Stopped into Burlington Coat Factory in Braintree yesterday. This location is not impressive whatsoever. It has some good clothes, but otherwise, terrible home section and poor customer service.
Before 11/27/15 I had never been into a Burlington Coat Factory. On Black Friday, 11/27, I ventured to Burlington Coat Factory on the Bellingham MA / Woonsocket RI state line. Yesterday, 12/17, I visited the Braintree location. There is a HUGE difference in the stores. This is by far the less appealing location.
I thought Burlington Coat was JUST like Marshalls or TJ Maxx, yet the Woonsocket location persuaded me into believing and experiencing a store that was huge, had great prices, and a much larger stock than Marshalls or TJ's, with extremely great customer service. This location is more like a run down Marshalls or TJ Maxx, not living up to the standard of Woonsocket. I walked in and yes, the checkout situation (one line for all of the registers), but the line was out of the queue and only 5 registers out of the 13 were open. It's a week before Christmas (!!!!!) 4 registers isn't enough for a busy Thursday afternoon, Burlington Coat!!! Plan ahead, it seems you planned your hours, so the store would be open until midnight, just forgot to plan out cashiers, ugh! I visited the Woonsocket location on BLACK FRIDAY and there was NO line whatsoever, in comparison to the "out of queue" line at the Braintree store. Additionally, this store is much smaller than Woonsocket and doesn't provide nearly the selection they do (the home section was un-comparable to that of Woonsocket's Burlington Coat). The clothing section was average, yet also not nearly as great as the other store. I wish I got a chance to look around a bit more, but an unexpected event caused in not having more than 15 minutes in the store. I may come back just to finish my search for "gems".... or I'll sample the Natick store.
Convenient, yet I probably won't be returning. My suggestion: visit other stores in the area, and if you're ever around Woonsocket RI stop in that Burlington Coat. Hopefully, Burlington opens some new stores..... and re-thinks this "Meh" location. 2 stars. read more
