This is a store that stands behind its products. They recently repaired a chair purchased two years ago after it popped a spring. Knowledgeable ,efficient and courteous repair tech came to my home and diagnosed the problem .He took the chair with him and returned it two days later good as new. No charge. The old bait and switch. I would strongly recommend against purchasing any furniture (or at least a sectional) from Boston Interiors. We went to the Hanover store to look at sectionals for a small boston apartment. We were sold on the fact that we could add additional pieces to the sectional fairly inexpensively as we moved into a larger apartment because the color we picked would be in production for a long time. We settled on a two piece sectional that the salesperson guaranteed would fit in our small staircase. Well it didn't. In fact, while the store-provided movers were stuck in our stairwell, they left the second piece of the couch on the road, which was thrown away by the Boston garbage men. We worked with the store on a three piece sectional which would work for our apartment. After a year, we reached out to the store to add a corner piece to the apartment. On December 1, 2022 they quoted us a price of $199.95 to add a piece to our sectional. We reached out again mid-summer 2023 and were quoted over $2,000 for the same piece. A measly 1,000% increase. Boston Interiors let us know that the color of our sectional was no longer in production and there was nothing they could do. So consider buying somewhere else. The selection of the furniture is limiting at times,. I have had very few problems with the quality and delivery during Covid. The customer service response is excellent and friendly. Bought a giant sectional with slip covers. Washed after 4 months in cold water and hung dry. OMG, lost 1/4 of size. Sent photos to customer service and after calling no less than 10 times to get a response, I was told that I must have washed wrong and that they would do nothing. Really? Performance fabric??? No I am looking at my new chair from there and looking at how the arms have wavy paddling along the arms making it look cheep. My family room custody of Boston interiors looks like shrunken, cheep shit. AND customer service says "too bad, your fault!" NEVER AGAIN. And it's too bad, I liked them at first. read more

Cannot comment on quality or service but I can comment on how to lose a potential customer. Was looking for a leather sofa and went to the Burlington showroom. The salesperson was professionally polite but then she informed me that if I requested a quote on any item the price would increase the following day since "today is the last day of our sale." Who does this???? I have purchased a lot of furniture in my day and have never dealt with this weird, unprofessional and highly ineffective tactic. My experiences suggest that a quote is valid (in writing) for a period of time which takes into account that a sofa is not an impulse buy and oftentimes more than one family member has to try it out, usually with conflicting schedules. Ended up at Circle Furniture where they honored their quote for 14 days as is stated on the paperwork. Bought the ottoman too! read more

I cannot express the frustration in regards to the customer service this company does not provide. We placed an order with them in April with assurances we would receive delivery in early June. We had to pro-actively reach out the 1st time in June to find out the delivery was moved out a month. We followed up the 2nd time in July after being promised by the Boston Interiors rep that they were going to communicate if there were to be any issues with this revised date. Well-they never contacted us again and we are another month out. We have been given every excuse you can imagine for this poor performance, however the reality was when we purchased this product 3 months ago we were assured that this was something readily available as we communicated our need for a prompt delivery. Besides the main floor, they have a Clearance areas that has some really good deals on furniture for any room of the house. I saw many styles, from country to traditional to contemporary. So there's a recliner chair for $1,500 in the Stoughton warehouse next to the Stoughton showroom that I want to try before I buy. A reasonable request. But the chair is only in Boston Interior showroom stores in Burlington MA and a NH store. I live in RI south of Boston. The manager won't take it out of the Stoughton warehouse to let me try it. She says I have to go to one of those showroom stores north of Boston to try the chair. An unreasonable request. Talk about making it easy for your customer......NOT! I purchased a beautiful sofa less than 2 years ago. Within 6 months, the sofa seat material began to pill. Boston Interiors sent out a technician to "shave" the cushion and said that pilling is normal. The sofa now looks old, worn and shabby. We needed a couch for our cape home living room. Holy perfect on sale! The sake was typical and pleasant. No complaints-they even have snacks & water in the store! But the delivery was extraordinary! They were on time, soooo nice, set up the couch perfectly, put felt on feet, and actually adjusted the alligator clamp. They did not have to adjust the clamp as it was clicking but he wanted another few clicks... which I appreciate. A+ to our delivery team!!! I will definitely buy from Boston Interiors again! I recently purchased a Leo Push Back Recliner. I like Boston Interiors, and have purchased furniture from them before, but this chair is a disappointment . Although it looks good in my den and was reasonably priced, its cushions are way too soft to serve as an effective recliner. In fact, you fall into the chair, and if you have any trace of a back problem, this is definitely not a chair for you. I hope if they continue to offer this product, they will make improvements regarding the pillow-like cushions. One final point, I consider it off-putting that I was charged a $125:00 delivery fee. Just purchased my living room furniture here. I was debating between a set at Macy's that was on sale and a similiar set at Boston Interiors. I opted for Boston Interiors because they don't charge extra if you want to order the furniture in a different color than what is in stock. The fabric/color just has to be the same grade/quality. It even works on furniture that is on sale (btw, the are having a sale now!). I also received friendly (not overbearing) service. The salesperson was very helpful with finding furniture that would fit in my living room and also furniture that was to my comfort. She was very knowlegeable with the brands, cushion types, etc. I had also made visits to Jordan's and Bob's Discount Furniture. Jordan's had some nice pieces, but were a bit too pricey. The problem with Jordan's is that because they have "underprices", nothing ever goes on sale. I do recommend Jordan's for mattresses though -- they are much better than Mattress Discounters (but that is for another review). Although you might be able to find a good deal at Bob's, the styles tend to be out dated and you are limited to the color they have in stock...also you have to deal with annoying sales people that follow you everywhere. The one good thing about Bob's is the free candy. hehehe. read more

Not sure why the mediocre reviews. My husband and I shopped at a TON of furniture stores and this was HANDS DOWN the best experience. We started by calling the Natick location and they were SUPER HELPFUL and said if we did not want to wait we could just drive down to Stoughton and pick up the pieces we JUST ORDERED. The associates were nice and efficient - they have you sign papers and then you just pull up to the garage door and the guys wrap your stuff CAREFULLY and help you get it in your car. In and out. Made an order in store was informed it would be a few weeks even a month on the paper work. Delivery day no call no follow up. Shipping center is clueless on a date? Yes i had to call them. Sales associate charged that card quick enough first and foremost at the store then filled in the details. Update: Talked with a manager from the retail store and was offered a full refund. Not before being told I was uninformed or wrong about every aspect of my expectations. I called another store. No I called the number on the paper work listed as shipping and delivery center. I was only given an estimated delivery date. No i was given a scheduled delivery date listed on the paper work. Normally they hold back 30% restocking fee for special orders. meh, its alright, the whole draw to this one is the outlet in the back warehouse. we first tried to find ikea at 830 on a hot summer night, sans kid. we never did find it, but this was better cause we like discounts. so the store itself is the same jank they sell at all the other BI. we almost bought the gisele, which is not a supermodel, but really a couch. it was alright, not too puffy, comfy...its really hard to tell whats good when you cant sprawl out for 2 hours and drink a beer on it, but you can kinda get the gist. so in the warehouse at different times we saw exactly what we wanted, we knew it the moment we saw it. the only problem was the couch we both saw was just a sample, a one of, and didnt even have one of those names that BI likes to name its stuff. the only one of its kind anyway. i tried to bribe the saleswoman to let us take the couch we wanted, too ethical i guess. overall, the prices are average for the quality, shipping isnt free, nor will they combine with multiple purchases, so they only get 3 stars. read more

We've been very happy with our Boston Interior purchases but recently had a problem with a 4 year old ottoman that had a crushed top. I'd put my feet on it one day and it unfortunately just crumpled. I worked with Boston Interiors service department to arrange to bring in the ottoman and they had it repaired within a couple of days at no charge. Clearance section in the back! They switch out the furniture in their showroom after a while and it goes into the clearance section. It is final sale. If you see something you like make sure to tell someone right away in case someone takes it before you do. There could be a little bit of wear and tear but it's like 50% of the original price. read more

I would not recommend Boston interiors, they do not have visibility into their own supply chain, over-commit on delivery dates and miss significantly. You will read lots of reviews of how helpful the staff is in the store, and all of that is true. But they, when it comes time to actually have delivery vs what is in the store, is an entirely different experience. We are now post 4 months from when we purchased 2 leather chairs and cannot get a straight answer as to when they will arrive. read more

I have been a loyal Boston Interiors customer and have furnished most of my home with their furniture, but am incredibly disappointed in the way this issue has been handled. I reached out to Boston Interior for help with a rusted headboard (this is in a guest room and I clearly had not looked closely in a while and was STUNNED to see the rust!). I received an email from Amanda that let me know that the manufacturer warranty had expired long ago and that this has never been an issue for others. That was not helpful or supportive. For the record, my friend bought a nearly identical headboard from JC Penney a year before me for much less and her's looks great! I reached out to Amanda again asking for guidance on how to remove the rust (you can see I made an attempt in one pick but the rust began to bleed onto the fabric!). No response. I had even let her know I was in the market for a new living room set and desk, but that this experience gave me great pause. Amanda's lack of interest in helping me has soured me on Boston Interiors. Heading to Bassett, Circle Furniture, and Jordan's this weekend to look for new furniture since I want items that LAST and employees that are willing to help beyond the sale. read more

I purchased the Eastport table for our kitchen in November of 2019. The top of the table is very poor quality it looks like the finish has come off. Putting a dinner plate on it causes heat marks even with a placemat underneath. I contacted customer service and was told by Amanda that there is nothing they can do. But she will send me complimentary touch up paint. Unfortunately that will not fix the issues with this table. Over the last 5 years we have purchased several pieces and never had an issue. However after this we will not be buying anything else from BI. read more

I came here for the first time last weekend, July 17. I came for their warehouse sale, as I'd heard they had good deals, and was surprised to see how good the prices were. I found a sofa that I liked and managed to find a salesperson, even though they were slammed (it was packed there). I spoke with her about the sofa and she informed me of the delivery charges, and then put a tag on it for me when I said I wanted it. It was nice to be able to keep browsing without worrying about someone else getting the sofa. When I checked out, they presented me with several delivery options. I got 1-4 on a Saturday, and they arrived at my door at 1:05, which was great. The two delivery men were very nice, asking me where I wanted it and even showing me how properly move it later if I wanted to, and asking if I wanted to see it anywhere else. Considering it was 95+ degrees on Saturday, I would've understood if they were annoyed by any questions, but they were great. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I didn't get the delivery persons' names, but at the store I was helped by Kathy (I think). I had seen some negative reviews here and just wanted to chime in with my two cents. This past August my husband and I went to Boston Interiors hoping to find a sofa and a pull out couch for our living room. Upon arrival we were eagerly greeted by a staff member which was very helpful in narrowing down our choices that met our budget. We were told that it would be 6-8 weeks for our 84" sofa to arrive and 10 weeks for the matching sofa w pull out bed. it was longer than I had hoped but we really liked our choices so we paid for both and left. our first couch arrives on time and was setup by the delivery people and was in perfect condition. About 4 days before our second sofa arrives I get a phone call from Boston Interiors stating that my sofa wouldn't be in until the first week of DECEMBER!!! Needless to say I was not happy but they would not cancel the order without charging me about 10% or so of the total order. So along comes the end of November and I am getting excited to finally have my second sofa here and they call me the day before thanksgiving to schedule the delivery and because they only deliver to this area every other week I have to wait an additional week tog et my sofa. the quality and ins tore experience was better than some places but their customer service is horrible..I got no apology, discount, or anything from them. Abosulte terrible customer service. We went in to purchase a sofa for over $1500 which was the wrong color when deliver not to mention it did not fit into our condo. They failed to explain to us that they could come measure our entrances before. We had to find that out from the independently contracted delivery men. We then called customer service and received a rude store manager who would not compromise on a refund or replacement. They said very rudely that all we could do was have it returned for a 30% loss on the price we paid and we could only get store credit. My experience at Boston Interiors was terrible all the way around. I paid for the measuring service to ensure that the sectional we wanted would fit through the narrow doorways that we have. The crew showed up and told me -oh yeah the sectional will fit. I suggested that they measure it to be sure. After which they replied that they didn't have a measuring tape. So I had paid for a measuring service with no measuring tape! Luckily, I had one that the construction crew had left behind in my then vacant house. Not surprisingly the eyeball measuring was wrong and the sectional would not fit through the doorways. Not even an apology or refund of my fee when I went back to the store to pick a new sofa and told them of the pitiful measuring service. Fast forward a few months and the sofa has held up terribly. Two years later it looks worse than my 10 year old Ethan Allen sofa that I use everyday. The BI one gets used twice a month at most! A friend suggested I call the BI store for a claim on the warranty. What a joke. The warranty was a year long - -and the replacement cushions cost $840! No thank you. Terrible customer service. Great couch but TERRIBLE customer service. Ordered a couch and had an easy pick up. Went to the Stoughton location on 11/30 thinking the couch had all the correct cushions- it did not! It had 2 center back cushions and only 1 T cushion! Was told that this couch was no longer in stock (it was the model in the showroom, didn't have anything changes) and that they would not have any more for 4 weeks. They also said they would not ship the cushion and we would have to go back and pick it up. After battling that, they said they would send the cushion- were never really that apologetic about the issue though, I basically made her UPS the cushion. The manager did follow up and call after about 5 weeks. I was surprised! But THEN when I saw she did not send the entire cushion just the cushion case for the other T pillow I lost it! What do they think the middle cushion pillow will look good on a T case?! Oh and not to mention that I sent them pictures of what we needed too!! Ugh so frustrating, not helpful, and make you do all the work when it's them who screw up! read more

One year in to owning a sectional and chair from here and so far so good. I had something that was less than a year old from Jordan's before and was not pleased at all so the comparison alone makes me happy with Boston Interiors. I have them come and measure before I ordered and ended up having to pay a little more for a 3 piece sectional rather than 2, so it could fit into our place. I appreciated that they recommended this. The couch is awesome and the fabric is great. The chair is okay, it's some kind of linen-y fabric, it's honestly kind of itchy and doesn't seem like it's going to hold up that well and it was pretty pricey but only time will tell and that was my own bad choice, I do however think they shouldn't stock things in fabric like that, but oh well. If anything falls apart I will re-rate my posting. So far I would buy from here again and am happy with my purchase. read more

I purchased a Brooke slip cover sofa and love seat with the down blend cushions about a 16 months ago... nothing but problems. So sad after spending over $4,000 on the set. - The center cushion of the sofa flattened out within weeks- they sent a replacement and had it "installed." The installer told me that these cushions must be "fluffed vigorously" every few days to maintain its shape and fluffiness... who does that? The replacement cushion flattened out just as quickly as the first one. - I ordered a custom slip cover that I could machine wash- it faded out unevenly after the first washing. I emailed and sent pics of the damage from the washing machine- was told that it was my fault and should have had them dry-cleaned... after explaining that I specifically ordered the machine washable fabric, I was told that I should have been more careful with washing... hmmm. I asked for a replacement cover and was told that they would cover 50% of the cost... seriously... After much discussion, it was agreed that they would send along a new one. The same "installer" came and I chose not to change the cover at this time... I'll wait until the other needs to be cleaned again. - The front feet of the sofa with the casters are very pretty- but they bend because of the incorrect angle of the caster- the weight of the sofa/people on the sofa does not go through the caster directly... it is bizarre. The installer mentioned that this was poor design... I did get a set of front feet though (no extra charge)- less pretty but much more functional. Now 16 months later, I wish I had purchased something different... I hate the flat cushions and the constant need for fluffing, the escaping feathers and shifting of pillows off of the couch. For a "lived-in" living room, I would definitely recommend something different - especially if you want a fluffy, "low-maintenance" sofa. read more

This review has to do with the upholstery sold at Boston Interiors. I have had no problems with the wood furniture I've bought there, but the upholstery is a totally different story. I purchased a $3500.00 sectional there, only to have the chenille upholstery show very visible crushing within days. They replaced the sectional, to their credit, but the new upholstery did the same thing within days again. Unbelievably, they told me they would replace the sectional again - IF I chose a different upholstery. My intention was to upgrade to the most expensive line to make sure nothing like that happened again, but I found I was limited to a very small selection of fabrics on this particular sectional. I chose another - a different polyester fabric - and I've had it for about 3 months now and I have just noticed it is pilling! After 3 months! Needless to say, they have made an effort to be accomodating - but in all honesty, why don't they just carry better fabric? I will never purchase an item there again. Although I haven't had any problems with the wood pieces I've bought, I'm just a little leery of the entire business at this point. Their quality control seems way off. read more

Absolutely love this Boston Interiors! The showroom is a bit small..But, they do have a discounted room out back and I've found some pretty amazing items in there! I've purchased my living room set, coffee tables and entertainment set there! People always compliment all of them. I love their furniture...The sales people are always very helpful, too! read more

Update- Paul from service came out and listened to what we said about the squeaking issue and investigated to try to identify and solve why it was happening.
