Cleaner and much more organized than any other Tj Maxx I've been to. I always leave with a carriage full!

The prices here are always fantastic and they have the runway section of ultra designer brands.

It's a Target, right? So you know what to expect: go in for Tilex and a roll of Certs, walk out…read more$200 poorer. I'm not sure if a review explaining a Target will be helpful to anyone, because either (a) you're a Target superfan, or (b) you haven't been born yet, and thus unable to experience a Target. In which case, diapers and formula are by electronics. I write this review as a desperate plea to management: your grocery section is an utter disaster. Clothing, housewares, health and beauty - these are all perfectly acceptable. But the part that makes you Super is a mess: improperly placed inventory and subsequent price confusion, extremely outdated perishables (one time, I bore witness to an entire shelf of expired mayo bottles that had heterogeneously separated they'd been untouched for so long), barren sections and conversely, blocked off aisles from stockers creating literal blockades during prime shopping time... The list goes on. I've tried bringing it up nearly every visit with a separate basket featuring the latest expired goods from an unsellable scavenger hunt, but nothing seems to change. Cashiers are great. Especially Red (whose name I don't know), a spry and spritely auburn haired gal in her silver years running on 25 year old energy. She's an absolute delight. Grocery is a 1.5, the rest is a 4. Please, please fix it!

Okay, so while it's not where I'd generally find myself shoe-shopping on a Saturday morning, I took…read moremy mother to New England Comfort Shoes .to find a pair of comfy shoes for her . First of all, the customer service factor was through the roof. We were the only customers for about 15 minutes. During that time one of the owners (a genuinely charming husband-and wife team) measured her foot, suggested styles she might like and spoke knowledgeably about - what else? comfortable shoes! Once the line of customers started rolling in, he and his wife handled each person with care and courtesy. I was surprised at how many people are out looking for what `are - let's be frank - old lady shoes. I was also surprised at how many times I looked at a style and said, "I'd actually wear that one!" Propet, Asics, New Balance, Aetrex, Drew, Foamtreads - you name it, they have a comfortable shoe for men & women in every size from the narrowest to widest. Dressy, casual, running and walking shoes are all here. Granted, we're talking mostly shades of black, brown or cream but still if your feet are looking to be cushioned, cossetted or float along - go here! They will get down on the floor like shoe people used to do, measure for your exact sze, regardless of what you THINK it is, and find you a pair of shoes to fit perfectly. We spent 90 minutes while Mum tried on pair after pair, walked around the store and debated the merits of brown vs. brown vs cognac vs. brown. They were patient, pleasant and encouraged her to take her time!! Have you been to a retail environment lately where (1) a person wanted to help you, (2) was patient and understanding, (3) didn't leave you to work things out for yourself? The back wall was lined with all the orthotics you could want to make your shoe feel perfect. I fondled the pretty laces longer than I really should have and almost bought a pair of woven fabric oxfords that, in my defense you really have to see to appreciate. I'm not going to be here every week, but we walked out with exactly one pair of shoes that aren't ugly, are casual and sporty-looking, weren't overpriced and are most definitely comfortable. These are professional shoe peeps who know their styles and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer for life. Go here and feel appreciated!

I had the pleasure of taking my elderly mother to shop at NE Comfort Shoes today. Tom (co-owner, I…read morebelieve) spent over an hour trying to find a footwear solution for my (anxious) mom's problematic feet. Tom was patient, knowledgeable, and gracious. He tried fitting my mother with multiple shoe brands and models until he found a promising solution. One would be hard pressed to find such exemplary customer service at any other retailer in MA, if not the country! I wholeheartedly recommend NE Comfort Shoes.

Look... Walmart is not supposed to be, or provide a shopping "experience". You could say that about…read moreother department stores, and maybe even Target, not here. They have almost everything under the sun, but the idea is to buy it, pay, and leave. With that said, not all Walmarts are created equal, and this one falls somewhere in the middle, hence the three stars. There isn't a plethora of employees out and about, but I've not had a negative interaction. A handful of people have had better days, but for the most part, our interactions have been pleasant, and if someone didn't have an answer, they would find out. Furthermore, Walmart is cheap! Some staples like eggs, milk, cheese may be cheaper than the Stoppy right next door. If you find you buy these things on the regular, do take a look at the prices, a couple extra bucks saved definitely doesn't hurt. Likewise, don't overlook the pharmacy. After my insurance decided to no longer cover my medication, and a different pharmacy wanted an arm and a leg, Walmart came through. Sure, it's not open 24 hours, but you can get your meds at prices cheaper than most. (though, in the hopes of saving you a couple bucks, if you have a Costco or BJ's membership, as them their rates). In terms of negatives: The store is organized a bit funny, with mailing envelopes being quite close to bicycles! On the one hand, I realize there is only so much that can be done when you carry everything under the sun. On the other, look to what Target did in keeping all sporting goods in one area as opposed to two. Second, I feel as though the displays could be a little tidier. Items are stocked for the most part, but having them arranged a bit nicer would not hurt. Finally, while they do have four self-scan registers because there are not a whole lot of regular registers open, lines can get a little on the long side. I've heard someone describe Walmart as a blue Target. Well, these stores couldn't pass as twins, maybe siblings (but maybe), but definitely cousins.
