Called Lowes on sat 12/25/16 and explained that my Samsung Dryer had stopped working and sparking. Initially they were going to send dependable repair to fix it on Tuesday 12/27/16. They called me the day of and said that the company rejected their request saying they don't work on Samsung products. They then scheduled and emailed a confirmation for Tanstel electronics for the next day. Appointment from 8-12 morning. I called tanstel at 11:30am to see the eta. They said they did not get a call from lowes and they would not be able to come until Monday. I work a full time job and I've had to take both days off because of this foolishness. They are not only playing with my livelihood but also my money, career. I will be writing a BBB complaint on all three companies. read more

He even admitted it the first time he came out. They sent him back out 2 weeks later with no new parts so he just sat looking at the machine for 2 hours and left. The majority of 1 star reviews (or less if possible) summarize the same non-existent service I experienced. They never returned a phone call or called back when committed. This is the worst company many to use for appliance repairs. Tools them weeks to get parts that should have taken days. Blew me off every week I called for a status. Once they scheduled the repair a month later (without a washing machine) the tech never showed up and after calling he said he was another hour out. Mind you 2.5 hours after the appointment time. Then one tech shows up the next day for a two tech job. I ended helping the tech so I could get my washing machine back running. 4 hours of my day off wasted. Oh and the second tech showed up in time to put the last two screws in. Meanwhile he was on his phone the whole time and didn't help the guy much who just worked over 3 hours by himself. Never again. Actually I would have given this company a ZERO. Incompetence doesn't even truly depict what they have done.My Bosch stove was broke and they came out to assess the problem. They said they needed to order a part. They said it would take about a week to get the part and fix the stove. Over a month and half later after making numerous phone calls etc.. they keep saying we are waiting on the part. Finally after getting so frustrated I asked them what the part number was? they tell me and guess why the part wasn't in? IT HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED OVER 2 YEARS AGO. Lowes scheduled this company to service our Whirlpool washer. We were called by the Tanstel and scheduled a time and date. The tech never showed up. We called and inquired. We were told the tech's car broke down and he would call us.. After several days of no-call we called the Tanstel and were advised that the tech would call us. No call. We finally called Lowes back and canceled the Tanstel no-service and scheduled another company. Do the owners know about their internal customer service problems? read more

If I could, I would give zero stars. I contacted Tanstel Electronics because they were recommended on the LG website. My refrigerator broke in the middle of our Covid pandemic. They sounded great and came out within 24 hours. Told us the same thing we said to them on our first call, the compressor went out. They agreed that the part is under warranty and they would order if I paid a deposit on the service. I gave them $225 on April 2, 2020. after two weeks I contacted them to ask and they said the part is on order. called again the next week and got the same answer. I finally contacted LG directly to let them know about the company they recommend, and was told the part is under warranty and I should not pay anything to have it fixed. On April 21st they called another company and it was fixed in less than 48 hours. Now I need my money refunded from Tanstel. Tanstel they will not refund my money. I have a dispute now with the credit card company. My next call it back to LG to see if I can get them off the recommended list at that website. read more

Tanstel electronics was solely chosen by the manufacturer of my new product. After attempting to schedule (and being unable to reach anyone) with Tanstel I googled and found horrible reviews. I almost contacted the manufacturer of my product and requested another repair company but decided to give Tanstel a chance. That decision was a giant waste of my life!!! When the owner of Tanstel finally came out he had to order a part. The part arrived a few days before the start of July 4th weekend. I called to notify him in hopes he could come that Thursday or Friday but didn't hear back. The following week (Wednesday) his webpage was down, he was not answering calls, text, or emails. I called the manufacturer and they also couldn't reach him. He finally called 7/13 to say he would be here 7/16. It's 7/16 and he was supposed to come today. I waited ALL day and he NEVER showed, called, emailed, nothing. It is unfortunate he is allowed to be in "business" at all. This is a horrendous company and I would NEVER RECOMMEND people use their services. I had an issue with my Samsung washer, which I purchased through Lowes. I contacted Lowes customer service (since it's under warranty) and scheduled an appointment with this vendor. Apparently Tanstel Electronics is one of the many vendors that is contracted with Lowes. Nevertheless, my appointment was for Saturday morning (May 7, 2016) and of course I had to wait within the 4 hour window. No one called, text, or even emailed me that the technician would not be coming. Tanstel Electronics decided to order the part first for my washer but hadn't even come to the house to do a diagnostic test. I contacted Lowes extremely frustrated because IqAr knew I would be forced to find time to get off work and meet the technician once the part came in. The vendor was contacted by Lowes to confirm what was going on and why no one showed up to my house. To make matters worse I get a call the same day (Saturday) from the vendor asking me the serial number of my washer so they could order the part! What??!?!? That part should have already been ordered. Nevertheless, I had to wait a few more days and the part came in on Tuesday (May 10). Well now it's been a week since I first scheduled an appointment. Kim, the customer service representative for Tanstel Electronics called me to see when I would be available for the technician to come to my house. My first question was what times does the technician have open? Kim couldn't tell me because the manager allows each technician to create their own schedule. I reluctantly scheduled the appointment for Friday (May 13) and SPECIFICALLY TOLD KIM to tell the technician to call me TWO DAYS before the appointment to confirm a time. I am a professional working woman and have things to do. Therefore, I like to know what time the technician would be arriving and make sure I am home. Needless to say, the technician NEVER responded to my request. I was told that he calls customers the day before to schedule an exact time. Then why did I have to call the company the day before to find out what time this technician would be coming to my house??? Not only is this unacceptable but it is unprofessional!! To top it all off, the manager, John Tanon, is NEVER AVAILABLE!! If this is how Tanstel Electronics conducts business no one should be paying for service. I contacted Lowes to complain and switch companies. I need a realizable and more reputable company to fix my washer. This company deserves a negative 100 stars! UPDATE: The technician named Eric contacted me at 6:51pm on Thursday May 12,2016. I informed him of my frustration and asked why he did not respond to the notes Kim left by my name. Eric said he never received any notes and Kim never contacted him. Eric also states that Kim, the administrative assistant for Tanstel was lying. At this point I am even more frustrated and asked Eric to look at the paper and tell me what the notes said. Eric tells me "I don't have to deal with this bullshit" and hung the phone up in my face. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY BUSINESS. I called them on February 20, 2020 to repair my gas range. I received their information from my local Lowes. Was told that it was the mother board on my gas range that was out. The repairman called his service department & they told him they had one available (he was on speaker phone & I heard the entire conversation). I put a deposit down. Was told it would be approximately 1 week. I've tried several time to call for an update. I have only spoken to a person 2 times & was told that the delay was due to the Coronavirus. Finally received an email on April 28, 2020 indicating that the part was in & I had 24 hours to call. I tried on 2 different days for a total of 90 minutes of holding without speaking to a representative. I sent an email on April 29, 2020 indicating my attempts to call them. As of June 23, 2020 I have heard back from them. I have since called another company & turns out it was the igniters that's we're out. If I could give a "zero" rating I would. read more

Unbelievable, we put in a request for service ( a 3 month old LG washer) October 6 th. Today is October 29. Repairman came out the 7 th or 8th, identified a common problem and told us it would take 7 to ten days for the part to arrive. Several days later we called to ask about the part, to be told it HAD NOT BEEN ORDERED. I could go on with a day by day update, but it's the 29 and no repair. We called this morning and held for 32 minutes before someone answered. I don't know how these people became LG approved. Very dissatisfied with the customer service of this company. I contacted Lowe's on 4/11/18 for an extended warranty service on my washing machine. They told me that Tanstel Elec. will be there on Friday 4/13/18 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. I made arrangements to take off from work for that day. Tanstel called on Thursday afternoon to tell me that they would not be able to make it on Friday, that they were fully booked until the following Wednesday and that Lowe's should not have made that particular appointment; in other words, they put the blame on Lowe's, the very company that recommended them! They also suggested that I would ask Lowe's for a different contractor, which I did. I got the impression that they were overworked and that they did not need any more business. I was going to leave it at that, however a "tech" from Tanstel called me today Wednesday 4/18/18. He would not let me explain that I had already contacted another company, through Lowe's. He kept talking over me even though I repeatedly told him: "please let me finish"; very rude person, I had to hang up. I can't figure out why Lowe's - an otherwise good company - contracts Tanstel for servicing their extended warranties. read more

As many others have posted, I too would give them less than a single star if it was an option. I had to use them since my issue was a warranty item. The compressor went on an LG refrigerator (6 years old-don't buy an LG). I called to make an appointment and told them it was the compressor. He said that they could not diagnose it over the phone so they made an appointment to come out, diagnose it and fix it. He came out, opened the refrigerator doors and said "yep, it's the compressor. $90.00 please" He could not fix it because he did not have the parts. They would order them and call me. I called them back in a week. They had not ordered them and needed the model and serial numbers. Another three days and I had to call them back and they said that the part wasn't covered since I didn't have proof of purchase. I did have a copy of the receipt so I sent that and they said that they would then order the part. Another week and I called back and they did not have the parts in yet. The following day, I called LG and they told me the parts had shipped, so I called back Tanstel. The parts just arrived (coincidently) and they scheduled the repair. It was a 2:00-4:00 window. I am now typing this at 5:11, five weeks after my initial call. I have never experienced any company nearly as awful as Tanstel. read more

All the reviews are right and I would give NO STARS if that was an option! They have horrible customer service and never answer the phone. Only way I was able to communicate was through email and text and constantly had to follow up. I understand the situation at hand with the pandemic, at the same time, response time shouldn't be 5+ days and require follow up. Plus the biggest thing that happened, and other reviews have mentioned as well, they try to scam you! They told me they could replace my screen on my LG 3D TV and the part was discontinued in January 2020! Do not trust this company! They have horrible customer service, have an F on Better Business Bureau and lie their way through the whole process! Then wanted to argue when I called them out on the lies. They were referred by LG as a "certified" technician but should lose their certification to protect LG. Spoke with LG again today for more referrals and another company is the one who helped me confirm they were trying to scam me as the part is no longer available. They had the audacity to try and say the part was changed to another part number (though 3D TVs aren't even made anymore) and also contradicted themselves of this was a "cosmetic" fix but originally told me it would take a week. Cosmetic is very quick repairs. All the reviews I am sure are accurate and they also stated satisfied customers just move on which is not true. So i called a little after 8am today, the phone just rang probably a dozen times! No answering machine or anything!...I called Home Depot who my warranty was through to ask if I had the right number and explained what happened. The agent called the same number himself and said he actually did finally get an answering machine after 10 rings or so (perhaps I accidentally remotely turned it on by letting it ring so much! lol) He left them a message. The Home Depot sent this company the service request for our Samsung refrigerator. Was frosting and leaking. I was told that we have to by at home either all morning or all afternoon,. A nice lady called from Tanstel and stated that their technician will call me with a 2 two hours time window. The technician called, agreed to make it his last job for the day so we can get home without taking a day off. He was, knowledgeable and professional. Horrible, rude, unresponsive, and should not be in business. Our appliance protected by Lowe's extended warranty and needed repair. Gave Lowe's the fault code on Sunday. They scheduled Tanstel on Wednesday and said since I provided the fault code they will bring the repair part. Tuesday I called Tanstel to confirm, and the lies began. On hold 5 minutes before what sounded like the most disinterested and lazy c/s clerk answered. Said they just got the request from Lowe's and a triage tech would order parts which take from 2 to -4 days to arrive. No tech would be coming out. I said Fox parts is a mile from our home so please ask the tech to pick it up on their way as a scheduled. She said that 'ain't the way we do dat'. I pushed back and she said I was rude! Really? I called Lowe's, filed a complaint and they offered another company, now scheduled for Friday. A few google searches and we learned the issue with our microwave is common. Watched a YouTube video how to replace, found it on Sears.com and have it entire for delivery tomorrow! Should take 20 minutes to install. Uh...from the previous reviews it seems like this is common business for these guys. The problem is with our dryer that is under warranty with Lowe's. We are stuck with these guys because of their contract with Lowe's. They came out to assess the problem March 8th. They told me they would order the part and call us back in 3 - 5 business days. That time came and went and I finally called them on day 8. Still got the run around and said the part was on the way. Called back on day 11 because still had not heard from them. I called and left a message for the manager to call me back. Haven't had a call in 3 days. Here we are on business day 14 and I still have no clue where the part is or when they will be back out to fix the dryer. The lack of communication is unreal. I hope to talk soon with the manager to discuss the issues frustrated is an understatement. If you are looking for a repair from these guys keep looking. The first guy that came out put it back over my range half put together so I had to get another tech to comeback to fix that. Three weeks later, it completely stopped working. They have a 90 day guarantee so I called them back and had to continue calling just to get an appointment. The guy finally came back on September 21 and said another part has to be ordrered. I called on September 24 to check on the status, really to make sure part was ordered, and no parts ordered. I requested a manager to call me to explain with no call as of yet. Called Lowes on 6/5/16 for warranty repair of my Samsung Dryer, they assigned Tanstel as the vendor and scheduled an appointment for 6/7/16. I received a call from Kimberly on 6/6/16 saying they were booked up until Thursday (6/9/16), but would probably order a part for my Dryer based on my reported issue. I thought this was out of the ordinary, but hey, I don't work on Dryers. I check in with Kim on 6/7/16 and she advised me that the part would take 4-7 business days. I wait until Monday the 20th and call back because Kim does not respond to my emails - they tell me that the part was just ordered on the 6/16/16!!!! So I ask why did they tell me it was ordered on the 8th, when it was not the case. The girl I'm speaking with says " I don't know". I ask to speak with Kim's supervisor and the girl tells me it s her - so I'm left with no answers or accountability for what went wrong. I called back on 6/22 and get told by a different person that parts take 4-7 days again and they would contact me when it was in. I filled him in on my experience thus far and he says "well, we will call you when they come in...." After hearing this I contacted Lowes and asked for a different company, since this one has no ability to communicate and I have very little confidence in their ability to fix my issue. He spoke a little english, told us we had a broken rotor and not to use the dryer. As he was leaving he told us tp call the office to get a price and date fpr a service call. My wife called and she was told she would get a call back by the end of the day. That didn't happen. I called and left a message and sent an email to the service department. Never heard back.
