Not a big deal but, After I checked out I had to walk back through the store to get back out into the mall. That is the only thing that stops me from giving them the 5 stars. Great store, with pharmacy and food, fresh and frozen as well. read more

This store is convenient if you are at the mall and need something but the set up is really annoying. Half the time either the doors at the entrance of the mall or the escalator is broken. I find the store to be bare at all times. The checkout lines are on the opposite side of the store. The clothing sections always seem a disaster zone. read more

Honestly, I want to give the Braintree Target 2-and-a-half stars, but I am going to round down to 2 because I find there are more problems with the overall layout of the store than there is with the staff and service. However, if you are in Braintree and you need to pick up something quick, this is the place to go. Target food prices, IMO, are very competitive with grocery stores and it is awesome to have the ability to shop in the mall and get a little groceries on your way. This store is not laid out like most other Targets and I find it very confusing. There are two entrances -- one from the parking lot adjacent to Nordstrom and one from the mall. The store itself is sub-level. There are no shopping cart escalators and the line for the elevator is constantly long with shopping carts and baby strollers. Or worse, parents with shopping carts and baby strollers. Furthermore, in the nearby parking lot, there are only 2 or 3 shopping cart return locations. Leave it to the average busybody Masshole to leave their shopping cart wedged between two other cars nearby. From the mall entrance, the escalators carry people to the left of traffic and the doors are also laid out as such. That, probably, is my biggest pet peeve. Furthermore, it seems as if there are always clothes and shoes strewn about the floor in the women's and shoe sections. And nothing is ever in order in the DVD and book sections. Between the way the store is laid out and the fact there are not abundant shopping cart returns, I think it is very difficult for the consumer to use Target for what it's worth. I don't want to have to wheel my shopping cart through the mall (p.s., the carts are set up such that you can't!) or the parking lot, so I won't pick up groceries and household items. Instead, I drive home to my local Target and spend an obscene amount of money there! read more

This is my new favorite Target. It encompasses everything about Target that I love (clean, stocked up, etc.) and leaves the things that I hate (ghetto and messy) about Target behind, and it's now super close and easy to get to for me. It's got a food section that is pretty big, unlike the South Bay location. It's always stocked up in every department. And it isn't a mess like South Bay always is. I don't love stores like Target & Wal-Mart, but understand that they are a necessary evil. (Oh, and DON'T tell me that the two shouldn't be lumped together, give me a break! This Target reminds me of an early 90s KMart or Ames Department Store. Just because it is in the basement doesn't mean it has to be set up stupidly. The decor is already falling apart in the escalator bank leading to the mall, the doors and elevators are on the wrong sides (left instead of right), and the selection is meh. The bedding department is less than half the size of the Watertown store (or maybe just has 1/3 the products). Lots of empty shelves. Who designed the location for the registers? Why are there no registers leading to the mall entrance? read more

The manager is mean and has no customer service skills. The staff at the cafe close for hours for what is supposed to be a 30 minute break. And yet they'll have 5 people working at the Starbucks. Target is one of my favorite stores. I love that this one has a grocery section as well. The jewelry and shoe sections have been lacking in the past 6 months, so that is disappointing. This is my go to Target location as it's the closest to me. They don't carry as much as the Stoughton or Westwood locations, but for basic every day items, they have it all. I also recommend loading their Cartwheel app for more savings on top of sale prices and coupons. read more

Finally open! This is a great addition to the South Shore plaza. This is beside Nordstrom, and they have ample parking space. What separates this from the other Target stores is that they sell produce and they have a meat section. I still think that the Stoughton store is bigger and has a lot more storage, but I guess it's just because I am familiar with the store layout. I am also very happy that the South Shore plaza now has Starbucks cafe (with a lot of tables and seats). read more

Very impressed with this new Target. I thought it would be an eyesore, and a terrible addition to the SSP but boy was I wrong. Even the shopping carts are nice, plus you can do your grocery shopping here. Very pleased with this place. Glad to see another location on the south shore. maybe familiarity has bred contempt, or at least worn the shine off a bit (i was targetless for many years and going was a special event), but target's just not the awesomesauce it used to be. nevertheless, i'm happy this newish target opened in the south shore plaza and i tend to stop in with some regularity. smaller than the larger stand-alone store in stoughton (and probably south bay, too, but i haven't been there in years), i tend to pop in for the things i used to go to wal-mart for. i was a little worried about their grocery section at first, but it's actually kept well, the produce is reasonably well-stocked, and generally looks pretty fresh. have i actually bought produce or meat there? no. like most of the new targets, there's an sbux in there as well. i'm disappointed with this target's automotive and hardware sections, which appear to have been the main concessions for the slightly smaller space compared to the stand-alone stores. they've really stuffed it all into one aisle and the selection is very limited. the electronics section, furnishings, and outdoors/sporting goods areas also seem like they've taken a hit, but they've got the major stuff. everything else is pretty much as you'd expect - the dollar tchotchkes, gewgaws, and lagniappes are still in the front, they've still got decent sized clothing and housewares sections, and a big area for personal care items. ::yawn:: it's nice having a target in the south shore plaza since it's convenient for many people, but i just can't get geeked about it. read more

I hate shopping and I especially dislike malls, but this was a pleasant experience. Found everything I needed and something I didn't (Shaun White's eponymous "Whitemint" gum, whose packaging is a work of art. Trident is better, though). One demerit: My mother wondered where the saleshelp was; we just didn't see any. Majority of the customers go through the main entrance from inside the mall, so after we pay we have to walk make a u-turn through the store to go back into the mall. Terrific place to shop for house hold items and stationary. Free parking and easy entrance from the SSP and also two seperate entrances from parking lot. Pharmacy offers quick service and the customer service is outstanding. Clean restrooms and convinient to have starbucks within the store. read more

Pros: I shop at Target mostly for their grocery section. I love that the store is 5 minutes from my house and the grocery section is in one corner of the store. I can get what I need (mostly) and be home in under an hour. Prices are good too. I never seem to wait long at the checkout either. Cons: I shop at this Target every week. What I don't like is that I see a lot of empty shelves in the produce, meat and dairy departments. They run out of stuff constantly. Last week, they were out of onions. The week before it was 1/2 gallons of 1% milk. One week they were out of small containers of sour cream. Sometimes they have ground chicken and sometimes they don't. They always have a ton of beef but very little chicken. This is basic stuff. It's really annoying. I commend Target for having a grocery department and keeping it small, so shoppers can get what they need and get out quick. But, I think they could do a better job keeping stock on basic staple items. The benefit of being able to do my shopping quickly and efficiently is negated by having to go to another store to get the one or two items I needed but couldn't get when I was at Target. read more

Target is my favorite store to go to whenever I visit SSP. I'm always in need of shampoo, nail products, face products, etc. And I know that if I go to Target the prices will be decent. Since it is new, it is clean and nicely organized compared to the mess that is at South Bay. This location has the worst customer service for pick up. Not sure why there's a problem returning an item that was just picked up when the store hand over the WRONG ITEM. Staff is rude and unhelpful. I tried to exchange a defective air mattress I used once. This store immediately told me they couldn't help me due to a state law. Went to the Westwood target and they let me do it without any problem. Braintree is the closest store to me but I would much rather drive further for a better experience. read more
