***THIS IS A SCAM - DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!*** We went into this "store" that people are living out of and picked out a table to be delivered, they said they would text for the address. 10 days later, we still had not heard a word from them so we called, and they delivered a table same day. Well, NOT the table we picked out & paid for. We had to call AGAIN to inform them they made a mistake, to find out there was no mistake, they PURPOSEFULLY gave us the wrong table because ours was not in stock. When I requested a refund and them to pick the incorrect table up, they tried to sell me a 3rd table over the phone that I had never seen. The next day they picked up the wrong table but offered no return. We had to go back to the "store" in person and demand a refund. Thank god we had the receipt. The whole process was a SCAM. What a scam. We paid for full damage coverage on our couch. With in a year the zippers to the couch cushions were all torn off and broken. When we called them and asked to have them fixed they said they have no history of our purchase when they literally delivered everything to our home. I've had the worst experience here. I am a first time mover so I've never been through the furniture shopping process. I figured going into a store was better than shopping there but most of their items are online and their store is actually limited. If I knew better, I would have just opened a credit card, and bought it straight from the source instead of financing it from them. Long story short- Im paying $1800 for an $800 bed set because I didn't understand the terms of "early payout." If I did not pay in 90 days, I was told interest would be added, but in reality if you don't pay in 90 days, you'll pay OVER 100% what its worth! Not only that store communication is horrible. My bed was backordered for a WHOLE MONTH, and no one told me. I just had to follow up a week later and ask whats going on. The store owner then blamed his employee for not keeping communication. Which honestly was not professional as a store owner should take responsibility for his workers. My bed comes a month later. Not only that, I learn about this early payout scam too late. I spoke with Acima and asked him to send me a letter informing them of my late delivery so that the lease date should be pushed back. He ignores my texts and informs me he's "too busy" during our phone call. A month later he tells me he sent them the letter. NEVER once informing me. They basically say he did but now Ive missed my extension all because he did not let me know. This is an unprofessional way to run a business. *This review is only representative of MY experience with this business* JT and I were on a long, arduous search for a new couch. We stopped into the South Shore Mall on a Thursday night thinking we'd hit up Macy's. Macy's had a couple options, but they had a 6 week lead time on orders for delivery. No thank you! After looking at the malls directory, we noticed the listing for Furniture Gallery. We decided, why not, let's look to see what they have. It's an eclectic mix of furniture, for sure. Some of it would never be allowed in my home, but we were happy to see a fair number of couch options that we really liked. The prices seemed comparable to Macy's until we checked with the one man servicing the store and he told us the prices were for the SETS. I literally had to stop and ask, "wait, what? that price for two couches!?" Sold. It's $60.00 for delivery (probably more if you live outside the Braintree/Weymouth area). We ordered the couches, paid in full, and were told that it would be a week to 10 days for delivery. It took almost two weeks (not the 10 days) for the couch to come in and the only reason I'm giving the store 4 stars, rather than 5 is because they didn't communicate to us why there was a delay. The only reason we knew is because JT called twice to follow-up. Once we reached the store, the person was quick to inform us of a delay in shipping from California, but that would have been better received had they been proactive about calling and keeping us informed. The truck swung by on a Wednesday night and they moved the two couches in the house. It's a plain truck, no signage and the delivery guys aren't uniformed, but they were very kind, very careful, and very cheerful! I would go back to Furniture Gallery again. Great bargains! read more

So before you go to some big name place try this place first. They may not have a huge selection but definitely worth checking. I purchased a metal daybed. It came with rails that fit under the mattress but when we put the mattress on top The rails fell onto the floor. We had to put wooden boards under the mattress to hold it up. The middle part of the side rail bent. It said it held 400 pounds. The only temporary solution was to put a car jack to hold the mattress in place. I called the store to see what they could do. The warranty was expired but I expected service from the store as I spent over $400 for this and it didn't include a mattress. There is no way the rail should have bent like that. The manager was very brusque and didn't seem to want to talk with me. He said to send pictures and maybe they could send a new part but I don't see how it wouldn't happen again. So he just apologized and said there was nothing they could do. This is been very frustrating and I am very disappointed in the service from the store. read more

I ordered a piece of furniture from this store on 11/9/2018. I was told the delivery would be made prior to Thanksgiving day. I was in the store while the associate named RIta was on the phone with the factory warehouse in New Jersey. She confirmed they had the product and the order was placed before I left. I went in the next week to make a payment. I spoke with Bill who assured me that the sofa would be delivered before Thanksgiving. The Monday of Thanksgiving week I went into the store to make my final payment. Two Days before delivery should have occurred and it was at that time that Bill said "Oh the sofa will not be here it is coming from California." I asked how was that possible it was located in New Jersey. I also inquired why did he not call prior to me coming in to let me know that it was not coming? His response was "they didnt have it in NJ but it is coming from CA, its coming its coming, dont worry." I went back the day before Thanks Giving day to get a definite estimated date of delivery. Bill said he did not have one, 'but its coming". I asked when did it leave "CALIFORNIA" he did not give me the exact date of departure, he replied "it left, it already left, I will call you Monday (11/26/18) you dont have to pay the final balance until I call you. As of 11/29/2018, 20 days after my original purchase Bill failed to contact me regarding delivery of my order. I called the store and attempted to get an update. I spoke with someone named Dan who apologized for Bill not getting back to me and said he will call you but if he doesn't I suggest you come in because I cannot help you regarding purchasing and money and offered me Bill's cell phone number. Very Long story short I filed with the BBB, and ultimately ended up going back to the store and cancelling my order a week into December because I ended up being told that the sofa had NEVER left California because they needed a full shipment from the factory, they were NOT going to ship just one couch. My husband and I bought a home and needed need living room furniture. They were absolutely wonderful. We bought a sectional (which everyone raves about when they come over, it's so comfortable!), a gorgeous rustic coffee table and an end table, that has power charging capabilities. We also bought a second sectional, that they held onto, as we thought we would be doing a basement Reno sooner then we are. My fiance and I bought a sectional from this Billy guy. Who is the owner of this horrible store. Everything was good until I made the payment and the sale was done. The day the received the couch they called me to deliver it. I agreed they said they'll get to my place at 7. Delivery driver from Macy's shows up at my door at 10:40p.m to deliver my sectional. Couches where broken and of course the delivery man refused to take the couches with him because he can't leave it in his Macy's truck and Billy or I would need to pay the guy $100 for delivery (since that's what Billy pays him per delivery). So than I called Billy no answer. I send him a message with a picture of the damages on the couch... still no answer. I show up at the store the next day and he just gives me shit and tells me I need to wait for the manager to call me. (Mind you he's the owner with only 2 workers in there). So he ended up kicking me out the store. So after 2 weeks of fighting with him and threatening him with court etc he ordered me a new sectional. A different guy comes and delivers it alone. So my fiance had to help him. But he only brought one piece of the sectional the other piece is still broken and he refuses to order this piece because he will need to pay so that means I would need to pay extra. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO IN HERE AND SHOP. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING CHEAPER THAN JORDANS OR WHEREVER CHECK OUT FRUGAL FURNITURE OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THAT! Cheaper couches last alot longer then this. Called furniture gallery was told nothing they can do. Normal wear and tear. Ridiculous. Leading up to the Sale: I walked into the store and there were a few customers inside looking around and one man working behind the counter. He introduced himself as Billy. I assume he is the manager or owner of this store since I have not seen other people working there. He was very friendly, always had a nice smile, and after our initial greeting gave me enough time to walk around the showroom and test out the furniture. There were lots of nice sofas in the showroom but they only had one sleeper physically there. After a while of "window shopping" I wanted to go out to see a few more furniture stores before I decided on anything. When the Billy saw me walking for the door he reengaged me in conversation and showed me his online catalog via a giant tablet kiosk in the showroom. This specific kiosk, if I recall correctly, only shows items from Ashley Furniture catalog (Furniture Gallery is a reseller of Ashley and other brands as well). He told me that there were a few regular sofas in the showroom that were available as sleeper models which could be ordered. I liked hearing that because I could actually sit in those sofas and get a feel for the fabric/cushioning regardless of the model. I found one I liked and we negotiated/discussed current sales for a while before I told him I would be back after thinking it over. (I always need time before making a big purchase to weigh my options and prices) I left the store and did some online research of Ashley Furniture and other people's prices in case I decided to buy direct or go somewhere else. It turned out Billy's price was much cheaper than other stores and even Ashley's price. I went back into the store a few hours later and decided to move forward with the purchase. I even found the sleeper a little cheaper, before the sales discount, on the Furniture Gallery Website (which Billy respectfully price matched). After the sale: Some things you need to understand before you continue reading this part of the review. You'll realize that Furniture Gallery isn't a big corporation or chain. Because of this, they cannot be as quick or agile with shipping/delivery as the big stores. I decided to continue with the sale because Billy seemed like an honest good guy and the price was right for the quality of the product. The delivery time estimate to get the sleeper from Ashley Furniture to their store was about a week and ultimately it ended up being about 1.5 weeks. The delivery from Furniture Gallery to my apartment took a few days extra due to other scheduled deliveries (I think they have only 1 delivery truck/crew). This wasn't a huge deal for me because I understood they have a smaller group of people working for them. I was really happy that every time I called Billy for an update (even on Sunday) he picked up his phone and talked to me. Again, he was always very nice every time. That made this transaction better for me. Day of Delivery: The delivery people showed up in their unmarked white truck and were very nice with great attitudes. It was raining outside but the sleeper sofa was packaged really well and the rain didn't get to it). Before delivery, I had measured our building's elevator and found it was too small for the sleeper sofa. So, I guided them up the stairwell to get the sofa up into my apartment on the 3rd floor. It was a tight fit after the stairwell to get the sofa into my apartment but these guys knew exactly what they were doing and made it work. Once they got it into my apartment within about 10 minutes they had everything setup. They hung around for me to do a personal inspection of the sofa and mattress. I noticed that Ashley Furniture (not Furniture Gallery) made a mistake and included a very thin and weak spring mattress in the sleeper sofa instead of a memory foam one (everywhere online it says this sleeper comes with memory foam by default). I then called Billy and he had me take some photos of the sleeper sofa and the serial/model numbers. He ordered me a replacement mattress from Ashley. I thanked the delivery drivers and they were on their way. Fast forward a week later, I exchanged the spring mattress for the foam mattresses at no cost and all was good. The quality of the memory foam mattress was far superior to the spring. Conclusion: These are honest guys. If mistakes happened, they took care of me. They gave me a great deal on this sleeper sofa and even beat the price of the manufacturer. Everyone I met or talked to during this was very nice. Like a previous review, the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to call them about delays instead of them reaching out to me first. I feel like if they can improve on that and have more accurate delivery estimates then it would be that much better of an experience! read more
