Very pleasant shopping here today, we stopped in because we asked the GPS for a "grocery store" and it recommended Target. It's not a "SuperTarget" but they do have groceries here including some dairy, some produce and a bunch of frozen plus aisles of dry/canned/boxed goods. It took some searching to find what I wanted - V8 - but I managed to find a multi-pack that Mrs. K. was wanting. And while here, I picked up some cashews and some chips for the road. Seems like Target is doing well. Store seems busy and shelves are full and sale prices are all over the store! Since i consider myself an excellent shopper and know when an item is reasonable to purchase I try to make sure I take advantage of the product listed! Today I noticed some items that family can use and it came along with a $5 Gift Card if you purchased 3, so I did I looked at the shelf price and it was posted $8.99! So, I went to pay my item and was very quiet at the checkout and noticed that my receipt had the items at $9.99. But, I remembered it was $8.99 on the shelve! I went to Customer Service and pointed the discrepancy and showed her the photo I took to verify the amount! She was friendly and quickly gave me the difference plus tax! BOTTOM LINE.....everyone should always check their receipts even though the shelve says one amount, scanning might be higher! Know what your buying and it's cost! If I did not check I would have lost over $3.00 to Target! read more

So, this Target is connected to the South Shore Plaza Mall, in Braintree! You can enter through the mall side by either taking an escalator down or by elevator. They also have other entrances from the parking lots, where you can enter from outside. I've always appreciated the convenience of having this Target right here in the mall. It's great for picking up some snacks, groceries, Ulta Makeup, school supplies, devices and gadgets, beach items, and more. It's really a one stop shop kind of place & I love that. They house a Starbucks in here as well, which is now the only Starbucks at the mall since they got rid of the kiosk one by Macy's. I will say, since it is at the mall, it's definitely got a lot of foot traffic. With this being said, I have been trying to get some Fruit Riot frozen sour mangoes for a minute now & the app always says they have it in stock here BUT I can never find it in the freezers. When I ask an associate for assistance with locating the product, it is also shown on their end that they have it. However, even after checking their inventory in the back, they don't have it unfortunately. I wish it could be more accurate. read more

I called literally every department and could get no one to pick up. I wanted to double check their dressing rooms would be open- I was coming in at 7. Really, I shouldn't even have to check, the dressing rooms should be open three full hours before close, but target has been consistently cheapening their standard of service for years. Lo and behold, the dressing rooms are closed. I still have no clue what time they are open until, as there was no signage anywhere indicating that. If you want to actually try on the clothing you're buying I wouldn't count on this store. read more

Honestly, I've never had a single issue here. I know what i came to get, i walk in and go to the said areas needed scoop my items and head to self checkout. Easy peasy. Parking is always easy as it's at SSP so there's literally parking all around the plaza. You can enter from their own upper or main level entrances or from inside the mall. I'm usually here for a quick run for cleaning supplies, hygiene products, juice/milk if already at mall, snacks etc. They have about 4 aisles of special occasion cards (birthdays weddings etc) and also gift packaging, bags, stuffing paper ribbons etc. They also have a large space so i never feel crammed whenever i shop here. They also have a small floral area, some with flowers and accompanying greenery already premade for decent price and some stock for you to piece together your own. Now there isn't a florist on here nor a station really to build it but it's there when you are in need (by the self checkout main entrance. Occasionally you may need a quick article of clothing socks or underwear, they also have all that for whomever may need it. Trading cards at this location mainly pokemon sets and magic that i saw. The sports cards seem a bit lacking outside couple blasters. (Then again maybe I'm just never there on drop day and the hunters buy them all up already! read more

The worst Target I've been in. I was visiting the Boston Massachusetts area for business and needed some items for the week so I decided to visit this Target. As I walked in, it seemed like any other Target I've been in, except when I looked closer I started to notice the shelves were very scarce. The grocery section looked like they haven't stocked in a while. It reminded me of the beginning of Covid where you couldn't find anything. The fruit section was pretty empty. I couldn't find any basic fruits, like bananas, berries, etc. This was the main reason for my visit so I was a little frustrated. Since I couldn't find any fruit, I moved on to the other items I needed. I get to the water bottle section and there were more empty shelves. Maybe only 4 packs of water left in this huge area for water. This pattern continued for the next few items I needed. I ended up leaving the store pretty empty-handed. Maybe this was a one off situation but I won't be coming back next time. Disappointing. read more

this review is for the Starbucks in the target. I find it crazy how the two girls with braids dark hair,braids, always get away with closing early. They have turned away multiple customers just because they want to go home early. It will be 30 minutes before closing time and they will be sending away customers. They just sit there talking on their phones. This is just crazy and something needs to be done. read more

Just witnessed a group of boys get kicked out for touching a ball in the sports aisle. Good on the security honestly. If I saw a group like that, wearing sports attire and walking to the sports aisle, I too would immediately assume wrongdoing. Good on the security officer for his quick thinking and wit. Upon their questioning, I heard the officer remain calm with the pestered boys, offering them a quick solution to their plight. "Just come back tomorrow" he said calmly to them. Ha! I didn't know target had such hard working employees. The kind that would really give you the shirt off their backs. Certainly not the kind who irrationally assume that every young man of a certain skin tone is up to no good! No, certainly not the kind to offer no explanation as to why such a drastic measure was being done! Well done target, I'm proud. read more

Everyone working security/loss prevention were all congregated towards the back of the store gossiping and I over heard an employee by the name of Sonja (or something similar) cussing while I was with my children... very professional I've had bad experiences at this same exact location in the past as well. Kind of crazy that the store stays open until 10pm but everything in the store kind of shuts down at 7:30pm. In store Starbucks - closed at 7:30pm. Self checkout lanes - closed at 7:30pm. Electronics department - closed at 7:30pm. Self checkout closing at 7:30pm is probably the worse of all as this causes extremely long lines to build up at the only 3 registers that the store decides to leave open after 7:30pm. Always under staffed. Always have the changing rooms closed. My partner asked if the dressing rooms were closed and they responded no. I proceeded to get a few clothes and come back. Not even five minutes later I go ask if I can try on the clothes and the say no. I said that they told my partner only a few minutes ago that they were open, they proceeded to act like they have no idea what I am talking about and say no again then just walk away? ... this has been a constant with the customer service here. read more

Love the location of this Target. Been coming here at least once a week. It could be a hassle trying to find the right entrance when you park at the South Shore parking lot. Somehow the mall entrance(escalator) door isn't open on weekends. But, the main entrance near the Nordstrom is always open on a side note. Pick up order is near the Starbucks too. What I love about this Target, really impresses with frozen meal options. They have plenty of vegan options. Also, well stocked yogurt selection. Associates are very helpful if you need to help finding stuff. But, I like pick up options if it is available if you have trouble finding the items that you are looking for at the store. The floor staff are always amazing, however managers are horrible. They will talk down to and admonish staff on the floor. They chronically understaff the location, the employees are always exhausted and overworked. I've seen staff members break down crying on the floor. Management DOES NOT CARE. In the last few months I have to admit Ive been a Walmart Whore because somewhere in my mind I swore they were cheaper than Target, but I went to two different Targets last week (this one being one of them) and there was soo much on Clearance (and that might be from left over Xmas) but I found some great deals & it is always a little cleaner & nice than Walmart... So this Target is HUGE & not to mention connected to the mall, just unfortunatley way down the other end from the stores I frequent... But I will be back to this location. The dressing rooms close at 6pm, even when the store closes at 10pm. So if you need to work a full-time job and also buy a bathing suit, this is not the store for you. This review doubles a PSA since there's no information posted anywhere about the dressing rooms closing four hours before the store closes. Also, the whole store is an absolute mess. Cashier neglected to put one of my purchased items in the bag. Noticed it was missing when I got home. Tried for HOURS to call the store. Impossible to reach anyone by phone. No matter what option you choose from the automated menu it rings and rings then cuts you off. By the time I can get back there in person I'm sure they'll have no idea and I'll never get that item. I have the receipt but can't prove I didn't take everything on there home. Just FRUSTRATING. Never loved this Target. Now I'll certainly think twice before going again. The "Mall" Target. Ugh. Key Word for entire review "Ugh." Now I should first say that I have only been to this store a few times and that I feel the staff are kind and the location is very convenient. But other than that, this really is NOT one of the better Target stores. At all. Specifically, this store's layout and design is terrible. Everything is not categorized correctly, at least how I think Target stores should be laid out, like most of the other stores including the Stoughton & Westwood stores. Plus, the selection of items is MUCH poorer than Walmart, maybe not the Quincy Walmart, closest to this store, yet other Walmarts have lots more, and my local store has a deli, produce, and other food sections as well as an actual paint department that this store does not have. For the other sections, like storage, have the same issues. They run out of items quickly because there is not many of each type the store is supposed to carry, and they didn't even carry some of the storage bin sets that the of the other stores consistently have and carry. Overall, this store is very disappointing to me as a shopper. It does get 2 stars, for extreme convenience for being in the mall as well as having its own parking lot and entrance, as well as being a place in the mall to get groceries and other essentials, even if it doesn't have everything the other Target's have. (Yet personally, I would rather have an actual grocery store in the mall, like how Wegmans is coming to the Natick Mall!) All in all, 2 star store. Fine for small, small convenient purchases, but or BIG shoppings, or SPECIFIC items the other locations (Westwood, Stoughton) are your best bet (or Walmart...) read more

Consistently out of stock items. The food section has gotten very bad in terms of item availability. I would not recommend coming here for groceries as you'll end up having to go to another store just to complete your list. There is next to nothing except perishables available. read more

Target uses their website to tell bold faced lies to consumers regarding what is in stock and at what stores. The Braintree location was the beginning of a wild goose chase for an item I wanted to buy as a Christmas present which was shown as in stock at multiple stores. In the Braintree location I was told by the website precisely where in the store the item would be, Aisle E32, but the site did not give me the option to buy online and hold for in store pickup. I hustled over to the store and found that aisle all but empty. Probably the worst part of my shopping experience was the indifferent attitude of the store associates who informed me that at this time of year I can't possibly expect their inventory to be accurate on the web site and that I was welcome to try other Target stores myself but they would not be able to use their handheld inventory devices to assist me in tracking down my item. While I don't work in retail myself, these devices appear to be very similar to the Surface Visibility handhelds that I use in my job managing logistical transportation across a nationwide distribution network. I promise you, these devices ABSOLUTELY have the technological capacity to do exactly what I asked the callous store associate to do. I further promise you that, because we do not live in the year 1987, computers can in fact track inventory across a chain's multiple locations in real time at this point. Assuming you have a store associate who gives a faint flying fig about providing good customer service. I actually found the item "in stock" at another Target location, and this time was able to "buy" the item with my credit card online and got a confirmation number and a text from my credit card issuer confirming the charge. About 3/4 of my way to the other location I got an email update from Target admitting they lied to me yet again and did not in fact have my item in stock. My attempts to use Target's web site to make any kind of arrangement to have the item shipped to my home were also fruitless because Target's web implementation appears to put the customer into an endless loop of picking shipping options and then returning the customer to the first screen they started the process upon. Let me make this abundantly clear. I WOULD NOT SHOP AT TARGET AGAIN IF I HAD STAGE FOUR CANCER AND THEY WERE THE EXCLUSIVE RETAILER FOR THE CURE. Between the callous indifference of their staff, the piss-poor implementation of their web site and inventory tracking system, and the utter inability to reach anyone at a store or Corporate by phone, I have never in my life felt so jerked around and utterly uncared about by any entity I have ever done business with. read more

One of my favorite Targets in the area! They have a Starbucks inside! Bonus points! This Target is very organized considering it is inside the mall and there is tons of foot traffic. I feel though as if their Dollar Spot doesn't as much items as other locations. They offer a pharmacy and a small produce section. You can park in the lot or the covered parking garage. They always have amazing mark downs!!! You can enter from inside the mall or the external parking lots. read more

I love this location it's right in the mall and it's so convenient for me!! They always have things in stock and I can spend hours here honestly! The workers are so nice and helpful. The food court is pretty clean and plenty of tables. Sometimes there aren't as many cashiers open which then the lines start to get long but other than that it's a great location! read more

Oh the simple joys in life. One of them is a brand spanking new Target that no one seems to know about in the back of the Braintree Mall!! This place just opened weeks ago and is set up different than most and has a nice little Starbucks at the entrance but being new is meticulously clean and spotless!! I couldn't believe how shiny the floors were and how everything was arranged in an orderly fashion. I was so used to going to Watertown or Framingham and dealing with the crowds and the disarray of products on the floors, I forgot how nice Target really is. You will really enjoy this Target since you can knock out some of your grocery shopping here as well since they have a frozen food and even a produce and dairy section with better selections than Roche Brothers!! This new Target is in fact awesome. it's huge. I have to make a conscious effort to stay away after two pricey trips. It's not too much farther from the city than South Bay, has groceries, and is attached to a good mall, so you kill many birds with one stone. The thing you have to remember is that if you are a Target addict like me that buys everything, you should probably park near Target and not on the other end of the mall. read more

I like this Target. Very little drama, although I once saw a staff member kick out a group of teens she was chasing and yelling she'd call the cops. Usually well-stocked. Sometimes food items are left with sale signs when no longer ringing up and I have twice found expired food but usually we good. Customer service seems competent and I enjoy two of the cashiers. One of them has funky colored hair and she's perpetually cheerful. I almost want to Knock off a star for this one guy.. he wears sunglasses 24/7 and can regularly be found outside the store in the parking garage with all 4 doors to his car open and blaring music just makin his own music video sayin to the world, hey look at me! ... Ahhhh.. new store smell!!! I am thrilled that Target opened up at SSP so I can skip Walmart. They have a little bit of everything. Even 19 cents bananas! On my first visit, I got myself some decent drapes. The selection is much better than Walmart in both variety and quality. Of course, there's a price to pay for that. Didn't know South Shore Plaza had Target albeit I have not been to SSP for a couple years. Very spacious, very clean, and very confusing to get around. They have their own little cafe near the registry which was a pleasant resting spot while the wife went shopping around. I did notice this Target had a groceries section with produce which is a plus I guess. Overall, it's a very nice addition to South Shore Plaza. This Target, as others have stated, has really just about everything...that with its prices, convenient location in Braintree, and selection is decent. It is not officially a "Target Greatland" but Im not sure why. It has a lot of sqaure footage and pretty much every merchandise department that any other Target would have. I was so used to going to the Target at South Bay that when this location opened up it felt like I'd entered Target Heaven. This "newer" location is so much closer and is attached to my favorite mall. Now I really can get anything at South Shore with this new Target addition. Let's talk groceries.. would you buy groceries at Target?? Well guess what.. I did and it was awesome. They have fresh fruits, vegetables along with a huge selection of frozen and refrigerated items. Bread and cereal isles. This is a one-stop shop Target. When I step in.. I usually stop at the Starbucks to load up on some caffeine. I need the energy to walk around the store and then some at the mall. The store so far has been pretty clean and stocked up. I don't know how long that will last but so far so good. I am so thrilled that this Target is finally open. It is located in the South Shore Plaza right next to the new Nordstrom. (Now, I don't have to drive down Rt. 24 or head to South Bay in Boston!) I believe the store just opened today, so I stopped in to see what they had. I was so excited that they have a FRESH grocery department! Other Target stores I have seen only carry canned, frozen, or dry goods, but here you can get bananas, grapes, strawberries, broccoli, potatoes, apples, etc... (Bananas were $0.19 apiece, red grapes were $2.49 for a 2-lb. box, and strawberries were only $1.49/lb!) They also have fresh meats, cold cuts, ready made sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads! Great if you need to make school lunch for the kids, or you're just hungry after shopping at the mall all day. :P The rest of the store seems like a typical Target. Love the shopping carts, they ride like small red Cadillacs and can hold as much cargo as one. There are plenty of employees around to help you find something. There is also a small cafe near the front door. The store was very very busy when I visited, but I didn't have to wait in line to check out, so that made me happy. I there is one thing I am passionate about it is target. I have been driving to every Target possible for about 10 years now. Living in Quincy driving the distance to Taunton was annoying but so worth it, then Kingston, Dorchester, Stoughton, and Hanover. I (as you can imagine) was counting down the days until B-tree opened, and when then finally did I was soo excited!! My first trip there was eh ok, very crowded with antsy costomers, and I felt the store was very cramped. I'm not a fan of the lay out, but clearly they are trying to fit as much as their targetey goodness as they can into their small space. However, my second visit was kind of amazing. The store was dead, there were team members with their red shirts everywhere offering their assistance. I dropped off a prescription to take advantage of the $4 generic program and the pharmacist was f*ing FANTASTIC!! She not only was super smart, but clearly interested in my well being, and offered superior customer service. I have NEVER been treated so well in any CVS or other drugstore, or actually any place ever. She really rocks at her job, and I recommend that everyone who likes being treated with respect and kindness brings their prescriptions to her. **if you use your target card you get 5%off your prescriptions and the rest of your order, ***double bonus*** if you fill 5 rx's then you get an additional 5% off your shopping order!! read more

I like this Target, but I like pretty much all of them. I like the look & feel of the store. They layout is pleasant to the eyes, and never looks like a grungy, dingy warehouse. They have beautiful photographs on the walls, lovely red painted walls, and a pleasant grocery section. I always feel like I want to buy EVERYTHING there. I've bought all kinds of products in Target. I'd rather shop at Target than Walmart, and the workers at Target never look like they've been overworked like slaves, like at Walmart which often hurts me to look at them because they seem to be in so much suffering & misery.
