Quick response to my inquiry, easy and quick scheduling, showed up on time, diagnosed the issue with our 3 year old dishwasher quickly, thoroughly explained course of action and costs, went right to work. 30 minutes later, issued fixed, mess cleaned up and appliance returned to use with no issue. Vasyl does an amazing and conscientious job of diagnosing and then fixing problem appliances. Our 5 year old dishwasher just up and died with no explanation so we called for help. Vasyl was scheduled with a 2 hour window, he texted well on time during that period to let us know he was on the way, arriving around 9am. He diagnosed a dead motherboard and the problem that caused it, then had my wife call me at work so he could explain the whole process to both of us before proceeding and giving us a quote that included applying his service call fee to the work. Very fair pricing, especially in today's market! We then asked him to look at water and condensation issues with our garage fridge. He diagnosed and figured what it would take to fix those issues as well. He had to go buy parts and told us he could be back in the evening to fix all this, if it was ok with us. It was because we were relieved to be able to get use of our dishwasher asap and not have to worry about the fridge any more. Arriving back at our house a little after 6pm, I was able to meet him as he went about correcting our issues while being friendly and professional. He worked until after 8pm helping us put our home back in order with working appliances. Hard working, dedicated, dependable, honest. These are words I'd use to describe Yasyl. He will be our Go-To Repairman from now on, and I'd recommend him to anyone with appliance repair needs! read more

I hired VK Appliance Repair to remove an existing dishwasher and install a new dishwasher. TLDR - everything was perfect (except one small detail that is less important, I will talk about it later). Booking: The appointment process was seamless, via a phone call and text message follow ups. Our technician, Vadim, arrived on time and we were notified of his departure as well. Installation: We ran into an issue where the new dishwasher had a problem with the rear adjustable leg. Vadim was able to fix the issue right there by disassembling the bottom plate! That demonstrated that he's really a proficient technician. I was charged a reasonable extra amount. Finally, the dishwasher was put in place and verified working! One last detail that he missed was checking the operation of the door, because after he left we noticed the door bumped into the toe kick and got stuck. But I was able to call the company, and he came back to quickly take care of it. Summary: I'm very happy with how things went and I will use VK Appliance Repairs again for my installation or repair needs. Price was good (I even got a discount without asking) and the most competitive of the quotes I received. Minor exception: One thing they could do better is a little bit of design sense and initiative. It's also my miss for not providing input, but I noticed that the dishwasher door should be recessed against the countertop, but it was positioned in a way that it protrudes a little bit. With better design sense, the technician could have made sure it was in the right position relative to the countertop and flush with the cabinetry, or ask me for my opinion on it. The installation was not in the most spacious place and required experience and a "let's get this done" attitude - VK Appliance had both. We needed a refrigerator repair and called VK. We called at about 10:30AM and he arrived at 1:00PM. He diagnosed the problem but did not have the necessary replacement part. He said he would go get and com right back. It only took him an hour and a half to go get the part and get it installed. It was a factory original part also. Our Kenmore refrigerator suddenly stopped running. Not only did they send a knowledgeable and likable technician who arrived four hours after we called. He quickly diagnosed our problem as a faulty circuit board. First, he tried resetting it. No joy. Then he rooted around in his truck and found a circuit board that would fit our refrigerator. A half-hour later, the fridge was humming happily along. The bill was reasonable, about $350. I will call them again with any future appliance problems and strongly recommend them to you. read more

Needed my washing machine repaired Quickly , having 3 kids and washing clothes every day I couldn't wait 3 days for other service companies. So I called VK appliance repair and was quoted a $60.00 service call that would be deducted if a repair was done. They came that same day. The tech spent 20 minutes to remove a broken belt, was back the next day with a new belt, 30 minutes to install a new belt and charged me $276.00 !!!! I know from research and quotes from other companies the cost of the belt is around $40.00. I think they took advantage of me knowing I needed the repair quickly. Our refrigerator had quit working, so I searched online to find a reputable company with good reviews. I went to google and look for a refrigerator repair near me and this company was not the first one that came up, but they had nearly 100 excellent reviews from their customers. When I called before opening hours, I was trying to leave a voicemail but an employee answered the phone took my information and schedule an appointment. Same day service. Vasyl was our technician and he showed up right on time for the scheduled appointment. He walked us through what was happening and gave us a fair price for the service and told us that if this service required another part to be replaced that the current service fee would be placed towards the new part if needed. Terrible terrible terrible attitude from the get go. Parked in my neighbor's driveway and called me. When I told him he was in the wrong driveway, he seemed to complain and asked for my house number again as if I had provided a wrong house number initially online, which is not true. Then he comes inside, sees my fridge and asks me for a ladder! WTF? I had previously provided detailed make, model number and serial number of my fridge and the specific problem (a simple replacement of a plastic tube for a water line). With all of the information provided in advance, he should have known that it is a tall built in fridge. Nevertheless, to try and move things along, I brought him my ladder. Next he proceeds to climb the ladder and open the upper part of the fridge and begins taking out pieces of broken tubing and handing them to me, as if I am his helper assistant. Next, he quotes me two options with astronomical sums to do the work for a simple tube replacement that would not have taken more than 30 mins. I politely declined the offer but he continued to linger on in my house fiddling with his phone trying to send me an electronic receipt while engaging in a lengthy explanation for why the quoted charges are so high. I would have none of it, declined the service, paid the trip/diagnostic charge and sent him on his way. $50 paid for 10 minutes of visual diagnosis. I wish I was getting paid $500 per hour!
