A significantly better version of its Domain counterpart, Taquero Mucho's downtown location is a bit smaller but has upgrades across the board. The staff was very attentive, the food was great, and the drinks/vibe were very fun. This is right off of 6th so parking can be iffy but they do have a parking lot attached so if it's not full then you're in luck. When we arrived we were seated quickly and the staff let us move things around to fit our party of 5 since most tables only fit 4 and they can get crowded. We ordered the guava cosmo rita and malibu barbie for drinks and both were good, fruity and sweet. For food we ordered a plain cheese quesadilla and the chipotle enchiladas. Both were good with the quesadilla being pretty filling and soft and the enchiladas being packed with flavor (plus they come with rice and beans on the side). Our server was great as well, very attentive and the food and drinks came out quickly. This location was a step up from our last experience at The Domain one and we can see ourselves returning here for a good meal and drinks to kick off a night of fun on West 6th.

If you love the color pink, this place is for you! Everything is pink and pretty between the cute neon lights and multiple photo backdrop spots. I went for happy hour, and the food was good! I got the small tacos, and they were alright (not my favorite but not my worst). I also got the elite, and I loved it! To drink, I did get a Pink Margarita Clasica, and it was eh. They definitely didn't hold back on the alcohol. The staff were super friendly. They let me stay there for a long time as I was on my phone and read my book. There was not many people at the place.

I was surprised that the food here was pretty AND good! We went at dinner time on a Sunday and we got seated right away. I had the best shrimp tacos I've ever had. It's a great place if you want some cute pics! Just be careful getting on the fake swing! It's a bit loose!

I am obsessed with the color pink, I would paint my house Pink if I could lol so when I was visiting Austin and my BFF told me about this restaurant I knew we had to check it out because the entire restaurant is Pink. She has been here before and she had a good experience so I couldn't wait to try it, there was a short way but not too long, all of the decor is cute and chic, there are so many backdrops for photos! All of my Tik Tok aesthetic girls need to come here to take pictures, the phone booth was my favorite part. We had drinks and appetizers I had the Barbie cocktail and my friend had the pineapple margarita both were really good, I love that even the food is pink, when I am back in Austin I'll definitely come here again.

WHAT FUN! What a great fun place with amazing pink decor! All the pink cocktails were a blast. They had a pink cowgirl hat vending machine in the back, which was so clever and unique. So many fun places for photo and selfies, which we of course just loved. Everything is pink, pink, pink, pink pink. Honestly, my pink waffle was not terrific, but the cuteness and pinkness of it made up for everything. You go to locations like this for the decor and ambience, and you give them a break for the food.

The cutest photo ops at every corner!!

The place is super cute inside and has so many photo ops. The drinks and happy hour was ok the drinks were a little on the sweeter side and of course pink! Happy hour was the right price for the drinks so get there early. The queso was also really good and part of the happy hour deal. Service was decent the place was pretty empty when we got there so everything went quick' We ended up just doing happy hour here which was perfect for girl time!

*this review was stuck in my drafts from March 2023* Ordered: Bloody Mary Mango Mami French Toast In Austin for a bachelorette party so of course we went to this super photo-worthy spot for brunch one morning. Drinks and food were good, but honestly the reason to come out is all of the photo-op spots. Super cute place!

Very cute restaurant but can be Super crowded and music is good but quite loud so it's hard to talk that's why I'm giving 4 stars. The waiter that services us was nice. I ordered the beef tacos (forgot the actual name on menu) and it was nicely seasoned. The sauce was nice and spicy so be careful. I ordered a mango margarita on the rocks and it was pretty good and strong. My friend ordered something with guava and she liked her drink. She also had the avocado with chicken (forgot to take pic) and she Really liked hers. She said it was very flavorful.

Came here for brunch and it was fairly decent! The service was quick and attentive, and the ambiance of the place was nice as well. I'd recommend using Uber or RideShare for parking, as there's not that many spaces in the lot.

    It's pink!

This is the cutest pink restaurant. The interior is adorable and there is also a nice outdoor area and a covered porch area with ceiling fans. Tons of cute spots to make pics for the 'gram. The drinks, chips and tacos were pink! While I loved all the pink and the fun vibe, I figured that was the "gimmick" and the food probably wouldn't be that great. Wrong! The drinks and food were quite tasty. Friendly service. Maybe a little slow but we were in no rush so no biggie. Recommend going on a weekday if possible, there weren't many people there so we could easily make pictures when and where we wanted to and be as silly as we wanted.

This is the pink girl's energy palace all the way! It's the cutest place in downtown Austin for us ladies. The restaurant alone, with its pink interior, heart balloons, pink ole fashion phone booth, and the pinkest patio, screams come on in to us ladies. I read that Taquero Mucho was inspired with us in mind but that the owner, who is a lady, owns another place, and the food is so good there that the guys found out about this place, and it drives the guys to come here to dine, too. But you know we ladies don't mind sharing. One important reason is the food is so good, the drinks are highly recommended, and the dining experience is one of a kind, so why not share? Also, it makes for a great date night!

Love the pink interior. Love the Latina owned business! Food and drinks are great!

Loved it! Excellent food and drink. I brought my granddaughter for her 16th birthday and she loved the vibe sending photos to her friends.

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average
