He does great work on refrigerators and dryers. Didn't realize the coils in the back of my fridge were so dirty & definitely needed a thorough cleaning. Marcus also found I needed a new refrigerator hose. No more strange noise coming from the fridge now. Thank you! Great customer service both by telephone and in person. I had a very disappointing experience with Appliance EMT that I feel others should be aware of. A technician came to my home on Saturday to repair my ice maker. Before beginning the work, he clearly stated that the cost would be $395, but also explained that there was no warranty on the repair and that if the fix did not work, the price would be reduced to $250. Based on that representation, I agreed to move forward. After the repair, the freezer briefly got cold and produced only three ice cubes before the technician left--at which point I was charged the full $395. Unfortunately, within an hour of his departure, the freezer stopped working entirely. When I contacted the company to address this, I expected them to honor what their technician had promised. Instead, they refused to adjust the price down to $250 as previously stated. Rather than resolving the issue, they repeatedly attempted to upsell me on a much more expensive repair totaling approximately $1,300. Given this experience--being charged for a repair that did not work, having agreed-upon pricing disregarded, and facing persistent upselling instead of resolution--I strongly discourage others from doing business with this company. read more

While here, I told him I had a burner that was not working properly and, he easily identifies the problem. He ordered the part and did the repair the next day! I requested a repair on our Fulgor Milano refrigerator I specifically asked if EMT serviced this brand and they said yes. Unfortunately this was not the case. The ice maker stopped making ice and the technician charged me 1st for a new water flow intake valve $500 and then a replacement ice maker $800. Neither fixed the problem and the technician was on the phone with the manufacturer multiple times to no avail. So we stopped the pain and contacted our vendor who solid us the appliance. They sent out a truly certified technician who fixed the ice maker and showed us that one of the parts EMT charged us was NOT a new part. I take ownership for not hiring g a truly certified technician in the first place but EMT should have reimbursed me for the parts that did not work. Never again. read more

Avoid this company. Our dryer worked before their visit (it powered on and ran, just didn't heat). We paid $97 for a diagnosis. They claimed it needed a heating element and quoted $430, which we declined. After their technician reassembled the dryer, it would not start at all. This failure happened immediately after they left. When we called, they refused to return unless we paid another $97 trip charge, despite the dryer being left in worse condition due to their work. They would not take responsibility, would not troubleshoot, and would not correct an issue they introduced. Leaving an appliance non-functional after a paid service call and then charging again to fix your own mistake is unacceptable. This is not a pricing issue -- it's an accountability issue. I had a wonderful experience with Appliance EMT when my washing machine drain pump went out. They got me on the schedule right away. Technician arrived on time and was very professional and polite. He discovered the problem almost immediately. He did not have the part needed but promised to be back later that afternoon to finish my job. He came back after another job with the part as promised. He did a thorough job and made sure to sit through a full wash cycle to make sure everything was good to go before he left. Highly recommend and will call Appliance EMT in the future when needed! Showed up 30min after 3 hour window. Spent about 15-20 minutes looking at it and charged $195 for a proposed fix to a "bad wire". Was told possibly a pump would need to be purchased if this fix did not work. Next day dishwasher still broken. Called them back asking questions about what was done and next steps, receptionist asked me "why do you need to know all that?". The cost of the replacement pump is the price of the dishwasher. I feel swindled as I do not think fixing a "wire" for 20 min is worth $195. Frustrated but I did agree to a poorly explained "fix". read more

I have a 4 year old refrigerator whose ice maker was throwing errors on the front panel. Two techs arrived. It appears one is new or may not have worked for the company but was a friend of the employee. They disassembled the refrigerator to get to the parts. They indicated what part was causing the issues. They looked up in their inventory and realized the part was not in stock and no ETA. They offered to take a similar part for a different fridge and hardwire it in place of existing, thus modifying wiring. It was not clear if this would impact the fridge or future repair by others. They gave me a part number when they left but also said they would keep me updated on availability. I did some cross checking with the manufacturer's part site. When I cross checked the part number with the model number of my fridge, it did not match. It told me the part number EMT provided was not for my fridge and suggested a different part. I validated this on another reseller's site as well. These parts were in fact, available. When calling EMT to ask for updates on parts, they didn't have any. When asking telling them about the issue with the part number provided, and asked to resend the tech, they stopped returning my calls or responding to my emails. In addition to these issues, when questioning if they were authorized by the manufacturer of my fridge to do these repairs, their answers were anything but confident. I would not call on this company again. They lack any sense of customer service. I am now going to pay another company to come validate EMT's findings and part numbers. read more

He looked at it and had to order parts, ok I get that. 1 week later the parts came in and lo and behold they were the wrong parts. 1 more week later and it seemed fine until it wasn't. Joseph came back to the house and realized that he had the wrong some such thing so he replaced it now it's been less than two weeks and I took out a load of wash that only comprised of five articles of clothing and the agitator came off AGAIN. August 27 was the first visit of 4 to try to fix my oven which was running 50 degrees too hot. First part ordered. Second visit with new part, still not right. Third visit with 2 new parts kit was supposedly fixed but now it runs 100 degrees too low so I requested a new technician to double check the issue. Paul came out for the 4th visit and said he would reorder the thermostat since that one wasn't working right. Fast forward 2 weeks and 2 more phone calls, the new thermostat got lost in the warehouse and a new order would take another 7-10 business days. I had finally had enough on the 75th day without my oven working right I fired them, requesting a refund for the inadquate service and was assured by Ella it would be Venmoed to me that afternoon. It is two days later and still no refund. On top of everything, I called the manufacturer in Cleveland, TN and had a new thermostat at my expense in 2 days. My husband has been using Youtube to install it himself. Don't waste your time or money on this place. I should have read reviews before I called them. read more

They immediately fit us in their schedule for the next day. This company is great with communication. While getting an appliance fixed can be pricey, we felt the value was worth it as we weren't wanting to buy a new one any time soon. We also felt they didn't over charge us and were very reasonable. I already had the fridge pulled out into the middle of the kitchen. I then told him that once in a while there was a loud noise once a month or so. He then opened the bottom freezer and looked inside. I asked him what type of electric diagnostic tools he had. He said he had none. He said he could replace the fan. Just out for a quick buck. I called to have a tech check a new washer that was giving a sporadic error code of PE. I was repeatedly told that there was a $97 service call no matter what the tech found. That was fine. The tech arrived, ran the washer for about 5 minutes, checked that it drained and said that there is nothing wrong. I explained that it throws the error PE about every 4-5 loads and shuts down mid cycle. I stated that it must be a pressure sensor that is bad, he said there wasn't one, that the control board measures the pressure and its about $800. He did not check anything using equipment that I would think a technician would be using. He was ready to leave withing 10 minutes just throwing his hands in the air because the machine did not tell him what's wrong. That is not a technician. I researched the issue, ordered the pressure sensor and replaced it myself. Don't bother with these guys, they make there money off of the fee to show up, not fix it. read more

A 3.3 Norcold AC/DC frig on a 20 year old cruiser boat was very loud and vibrating. Made appointment with Appliance EMT and Marcus was on time, in uniform and was very professional. He worked thru the various tests levels explaining as he went along. I had searched for a potential Frig replacement and could not locate one due to the age of the frig and its size. So I called GE and they sent a repairman out and the problem was not the compressor. I got scammed but they lost a customer for $237 that would have probably kept using them if they hadn't done a scam like this. read more
