Target (for some pronounced tar-jay) is a sink hole of spending for me. It must be the lighting and my love of the color red that makes me want to purchase everything. I am a sucker for good marketing and they do it right. This time I went in for a humidifier because I am old enough to know that I need a humidifier now and I found an amazing one for $13 in their clearance row. I also found a wood holder for our fire place, doggie treats, breath mints you can't find anywhere else, soap and a million other little things that made their way into my cart. I don't walk out before spending $100, which is not a goal as much as a mandate. The only downside to this Target is that there is no Starbucks inside because what I really need is more caffeine for these excursions... ;) read more

If you want to help a business with awful customer service, this is your store. The manager who "helped us" treated us with such disrespect. Instead of being helpful and explaining stuff to us, she was rude and sarcastic with us. When we told her she was being rude she walked away and said "Okay, have a good night". Don't help a business who doesn't know how to treat their customers. read more

This is an ok Target I go there because it's the closest one to me. They do carry a lot of stuff and the staff is friendly and helps if needed. My complaints are because the entrance is pushed all the way to the left side of the building and the parking lot is awkward near the entrance it makes the parking situation a little crazy. Also the way this Target is step up makes it feel not very organized with a flow that makes sense. Especially the pharmacy/ personal care section it makes it hard to find things. The setup is a little weird here, and there's only one entrance, like at the front corner. I don't know, it's just a bit odd. Also, I'm used to my Super-Target, so this one seemed a bit small to me. Overall, I guess I can't really complain - they had everything I needed (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Qtips, etc...). But there's just something "off" about this location. I'd still come here again if I were in the neighborhood and needed something, as opposed to say, Wal-Mart (yuck). read more

Not the best shopping experience I've ever had at a Target store. To date, this location really lacks in the organization department. Every department I visited today; $1 Spot, women's clothing and shoes were so messy. So messy that I immediately walked right out of the area and on to the next thing I needed. I had a gift card to use and this location is the closest to my house. Cashier was super unfriendly today, unlike my last visit. Prefer Super Target, but there just isn't one convenient to my home. I'm DONE with this Target. I've shopped here for years and watched it deteriorate. The only reason I went today was because I had a gift card. I always park in the angled parking lot alongside the store on Thomas. Target has been allowing (de facto) parking by Hersey students here. Today there was not one spot open and it was raining. The front of the store is taken up mainly by tons of handicapped spots so I had to park quite a distance and walk in the rain. I've complained about the Hersey kids taking all the parking spots before, to no avail. They litter all over the parking lot and at lunchtime come in in big groups and walk around the store acting disrespectfully and littering in the store. Not all of them are like this, of course, but plenty are. Today there was lots of litter outsid the front of the store as well. I've addressed the parking issue previously and was told they have a liaison with Hersey and are working on the problem. That is obviously a lie as they could solve the problem if they wanted to. Additonally, this Target is invariably out of several items I come in for (their inventory management is abysmal). Their prices for groceries are about the same as Jewel which at least has sales. And their clothing is fast trendy fashion at prices that are not worth it. Really ironic for a store that touts itself as progressive --- virtue signaling hypocrites. The layout of this Target is an absolute mess, this is the 3rd time I've tried shopping at this location and I feel lost every time. They tried to modernize the decor/layout-it's the only Target I've been to that looks like this, but instead made the aisles (or lack thereof) completely confusing! It's like a maze! Save yourself the trouble and head to the one on Lake Cook Road, much calmer, easier aisles, and what seems like a bigger selection! read more

I love Target! I buy everything here. Clothes are my style and affordable. Great collection, waaay too many choices for someone like me! Got size easily! Target consistently always has exactly what I need, want or am looking for. Anything else you could think of; household goods, electronics, sporting goods and food. The service i received from the considerate staff was remarkable. I appreciate how courteous and polite she was to attending to my needs. She was very patient with me, even on a busy day. Sure, the sign says 'Target', but the inside looks like a K-Mart and that's being kind. In reality it's more of a Venture/Phar-Mor hybrid, but I don't know how many people remember those bad boys. First off, how did I not know this Target existed? I only go to Target every.damn.day. Second, why is this Target so busted compared to the others? The set-up is (and I'm trying to be as constructive as I can here) ugly and dumb. The merch is last season's biznast and it's not even on sale. They've got full price stuff here that I bought on maximum clearance at other nearby Targets two months ago and the ladies underwear and sock section backs up to electronics so while you peruse for nominally priced dainty things you get to listen to some jackass blast the surround sound on HD 3-D TVs. F*ck.That.Noise. Okay, not entirely- I did buy some long socks. But other than that, this is the one Target on the Planet that I'm not foaming at the mouth to go back to. read more

I think this Target is OK. The layout is a bit weird, but it was one of the first stores in the area. I remember I was waiting for the train to go to downtown to a class and this lady asked me if I wanted a free Target tote bag at the train station. I looked at here like she was selling something. This was apparently the reaction she was getting from most of the commuters, because she looked at me as if to say "What is wrong with all you people?" I didn't want to be rude, so I took the bag. Anyway, I think that this is one of the better Targets for clothes. I am looking for women's clothes in small or extra small sizes. They often have pretty good things on sale here. The Wheeling Target has a nice layout but is often almost empty. The Palatine Target is rather similar to this one and I think the layout is even stranger. The Target stores I like better than this one include the Vernon Hills SuperTarget, Highland Park (really nice, but don't buy anything but clothes, it's all slightly more expensive) and the Glenview Target (which is better than this one,but not as nice as Highland Park). However, none of those are particularly convenient for me, although I will stop by if I am in those neighborhoods. Sometimes this place gets busy and they are a bit ineffective, opening lines randomly and taking whichever people from the back of another line can B-line over to the new register. Sometimes this annoys me, it depends on whether I am in a hurry or not. Also, there are a lot of slobs at this store who leave shoes sitting out and clothing all over the store. I feel sort of bad about that. I don't know what gets into some people. Anyway, this is my main Target, and I sort of like it. read more

I find myself at this Tarjay oh-so-often. And really, it's due to its proximity to mi casa. And yes, even though it's not my fave Target, I still have a helluva time leaving without spending at least $50. You know, you roll in expecting to pick up dish soap and ice cream and leave with a cart full of random...and you wallet quite a bit lighter. But that's neither here nor there. As others have mentioned, the setup isn't the most user friendly. I find myself often searching for something that I *know for certain* I've found at other Target locations and cannot locate here. If you can find an employee, it's great - they're helpful and friendly. However, perhaps because of the strange setup - at least in my head - I have a hard time running down an employee to give me a hand. I'll definitely continue to patron this Target because it has 89% of what I need and hey, it's Target. I can't help myself. read more

I had occasion to visit this Target only due to being in the neighborhood and found it not as pleasant an experience than my standby in Rosemont by the Horizon (yes, I am old and I still call it the HORIZON!) No Starbucks, disorganized, unkempt. (why would the layout be in such contrast with the other stores?) I'm so used to Targets with floor set ups that don't make sense that this was a welcome surprise. It reminds me more of the traditional style that is at just about every Target in MN. I almost got lost because I've become accustomed to the IL setup. Employees were hard to find, but I picked up the red phone and got someone helpful in the light bulb area. Pretty good Target location. It has most things you're looking for and the food is relatively fresh, although it could use improvement on some items. The only complaint I really have about this location is I dislike how the parking lot is laid out, but it's hard to avoid given the streets it's located between. Good for a wide variety of nicer products though. read more

Went there yesterday and the guy at the front who is in charge of making sure that all customers wear a mask wasn't even wearing his own mask! It was under his nose and barely even on his face. I had to walk past him a few times and that mask stayed well below his nose for my entire visit. So very disappointing that they are not taking covid precautions seriously. read more

Hallelujah, my local Target is moving towards the future and become a little less hood rat, hood rat, hoochie mama. A greater grocery selection is coming in April and for the first time I saw sales associates actually walk people to what they were looking for as apposed to saying, "eh, it's over against the wall." ok so everyone chill and consider this: target has good prices on many things, has interesting items, and their clearance aisles are dope. We all can agree on this so there is no point in me describing that. Here is what I noticed about this particulat location: They recently remodeled into a "Super Target" which contains a marketplace. I was excited at first but then I realized they DONT SELL BOOZE AT ALL. So that really sucks. Arlington Heights, if you're out there-- chill with your liquor laws. They are condescending. Like wow, I can't buy a mini shooter of Fireball Whisky? And I can't chill a beer at the Binny's cooling pool? Get the hell out of here. Anyway, I love this target for everything it was before the remodeling. I especially like the section where the candles and CDs are. You can press a button and try out some relaxing / cultural music. Personally, I like the ones that say "ocean" or "spa". They're only $10 , and I buy them once in awhile for the girl in my life. I give her a lotion massage with their Up&Up brand aloe lotion while she listens to that spa shit. She called me a true gentleman, but really I am just a target customer. SELL WINE AT THIS LOCATION and you can make me the ultimate gentleman. I love the prices, the staff, but please just sell booze. I had a negative experience returning something here. I bought an item that didn't work. When I tried to return it, an older lady who was working at returns wouldn't let me. She said it would be a financial burden on Target to make a return. Aren't returns something all stores account for? I didn't think her policy was fair so I went to another Target and they returned it with no problem at all. I'll make sure I don't go to this Target from now on because they have a bad return policy. Also, I'm a lot more wary of going to any Target now because of this experience. read more

I just started working in mount prospect and this is the easiest target to get to. I'd say I go 1-2 times a week at this point. Each time I'm more annoyed than the last. This store is a mess! There are always skids, shopping carts, etc all over filled with stuff to be stocked on shelves. It's hard to maneuver a cart through many areas mid day and it's hard to find things because they're often in places that don't make sense. For example, I was looking for a step stool. At any other store - targets included - they'd be by the home improvement section. Not at this target! They were in the automotive section... which doesn't even make sense. I think we might start going out of our way to a different target just to have a better experience. read more

I'm very disappointed in my experience at the target/Starbucks on 1700 E Rand Rd Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The worker which I don't know the name of very rudely gave me and my brother attitude when I walked in the establishment. They gave a white man a water cup when he asked, but would not give me and my brown brother water. The store manager Bill came in and kicked us out for doing nothing. Accusing us of things we didn't do. Me and my brother were not just disappointed but mad. I hope there attitude will change in the years because this place is a great place to shop at. read more

So i went to Starbucks today and ordered myself a green tea latte. The barista started making my drink when I told her to put a little bit more of matcha in there and she replies "I'd have to charge you extra for that". NEVER in my life I was charged for putting an extra matcha in my drink. That was the first. So I said never mind since I'm sure it's gonna taste like matcha but in my case I love having to taste that extra matcha in my drink. I mean who doesn't love matcha. After taking my first sip literally I could just taste MILK. Like I paid $5 for milk. I was irritated so I went back and complained. Thinking that she won't charge me, she charged me anyway. She then took my drink, drained about 2 inch of it on the sink, put two scoops of matcha, put a little bit of milk and then added some more ice. When I got my drink back it was less than what I have drank. Now it literally had more ice than before. I've never experienced this in any Starbucks. Like I almost paid $7 for this and I will not come back to this Starbucks again. read more

I have never had a bad experience here. I've been shopping at this target for 6 years now and everyone is nice and helpful. I live close to the Target in Wheeling, but I much rather shop here. The store is clean and they have good stuff in their clearance section. They usually have everything I need, but if they don't, I can easily find someone in the store to help me locate it or can tell me what other stores might have it. Every time I get rung up they ask me or my husband how our day was or they are just simply nice. Once, while being rung up an employee told us how to use their app to order things to make our lives easier. Everyone here does a great job! I will continue to shop here. read more

I have mixed feelings about the pharmacy. I like the pharmacist but the pharmacy is understaffed during the rush. It took 10 minutes just to drop off a script and the assistant made me wait while trying to key everything in until I asked to go about my shopping. I like the new store layout though. read more

Let me tell you this. There are multiple Target's within very similar driving times but I promise you I will always go to this one. Why? Associate Frank can't possibly be complimented enough. Great help, friendly and helpful. This is so rare in these big box stores but I was so happy to come across him today. I will be taking my retail store time and money that is usually spilt and instead spend as solely as possible at this location now and they have Frank to thank for work. I want to say that the reason this location is getting 5 stars is because of an employee named Felipe that works mostly in the electronics section. Every time I go shopping, he has always been extremely helpful, not only with me, but all the customers in that area. He is knowledgeable and friendly and is always working hard to make the customers happy. I want to let Target know he is a very important employee to their company and he makes the shopping experience extremely enjoyable. Keep up the great work Felipe. read more

The remodel is terrrrrible! In the original target design you walk in down spacious middle isles until you get to the section you are looking for. Now you walk in the door and it's like target threw up. Stuff everything. For someone who shopped at target often it was very easy to find things. I walked around for 20 min trying to get my eyes to adjust to this horrible layout. You also would think if you are going to remodel you'd make sure your carts fit wherever you're trying to go. I left after about 45 minutes of being stressed out. As I was leaving a group of what looked like management and workers were taking up the only space I was able to walk in and not feel claustrophobic. Long story short I will drive out of my way to Schaumburg from now on. Hoping all stores don't do this. read more

Ok they are extremely rude people. They only have 1 nice worker named Marcy. They have an extremely rude manager named Bill. Bill was saying my friends and I were were being to mean asking for water cups. We did absolutely nothing and got kicked out. Bill was being extremely rude as threatening to call the cops. I want to acknowledge the fact that we did absolutely nothing. Bill shouldn't be in position he is in today. He is extremely lucky and doesn't deserve to be there.
