    Lemongrass pork bun cha
    Christine N.

First impression: n/a I ordered for delivery so can't say much on service or ambiance The Noms: lemon grass pork bun cha - generous portions, perfectly cooked vermicelli rice noodles. The meat was mostly tender and flavorful. I liked the nuoc mam, it was good. Cha gio (egg rolls): a bit overdone, the egg rolls tasted a bit burnt, but it was still good. Despite being ordered for delivery, the egg rolls weren't soft or oily when they arrived. In Conclusion: I'm always looking for good Vietnamese food... makes me less homesick for the food I'm used to having access to in California. Would come back here to try more menu items

"Good Vietnamese food is hard to find" -- a sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with. I've tried several other restaurants in Manhattan that have not exceeded my discerning tastes. That is, until I tried Vietnaam. Vietnaam really just does it for me. My favorite dish is their spicy beef pho with vermicelli noodles. Served with chili-infused broth and topped with slivers of brisket, the soup is meaty, garlicky, with just enough spice to add a slight kick without overwhelming the senses. I haven't tried their bahn mi yet, which I regret now after hearing how delicious it is. My husband contends it's the best bahn mi he's ever had. Because the restaurant is under renovation, you can only order via pick-up or delivery. As of the writing of this review, if you opt for pick-up, you will receive a 10% discount for each item. Pick-up is quick, usually taking about 5 to 10 minutes. If you've been searching for good Vietnamese food, give this place a shot. I'm glad I did.

I used to visit this restaurant in person, but now it seems they operate exclusively through delivery. It's a great spot for Vietnamese comfort food, offering a wide variety of dishes. We ordered the shrimp dumplings, which were plump and reminded me of har gow dim sum. I wish the bread on crispy shrimp sandwich (bánh mì) had been lighter. For me, that's an important key for a solid bánh mì. The shrimp bún xào and beef fried rice were both solid choices. One thing I appreciated when ordering online was the option to request less oil or add spice. I opted for less oil on both dishes and made the fried rice spicy, which gave it a nice kick.

I often order lemongrass pork chops when I have home parties and guests are always love this dish! It comes with salads and free rice. This time I also ordered spinach dumplings, which I loved! First time ordering spinach dumplings, it was completely filled with spinach with a thin wrap. And it came with a watery sauce, which was tangy and delicious! Definitely recommend vietnaam, also note they have 10% lunch specials plus an additional 10% for take out!

Still my favorite place to get Vietnamese food in the UES. I used to love dining in but they have been a take out only restaurant for a while now (covid and post covid) - not complaining. Their food is authentic, savory and delicious in the best ways! You can get a discount ordering off their website for lunch and an additional discount for pick up! I can't recommend this place enough!

Ordered online for a picked up and got a great deal, we love a good deal by the way and they have a lunch deal too. Yes, it's a bit more on the pricey side for Pho but overall the taste was decent, especially when the weather feels like 31 degrees outside and we didn't want to go across town. Guys, please this isn't orange county pho so of course the flavor isn't as strong, just decent to get back but not a cure for hangover that for sure. Banh mi was the highlight, that grilled pork was really good, I asked for less carrots and more cucumbers with sauce on the side, not a fan of soggy banh mi and this was perfect. Their thai tea is WOW. It's the brew kind and not the powder one, you can definately taste and I would know because my family used that thai brand of thai tea bag to brew it when we had a restaurant back in Texas.

This place is 100% going in our rotation for takeout! For people that don't know this place is currently take out only and it was ready so quickly and the quality was good! Everything we got was really really solid. The lemongrass pork bun bowl was our favorite thing as it was just a perfect blend of everything. The bahn mi was really solid and the bread was really soft. The wings surprised us as they were better than I expected! Forgot to take a pic of the shrimp and fish hot and sour soup. It was fine but I wouldn't get again.

I've been trying to find a viet place that has really good bun -- and I finally found it! I got the roast pork bun and it had the perfect ratio of noodles, veggies, and meat. sometimes restaurants add extra things to their fish sauce, but their sauce was perfectly simple. this place is currently take out only, but their service is still so great! they're currently giving 10% off for pick up orders & 10% off for lunch. would def go again.

I can't emphasize how excited I am for them to be here, bringing one of our best neighborhood bites to a new neighborhood which desperately needs more affordable and diversified options. This modern Vietnamese sandwich spot offers banh mi inspired by other East and Southeast Asian flavors. I personally like reaching for their regular banh mi and their lemongrass chicken banh mi. You would be remiss if you didn't get the banh mi or kimchi fries, and their monster rolls which are a newer creation but are essentially giant lumpia with any and all of the sauces they have available. Another plus is that they have pretty creative drinks, like their refreshers and virgin mojitos, for a nice little drink that isn't too calorie-dense depending on what you get. Welcome to the neighborhood Joju and I wish you all the success.

It's clearly more geared toward take out, and I fully intend to come back in the spring so I can take my sandwich to the park. I ordered the classic banh mi, with pork, headcheese, pork pate, mayo, carrot daikon slaw, cucumber, and cilantro. It was ready very quickly. The bun was perfectly toasted and fresh, crispy on the outside with a soft and light inside. For about $11 they packed a good amount of meat and veggies into the sandwich. The pork and headcheese were sliced nice and thin; and the fresh cilantro, crisp cucumber and tangy carrot/daikon complemented the meat nicely. My only complaint was that there was way too much mayo. I normally love mayo on a sandwich but even for me they put a lot. You can even see how much there is in the photo; I showed it to someone else and they thought it was cheese. Next time I think I'd tell them to go light on the mayo, or maybe get none at all.

Hanoi pho -- rich and beefy broth with flat white noodles; i personally rlly liked this dish and thought the noodles were perfect and soup had good flavor, but my mom and aunts did find it a bit salty for their liking. Lump crab noodles -- on the lighter side which i rlly enjoyed; it tasted like a light garlic noodle with some hints of parmesan. They do use real crab, but you can taste that it's made with frozen crab. I did find myself drinking a lot of water after a few bites and felt it was a lil saltier than my preference. Saigon shaking beef -- get this! Beef is so tender and cooked perfectly. The sauce and pairing with the arugula and veggies were so delicious. This was also my mom and aunts fav! The sauce was so good we used it on the crab noodles. Bun cha hanoi -- the grilled pork patties that come in a separate small bowl were the highlight of this dish. The main dish did lack fresh ingredients imo; half the veggies were wilted and the lettuce had some bitterness to it indicating it was prob not the freshest. The vermicelli was quite hard and imo not cooked enough. The grilled pork slices were good, but i think most viet places ive gone tasted similar. Id def come again tho! I think the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and the staff were honestly some of the friendliest ive seen! They were so attentive despite being so busy. I didnt have a reservation prior, but the staff were so nice and accommodating and got us seated quickly. I sat near the door and overheard some of their interactions with other guests, and def think service alone was amazing! There's a small tiki bar with some specialty cocktails that i def want to try next time, but despite it being quite a small restaurant there's quite a few tables.
