I went here with my daughter and her friends for brunch while we were wedding dress shopping for my daughter. My first impression is that it is a cute little restaurant. Then it came time to actually park. Parking is a joke. If you might take more than an hour to get in, order, and eat, then the next option is to pay for 3 hours of parking which is $30!!! I do not think this place is good enough to drop $30 to park and eat at. (Or $18 for 1 hour) I would advise that if you really want to try it out, park somewhere else and walk. The building and decorations still are quite adorable. I ordered the Taquitos de papa con queso. It was very, very bland with very little flavor and it was seriously lacking when it came to portions. You get 3 taquitos cut up to look like more and you can't even really taste the cheese drizzle. Just flavorless potato filling in a crisp tortilla wrap with a tease of cheese drizzle, atop a pile of shredded lettuce, a toss off purple cabbage, and a smear of guacamole. My daughter and one of her friends got Queso Birria Tacos which definitely had more flavor than my disappointment of a meal (my daughter let me try hers) but I wouldn't say it was memorable either. The cheese wasn't even properly melted in the tacos. To eat that dish, you need as many napkins as possible, just a heads up. Another one of my daughter's friends ordered Migas and she never did say if she liked it or not. The server we got was polite enough but he was very inattentive. We often had empty glasses, a lack of napkins, and then it took him so long to come give us our checks when we were done, that we were pressing our luck on time to get to my daughter's next wedding dress appointment. Mind you, we had plenty of time when we got here. Not to mention the fact you are also paying to park, so waiting on a server to eventually decide you can wrap up, is obnoxious. A significantly better version of its Domain counterpart, Taquero Mucho's downtown location is a bit smaller but has upgrades across the board. The staff was very attentive, the food was great, and the drinks/vibe were very fun. This is right off of 6th so parking can be iffy but they do have a parking lot attached so if it's not full then you're in luck. When we arrived we were seated quickly and the staff let us move things around to fit our party of 5 since most tables only fit 4 and they can get crowded. We ordered the guava cosmo rita and malibu barbie for drinks and both were good, fruity and sweet. For food we ordered a plain cheese quesadilla and the chipotle enchiladas. Both were good with the quesadilla being pretty filling and soft and the enchiladas being packed with flavor (plus they come with rice and beans on the side). Our server was great as well, very attentive and the food and drinks came out quickly. This location was a step up from our last experience at The Domain one and we can see ourselves returning here for a good meal and drinks to kick off a night of fun on West 6th. read more

I am obsessed with the color pink, I would paint my house Pink if I could lol so when I was visiting Austin and my BFF told me about this restaurant I knew we had to check it out because the entire restaurant is Pink. She has been here before and she had a good experience so I couldn't wait to try it, there was a short way but not too long, all of the decor is cute and chic, there are so many backdrops for photos! WHAT FUN! What a great fun place with amazing pink decor! All the pink cocktails were a blast. They had a pink cowgirl hat vending machine in the back, which was so clever and unique. My friends and I decided to visit today. We come from out of town and have been doing research on brunch places that we could try. We stumbled upon Taquero Mucho and were so excited to try it. Upon arriving parking was horrible. We walked in got seated and proceeded to wait for service for 20-25 minutes. When service was received our waitress was rude and appeared to not want to be there. We received our food and drinks, those were the only good things that kept the experience alive. This is the cutest pink restaurant. The interior is adorable and there is also a nice outdoor area and a covered porch area with ceiling fans. Tons of cute spots to make pics for the 'gram. The drinks, chips and tacos were pink! While I loved all the pink and the fun vibe, I figured that was the "gimmick" and the food probably wouldn't be that great. Wrong! The drinks and food were quite tasty. Friendly service. Maybe a little slow but we were in no rush so no biggie. Taco quality is 10/10. Came here w my wife. This is a place that is estrogen heavy. There were probably 50 ppl here and i was the only dude. Decor is...i dont know...modern spice girls. This is the pink girl's energy palace all the way! It's the cutest place in downtown Austin for us ladies. The restaurant alone, with its pink interior, heart balloons, pink ole fashion phone booth, and the pinkest patio, screams come on in to us ladies. I read that Taquero Mucho was inspired with us in mind but that the owner, who is a lady, owns another place, and the food is so good there that the guys found out about this place, and it drives the guys to come here to dine, too. I had been wanting to visit this beautiful pink restaurant for a while. During my trip in Austin I decided to stop by with a friend for lunch. The place is very cute and pink, with a lot of girly Halloween decor for the season. The place was pretty empty for Wednesday lunch, I think we were the second table there. I ordered the Anti Bitch Juice cocktail, which was some type of frozé and it was pretty tasty. For my meal I tried the Arrechera Tacos which were steak tacos with rice and beans. The food tasted great, the tacos were flavorful and I loved the rice and beans. The tacos come topped with guacamole and other things which made the tacos taste a bit cold, and that threw me off a bit. I feel like those things should probably come on the side. Service was okay. Our waitress was friendly just not all that attentive, and it took a while for her to bring our check. I loved the pink aesthetic and how there are many cute photo opportunities available. Not a great experience here. Veggie enchiladas were decent but very cheesy. There also weren't many vegetarian options on the menu, so you're stuck with one or two items on the menu. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant wasn't great, felt as if my group and I were being discriminated against for our skin color. When arriving to the restaurant/host stand, no one bothered to even ask what we needed help with and would keep walking past us. Mind you, it wasn't even that busy in the restaurant. Finally, after 15 minutes, one person was kind enough to help us out with our reservation. We were seated outside bc our party had more people than the required amount to sit inside by 1 person. But again, the restaurant wasn't even that busy and a similarly-sized group of white girls were already seated inside. Members of my party asked to get seated inside, but they wouldn't budge until the only white girl of our group asked to be moved inside. The service here is so trash. It started at the door. The guy had the worse attitude at the host stand. Just really passive and had a nasty look. Then the server came, and things got a bit better. She was attentive, but then took over 25 mins to get chips and salsa. Kept having to remind her. When our food finally came after 45 minutes, my birria tacos had a hair in it. We told her, and she said "okay. I'll tell management. Other than that, anything else you need ?" Just dismissing us. Then she brings the food back out, no "I'm sorry" no, "we'll take it off your check" nothing. We came here bringing our family who's in Austin for the first time, and it was such a mistake. Fun stop for Insta-worthy pics, especially if you're in town for a bachelorette party. This is definitely more of an experience destination restaurant than coming here for the meal or the drinks themselves. They have many spots where you can pose for great pictures and most of them are in convenient areas around the outside of the restaurant so you are not in other diners, or the staffs, way. The themed drink pouches are pretty sugary, but are so cute and novelty that you let that pass. The stickers are easy to peel off the pouch for saving as a keepsake or a decoration. We were here on a rainy Thursday in the middle of the day and it was very busy even then inside and out (on the covered section of the patio) so I definitely recommend placing a reservation in advance. We waited for almost a half hour without a reservation, outside under the overhang in the rain. Luckily we had our umbrella with us. The staff was clearly overwhelmed, but had good attitudes with the customers. A pink dream!!! What a cute spot! Was in town for work and my coworker suggested this spot for us to grab a late night dinner. This place is not hard to miss. Lit up in pink neon lights everywhere. They have a cute patio area, too, which kinda reminds me of something you might see in Downtown Vegas. Felt very much like a cute trailer park party! Walking in, same exact vibes! So cute inside and so pink and adorable! There were roses hanging from the ceiling and this is very much an Instagramable spot. It also happened to be Tuesday so Taco Tuesday!! I got a margarita on the rocks and some shrimp tacos (not on the happy hour taco tuesday menu though). Everything was pink!!! Even the chips, even the tortillas! It was so damn cute. The margarita was so good and refreshing. I looooved the cups hahaha they were too funny. We did somehow get our food before drinks, but again, we came in reallyyyy late at night, so I think at this point they had sent a lot of their staff home, so it was really no big deal. The music was blasting and this place really is such a vibe. Feels almost like an old cafe turned party. Obsessed. The tacos were pretty good too and came with a side of rice and beans. My recent visit to Taquero Mucho left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the positives - the flight of drinks was absolutely delicious, and the food was great too. I particularly enjoyed the vegan appetizer, tacos de papa, which were flavorful and satisfying. However, the long wait we endured without reservations was a bit of a downside. The highlight of the evening was the chicken fajitas, which my daughter ordered. While the portion size was generous, the price seemed a bit steep for the amount of food provided, which was a tad disappointing. To add to the mixed experience, I unfortunately left my sunglasses on the table as we were leaving. Realizing my mistake within minutes, I called the restaurant immediately. The initial response was disheartening as they promptly told me my glasses weren't there without checking. Only after insisting that they were indeed left on the table did they confirm and assure me they would be kept safe. When I went to retrieve them - only 10-14 minutes after having left the restaurant- the immediate reaction was that they didn't had my sunglasses. Only after the server told them to check again because they had them is that they went and check. Which makes me wonder if they really safe items left behind or if they immediately say that they don't have them and keep them to themselves. Overall, Taquero Mucho offers delicious food and drinks, but be prepared for potential service hiccups and consider the pricing when ordering certain dishes. read more

Food: everything was pretty delicious. No complaints. I've been to the Takam Mucho right by the domain, and I had a good experience there. The food was delicious as well. I love the pink aspect and all the decor it makes it for a fun girls night out or girls brunch spot! We went here for my sister-in-law's bachelorette party and they surprised us with a free shot and a ring picture and lights kinda like as if you were in the club haha. Super nice touch! So I've been here before for drinks only and I had mid food at the north location but honestly these tacos was hitting! My favorite was probably the charro beans. I thought they had really great flavor and salt and they are some of the best I've had in Austin. I also loved the Arranchera Tacos: Mexican carne asada marinated in beer and garlic spices. Topped with guacamole, pickled onions, radish and salsa taquera on the side. I got them with the corn tortillas and everything tasted wonderful but the corn tortillas got so soggy I had to finish with a fork. I reserved this place for my birthday for many reasons and every reason was failed as soon as I walked in. AC was Not working ( mid August) I couldn't even enjoy my appetizer. You couldn't order lunch till after 3 pm ( no one mentioned that over the phone either) This place is really known for all the cute setups that are posted on their website to take pictures and NONE of that was seen in the restaurant ... The outdoor side was not available that day and we had to pay extra to take pictures there too.
