Did this place deliver the food we ordered? Yes, honestly with speed. Not a bad place spotin that regard, but I wish they had better food. It's not like any of the food was downright bad, but all of it could have been better. My favorite dish they served was the Eggplant in Garlic sauce, truly not a bad dish. The mooshu pork was depressing, tasted like New Jersey. The scallion pancake was okay, but not great. The twice cooked pork was also pretty decent, just not exciting. I'd order from them again ecause it's concentient, but I don't think I would go in for a meal. Maybe choose a slightly nicer place, or just cook at home. Does'nt seem worth it to go there. read more

I haven't written a review on Yelp in years, but it was time to dust off the keyboard and get to typing. I grew up going to Tang Tang before it was Tang's garden. Their cold sesame noodles have a special place in my heart. When they closed Tang Tang I was devastated. But all was not lost as a few months later the restaurant re-opened as Tang's Garden. I was initially worried the cold sesame noodles wouldn't be the same, but thankfully they were. Flash forward to the pandemic Tang's garden closed and I was devastated all over again. I couldn't believe my eyes when I was walking down the street today and saw they were open again! I immediately dropped everything I was doing to try the cold sesame noodles and can confirm they are just as good as they always have been. Tang's Garden stop toying with my emotions and closing every few years only to re open. Please I urge everyone to go and eat their cold sesame noodles for breakfast lunch and dinner like I used to so they stay in business forever. read more

I stopped by while i was in the area and asked what they recommend & what's most popular. By their suggestion I got their sesame chicken and it was very good. I pay attention to detail when it comes to food and i liked their batter, sauce and meat ratio. Generous amount of actual chicken, as opposed to these places where just cover the batter with thick sauce with barely any chicken. So it was very satisfying. I got veggie dumplings as appetizer but that was just OK, nothing too spectacular about it, just average tasting dumplings. I don't have complaints. Would come back for another dish again. read more

I rarely write reviews let alone for inferior food but this place needs to be called out for what they serve, which was terrible, at best. I ordered Chinese Eggplant with Fried Rice per their lunch special. The Eggplant was squishy/mushy consistency (zero taste) with some weird brown sauce - overcooked? The Rice was even worse - also a similar but even more overcooked consistency. Wonton Soup was a passable 2* experience. Sad that a place like this botches easy to prepare dishes like the above. They come with the entree, and a choice of rice, white, brown of pork fried and a size like soup or egg roll. The portion of boneless spare ribs was huge as was the Szechuan style beef combo. Then, around 6:50pm I called back because I am not too far from the place and still hadn't received my order. They abruptly told me it was "out for delivery." After being stood-up by a blind date whom, I have been corresponding via e-mail for three weeks, when plans were set originally to either go to the MET or take a walk in Central Park he tried to compensate his lack of communication by taking me here for brunch. With a bad mood from being cold and wet from a very enchantingly nasty rainy Sunday of spending two long hours on the antiquated and very problematic New York City's subway system coming from Queens to Manhattan's Upper East Side combined for being stood-up; I've lost my appetite. We arrived at a table to seek bail from the nasty cold rainy weather which this blind date wore a rude scowl on his face which makes me wish to obtain the check faster than consuming my meal. Has dating become so low-class combined with lack of communication? Upon exiting the restaurant after our crappy meal was finished the disgruntled blind date rudely made a snide comment to the wait staff by pointing behind my back with: "she's pissed at me." Wontons are not automatically added in noodle soups unless specified which my blind date made a rudely demand to the waiter in requesting wontons. The restaurant appears rather shabby and needs TLC with cosmetic décor and structural changes. Since it's shabby, it does not appear clean.
