Sure, most things are five bucks or less, but the quality and selection are much better, true you get what you paid for. They've got the latest trends and snacks, making it a fun place for teens to shop. You never know what you'll find and even some pretty cool home goods. I usually like to stop by before heading to the movies to grab snacks but end up buying a bunch of weird stuff that are an amusement for the holidays. I love this place. Anywhere where you can buy Skybars gets a star just for that, in my book! Everything in the store is $5 or below, hence the name! The candy selection is ah-maz-ing. Did you really hear me? AH-MAZ-ING. Every Haribo candy, every Hershey candy, double Snickers, Lemony Snickets, every Reese's candy bar that exists, Chinese Panda Cookies . . . stuff you never saw before! The selection of beauty items and stationery items is pretty good, as is the odd & ends of things you really need (school supplies, flip flops, cute inexpensive clothing) you just didn't know until you got there! This is such an amazing store! They have tons of stuff that cost way less than other stores. They have cute, trendy or manly water bottles, and they cost way less than for example: Walmart or Icing. They have such a variety of items that everyone will love! They also have beautiful high quality fake nails for 4 dollars. I did have a few instances with customer service, but they seem pretty professional. I totally recommend this store to everyone! read more

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. The prices and selection of products definitely saved me this Christmas as I did not have much money this year. I purchased a nice amount of gifts for 5 people for under $80 which is great! However, I ended up very frustrated while shopping because of the staff. As if the store wasn't already crowded enough, the workers made it even more difficult to shop around, especially this one girl staying in my way for up to 5 minutes organizing the section I was looking at. It was absolutely unnecessary the way they got in the way of my shopping, she could have worked on any other section around me, but instead chose to get right in my way, CLEARLY being an inconvenience and blocking me from looking at the wall I was shopping from. I thought it was very rude, and I'm not easy to displease. I felt she knew that she was in my way but just didn't care at all, and it's not like what she was doing was immediately necessary in that 4ft of space we were in.. and then she did it again in a different section, as well as a couple other employees who were a bit guilty of it. If it happens again maybe I should directly make a suggestion they address their employees to not BLATANTLY get in the way of a customer's shopping experience. They will absolutely lose money, not everybody is gonna stand there for 5 minutes trying to shop around such a ridiculous inconvenience. If it were any other time I wouldn't have boughten anything, because I wouldn't deal with someone blocking me from shopping like they did. read more

Average, fine Five Below location. Didn't have a terrible experience, yet nothing WOWED me. Staff seemed friendly and overall, the store was uncrowded, clean, and organized. They didn't have a few items I was looking for, but overall it was a good stop. So much better than the terrible Five Below in Stoughton. Located in the Braintree Marketplace off Route 3 in Braintree. 4 stars. UPDATE: 12/20 : Came in yesterday, Saturday Dec. 19, and there was a 13 person line, with only 2 registers open. Plus, I only came in for a return, and they said I still needed to wait. Bye bye, I won't be returning here. Dedham Five Below is SO much better (and more practical in knowing on Saturdays all checkout lanes should be open. Additionally, at checkout the exchange I wanted to make, the employee said she'd do "just this once", while I continually get even exchanges without a question in Dedham. Store still seemed very clean and organized, but the waiting and congestion of the entire right side of the store took away from everything. Heard a GREAT buzz surrounding this 'low cost' establishment! I came in with wide eyes expecting to enter an emporium of affordable gifts & stocking stuffers for the masses. While the price is right! Many of the insignificant items do not have prices on them & resolve to be overpriced for what it actually is (once you price check at the register); such as a very small pack of stickers for $3 - $4...?really...for one row of stickers? WHAT. Don't get me wrong, there is a wide variety of items to choose from, like candy to slippers, numerous phone accessories to sunglasses, fun lapel pins to a small selection of toys. Just be weary of the many items not marked with prices. Going in, have somewhat of a plan/list & be wise in not getting caught up in the "five below" hype, in the end you can overexert your budget. Also, wish that their toy selection was bigger & it wouldn't hurt if they'd focus more on adult & children 'gifting' items (such as fun mugs, popular toys/trinkets, keepsakes, desk items, etc. I would not deter anyone from visiting this establishment, as it IS a great place to pick up a quick last minute gift (guess I was expecting a wider variety). you know what I need? art supplies, socks and an insane candy selection and I want to spend less than $30 and leave with bags of all these things. The store is clean and well kept, the staff is non obtrusive and really is just here to clean up and check you out. Nothing outstanding but also nothing bad. Place was clean, organized. Staff was a bit slow, but I'm sure they're not getting paid enough to care. My biggest issue is the other shoppers. Total jerks! I was just at this location and the employee on duty was incredible rude and disrespectful. I was standing in the designated line for checking out when another customer went up to the open register to purchase his items. I politely told him that the line was formed behind me (and several others). He started to walk towards the back of the line when the employee told him he didn't have to go anywhere and she would take him next, even though we were waiting. Another employee came to open a register and when she started to ring up my purchase she asked me how I was and I told her I was unhappy with her coworker. The employee that caused the irritating situation told me that she was the employee and could do what she wanted. When I asked for the manager's name (from the employee waiting on me) the other, rude employee piped up and said "Manny" and then turned to her current customer and told him (so I could hear) that he was her cousin and nothing would happen to her )if I chose to follow up with the manager). I have written to corporate to show my dissatisfaction and I am awaiting a response. read more
