    Snow Cabbage Pork Rice Noodle Soup ($12.95) Wonton Soup (L - $8.95) Hot & Sour Soup (L - $8.95)
    Ryan H.

Try: Snow Cabbage Pork Rice Noodle Soup! Why: I was craving soup on a cold evening and enjoyed the Snow Cabbage Pork Rice Noodle Soup, which had lots of meat, veggies, and noodles. Broth was flavorful and pork strips were tender. I decided to also get Wonton Soup and Hot & Sour Soup, which were both good. The Hot & Sour Soup had a nice light spicy tang to it. Saved leftovers for lunch the next day and they were still yummy. I was hoping for a little more green veggies with wonton soup and perhaps some fried crispy wonton strips for the hot & sour soup. Overall, my taste buds were happy and belly was full! Notes: I ordered delivery for dinner and it came quickly. I thought prices were great for the amount of food. Would like to try their other items on menu like Miss Wonton's Favorites and Soup Dumplings!

Another dumpling spot on the upper east side! I had to give this place a try since it was so close to work. The spicy wontons were good but lacked the spice. Also, be careful not to splash the sauce when eating this dish. The pan fried dumplings were better but needed more frying time. Since this place is new, I expect improvements the next time I come. I look forward to trying the noodles. Price is on point with competitors in the neighborhood.

Newly opened just two weeks, they share the space with Kossar's Bagels & Bialys. Same owners! The setup is cute. There is only a little red bench available and it's quite small inside. I immediately noticed their signage as I was walking to Kossar's for some bagels for the fam, after work. While I was waiting for my bagel order, I noticed patrons in Kossar's eating with chopsticks and I thought it was odd to bring in food from other businesses to eat. After I received my order, I noticed the entryway that leads to Miss Wonton, connected to Kossar's. Naturally, I walked in to check the place out. It's a small operation and borrows the same color pallette at Kossar's. I love how they use the steamer baskets on the wall for decor. Since I already had a huge brunch order in tow, I only ordered a few dumplings to try them out. I opted for the fried pork, the shrimp & celery and the spicy chicken wontons. Lisa was manning the counter and she was very friendly. She said they've only been open for two weeks now, and upon inquiring about the connecting entrance, she told me that they share the same owner. I waited for a couple of minutes and had my dumplings in hand. I didn't want to wait until I got home so I tasted each order in my car. I love pan fried dumplings, but unfortunately, they only have pan fried pork or impossible dumplings. You can not get any of their other dumplings pan fried. Spicy Chicken Wonton - the aroma that traversed my nostrils was mouth-watering. You can smell the vinegar and spices. It gives a Szechuan vibe. I wish they were spicier because the font on the menu suggests they are really spicy but my 5 y/o was ok with the spice level when she tasted one at home which means it definitely was not spicy enough for me. Fried Pork Dumplings - these are constructed differently than I've seen. They look like mini fried pork burritos. They're cute. The dumpling sauce has a great umami flavor but the dumplings themselves, are kind of bland. I love a dumpling that can be eaten without any sauce. I mean, I love to dip, but the sauce is an added bonus IMO. The dumpling should be able to stand on its own. The filling ratio is good but it definitely needs more oomph. It was kind of a let down after trying the spicy chicken wontons which were way more flavorful, sitting in their own sauce. Shrimp & Celery Dumplings - these are steamed and they're cute little pockets of fresh shrimp. The shrimp flavor really stands out and the celery brightens it even more. Unfortunately, I experienced the same issue as with the pork dumplings; the filling needs more seasoning. It is again, a bit bland, although, the sauce is a great help. Biting a little hole and getting the sauce inside completely transforms the flavor. I'm glad I sometimes work in the area so I will get an opportunity to try more of their menu items in the future. They offer rice, noodle and soup dishes, so the possibilities are endless. This is comfort food for me and the cold weather has me craving it even more.

You can order here and eat next door at Kossar's Bagel as they are connected. Not a lot of people know about this so we got some strange stares. Food: Xiao Long Bao Pork and Crab soup dumplings - 1/5. Equivalent to getting a frozen bag and making these yourself. Braised beef noodle soup w/ wontons. If you are going to call yourself miss wonton then make better wontons. Beef noodle soup was 3/5. Wontons were 2/5 Dong Jin Rice Bowl - a stir fry dish. This was actually good. 4/5

As served, soup separate to keep noodles from overcooking.

Sparkling clean new space. Room to sit and dine in attached restaurant. Mostly Cantonese style menu. Priced reasonably. $15-$16 beef and chicken. $17 for shrimp. Some specials more. Ordered the house special Wonton Noodle Soup with extra Wonton. Served ready to go in a deep disposable bowl. Soup separate. The soup was excellent with lots of traditional flavor. With the extra Wonton I counted 8. Wonton were mostly pork with just an occasional hint of pink shrimp. Shanghai Bok Choi added. Topped with dried seaweed like nori. Noodles were typical but not special. However the bowl was full and filling. The Nextdoor space is Kosars and the emailed receipt was under their name. Kosars sells sandwiches, breakfast, wraps, bagels and smoothies.

Food was not bad but the reason I'm giving 1 star is because I ordered General Tso's tofu, but found a piece of chicken in my food. It is unmistakably chicken because of the smell and texture. I'm assuming it happened because of a shared fryer. But if they are using a shared fryer for the tofu and chicken then the tofu should not have been labeled as vegan. My mouth and tongue are itching so who knows what else was in that fryer. I really wanted to like this place, I did enjoy the dumplings, but it's dangerous to label food as vegan, when it is not as some people eat vegan due to allergies.

Spicy chicken wonton ~~yum yum YUM!!! Sorry gobbled them up before taking a proper pic. Taste is insanely great!!

Off the charts amazing!! Would give 10 stars for their wontons if I could! Got the spicy chicken wontons and will definitely be back to try other menu items. Fernando at the counter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu to suggest best items to suit your tastebuds!

The restaurant felt homey and I could tell there were many regulars and other return visitors, for good reason! Ordered: Masala Chai ($4.50)- this tasted authentic, was nicely spiced, and wasn't too sweet. I only wish the cup was bigger. Steamed momo ($12+)- I like how you have the option to mix and match. We ordered the mixed vegetable and the oyster mushroom and surprisingly I much preferred the oyster mushroom variety. The mixed vegetable momo tasted more earthy to me. Himalayan rice set ($20.5)- this was a very nice assortment- there was rice, lentil dal, your protein of choice- (I chose beef brisket), stir fried cabbage, broccoli rabe, pickled vegetables and crisp flatbread. The only downside in my opinion was that the brisket wasn't too tender and I didn't love the beef flavoring or preparation. The rest of the items were so delicious! I've been thinking about this meal ever since I left the restaurant. You don't want to skip this place.

The prices are definitely on the high end and you feel that right away when you look at the menu. The first time I went was on a Monday evening. The service that night was good and pleasant from the host to the waitress to the bar. Everyone was professional and attentive which made the experience better. Food wise it was mixed for me. I had a salad and it was bland so I would not order that again. We also had the chicken and shrimp satay which were just ok. The shrimp has a very heavy tempura breading so you definitely have to like that style because it is not light at all. The lobster fried rice was extremely salty which was disappointing especially at that price point. I went back a second time on a Saturday later in the evening just for drinks and had a completely different experience. The host staff was rude and the way my group was spoken to was not ok. Even though I stayed for a drink I will not return after that interaction. Overall the concept is trendy and upscale and the menu is similar to other high end Asian fusion spots in the city, but between the inconsistent service and the food not matching the prices it is not somewhere I would go back to.

Be aware that the lighting is dim and the background noise is loud! The front bar room is so loud that you have to shout with your guest. Our party of 6 was seated in a tiny booth which we had to ask for an additional chair to accommodate us. Service (5/5): We were able to get someone's attention to order and we were refilled on water often. The food was organized by appetizers and entrees that arrive all at the same time. The wait between ordering and food felt reasonable to short. The waiter also specified that certain dishes quantity (i.e. potstickers) could be increased to accommodate our party size for an extra cost. Food (5/5): TLDR; every dish was honestly SO good; I was surprised and will rank the items by 'must get' to skippable: Short Rib Bao Bun (3 pc): The short rib was so tender and flavorful. The bao bun was soft. The sauce was thick and worked well with the short rib. Pork Potstickers (5 pc): I preferred this over the lobster and scallion dumplings. The exterior skin is pan-fried with a nice glaze, hint of truffle. The bite was umami from the creaminess of the Parmigiano Reggiano. Chicken Satay (3 pc): The 3 pieces of chicken were relatively large, very tender, seasoned well. They were well complemented with the peanut sauce that is worth keeping to dip into other things! Don't sleep on the side of spicy cucumber salad, which was so well balanced in tartness and flavor. Pad Thai: This is one of the best Pad Thai I've ever had! The flavors are bursting, with a balance of sweetness, nuttiness from the peanuts, and tartness from a squeeze of lime. Peking Duck for 2: This dish is definitely more than enough for our party of 6 and appeared to be a half serving of the whole duck. The duck pieces are pre-cut for us to self-assemble into the wraps (not the usual bao bun but like thin tortilla wraps). I think I counted 8 wraps? Triple Pork Fried Rice: The rice has a lot of depth and generous chunks of pork. The rice is thicker than regular jasmine with a more chew which I liked. Dragon Tail Spare Ribs: Although this has a nice flavor, handling with your fingers makes them super sticky for your whole dining experience. The restaurant should give out wet towelettes if this dish is ordered!! Meat was tender and easy to chomp off the bone. Tuna Tartare: A small quarter-sized tartare dollop is served atop a small cube bread. The fish was fresh, presentation was beautiful. Was hoping for more tartare for the price point but it was very good. Overall, the dish was not filling so would skip if the party is hungry. Lobster and Scallop Dumplings: Great flavor with reasonable chunks of meat inside. Just preferred the potstickers a lot more! Bok Choy: Pieces were chopped in half and cooked with a nice crunch. Topped with something that gave it more texture. The garlicy taste was forward (in a good way). Rainbow Roll: While it was fresh and the individual pieces were large in portion, this felt like any other sushi roll. Skip this! Side of White Rice is $9?! That's theft and is skippable The amount of food ordered was probably a little more than what we needed but glad we ordered as many as we did.

They had a crispy exterior and a slightly chewy but not tough interior. I would order those on their own as an appetizer. The star of the plate for me was the bread. The owner who spoke to us told us he makes it himself and it shows how much care he put into baking it. The structure of the crumb was airy with a crunchy crust. I loved the addition of fennel and raisins for sweetness and a touch of warmth. The only small tweak that I would make to this is to add something fresh like a side salad or sautéed greens, as i think the bitterness would round out the flavors. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! I am hoping to see their plant based selection expand
