A small breakfast specialty location with a very homey feeling on the inside with old fashioned wall paper and tchotchkes decorating the interior. It's a smaller space so the inside is a little bit crowded. The restaurant is cash-only so be sure to have cash if you'd like to go. The service was friendly and we were served our food quickly. The portions were filling and so delicious. It's also located on a nice Main Street so it's a nice place to eat and then explore the town. I had the eggs over-easy and they were cooked to perfection. The bacon was the perfect amount of crispness as well which hit the spot for sure! I would recommend Tanzy's to others and would be a repeat customer if I were back in the area.
Tanzy's is the perfect spot for a quick breakfast or brunch before walking around Warren Street. It was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. It has a very homey, cozy, old-school feel and the staff is so kind. We arrived around 10:30am on a Sunday morning, so it was understandably busy. The two waitresses working at the restaurant seated us within 5 minutes of arriving, and quickly brought us hot coffee and water. We ordered the croissant French toast (with scrambled eggs and bacon) and fried eggs, toast, and breakfast sausage. The waitresses were super attentive in refilling our coffee and making sure we had everything we need. The food came out quickly and was all served hot. The croissant French toast in particular was so tasty, and it as truly a croissant made into French toast! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Be sure to make this a part of your trip to Hudson! Note that this is a cash-only business.
Tanzy's is the right place to go every time. My partner and I have always enjoyed coming here. Their bacon egg and cheese breakfast is amazing. Not only that, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The owners are wonderful. They take great care of their staff and customers. We will always come back to tanzy's for breakfast as they are extremely affordable. If you are in the area, you won't regret trying out this beauty.
Yes!! Go!! Two sensational sisters, Sandie and Tisha, make everyday food exceptional and extraordinary. If you're reading this review and looking for something delightfully delicious, then start meandering down to this enjoyable brunch spot. Tanzy's sets a standard in Hudson. It's homemade food made with love. Tanzy's is our favorite Saturday and Sunday breakfast spot whenever we visit from NYC. We recommend their Tanzy Breakfast Plate with homemade French Toast and any weekend special. Yes!! Go!!
Adorable vintage place for 15-20 people to eat. Lots of adorable decor and "Tanzy's Breakfast" was fulfilling with bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes and pancake. They are open 8am-12pm and it seems family owned. Enjoy mom and pop shops with friendly service. The hot cocoa is excellent and homemade
It's nice to see there is indoor seating available with adequate social distancing space but we ordered our breakfast to go. The pancake (singular) in the breakfast platter was hugeeee! Took up a whole takeout tray by itself! I don't know what a pork roll is but it was delicious, I might consider it better than bacon The portions were great and the value worth it. Waitress/cashier was super friendly
good food, good service, reasonable price, great atmosphere.. I may not salivate thinking about it, but I'll come back. I had an omelette, good size with two slices of really good multi grain bread.
Walk in and you're transported back to grandmas house as a kid. The welcoming staff is warm and lets you choose your table (major points for me). Everything is homey and fills your heart with joy. The chef is actually grandma. She makes her own stuffing. Everything is homemade. The table cloths are a favorite of my girlfriend. The trinkets and shirts for sale are also a nice touch, as we are just visiting town and would love something memorable to bring home! Only giving 3 stars because the food could have been better.0
We were at Hudson,NY for a business trip and we were trying to find a spot to eat and stumbled upon this place. It is small mom and pops restaurant. They have 1 waitress to take your orders, it took quite a while for our food to come. They had 2 other tables that has a party of 4 or more and then us 2. So 3 tables all together, it took 30-45 mins for our order to came. When our food came wow, my pancake was really good!!the bacon was crispy and it was worth the wait. I would come back here again! read more
Our last day in Hudson and we were heading to the Opera House to see my wife's long time family friend's art display. I asked a woman canvassing for early voters for a place to eat and she recommended Tanzy's First off the owners were so sweet and you could tell it was a genuine local spot filled with love. When I ordered the pancakes I was gonna go full stack (3) and the server said "she makes them very big!" So I ordered two and these things were huge. Excellent flavor with real maple too, if you ask! The pork roll was solid as always and I'm always happy to see it on the menu. We ordered potatoes as well and they were extremely flavorful. The best part, one of the owners came out and gave me the recipe! Most of the patrons clearly visited on a regular basis and everyone really felt at home. I've been to many small restaurants in my day and you can tell when people really have a passion. At Tanzy's, I felt this way and will certainly stop back next time in Hudson! This was a solid drive resulting in a touchdown for the win! read more

This is an amazing place! Nicest lady served us and was the sweetest thing I've experienced since my mom made me pancakes on a snow day! From homemade pastries to large portion breakfasts this place is a hometown, homemade, and friendly gem! Even bought local honey, fudge, & bees wax candles after a true lumberjack breakfast. Best & most reasonable prices for breakfast and lunch in the whole area, skip the hipster places that are "based" on this OG GEM! The tea comes in the cutest porcelain cups the whole shop is an Instagram gem! Get in here early as they close at 2pm read more

Love this little find! I would describe Tawny's as a little diner in your pocket. No frills, but delicious food and no long wait. Just sit, enjoy and support a small business too. Loved it! read more
Homey, country store-style space, with older, local-looking clientele. Very standard offerings: eggs, pancakes, oatmeal. The most off-the-beaten-path option was a breakfast burrito. We ordered an egg sandwich, two oatmeals, a breakfast burrito, and sides of fresh fruit and pork roll. Strangely, this took over forty minutes to come out. The restaurant was reasonably full but didn't seem all that busy around 10 am on a Sunday. Egg sandwich was pretty good. The oatmeals were lukewarm and mushy. The burrito had decent components but had an overly watery salsa. Pork roll was our first time trying it but interesting. Fruit bowls were miniscule and mostly melon (an all-too-common problem). Coffee was also average. The prices were reasonable but given the interminable wait and mediocre food, wouldn't return or recommend. read more

First time at Tanzy's and was not disappointed. Loved the decor and squeaky wooden floors. Waitress was wonderful. Eggs cooked perfectly for both of us. Definitely a place to return to read more

Tanzy's is an adorable, homey breakfast/lunch spot located right on Warren St in downtown Hudson, NY. The owner took care of us and told us about growing up above the baker's shop that her family owned in Hudson. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was delightful. If you're looking for a sweet local spot to try out that's well priced, then I'd recommend Tanzy's! read more
I had brunch here with a friend during a visit to Hudson. It's a cozy place with good food and warm service that makes you feel like you're having brunch at a favorite aunt's home. The decor is delightfully kitschy and the atmosphere makes for a really relaxing, pleasant experience. And there's free WiFi, too! read more
