He never explained that he had two people who wanted to sit with a family member. I want to be open and not say that what happened next was due to my race but the two newly seated people where then assign an employee who started serving them. I waited and waited and he sat other people and since I was starring at him he said oh, you're next. I won't be back. Service matters! How you treat people matters.

They left dust and excess clear coat all over her fingers and the gel polish is very streaky and different shades, it looks like they did two different colors but did not. She filed them after she painted them so the tips are all white and weird now. They look splotchy. Not worth the price and even after I asked her to fix it she didn't. This is what we left with - they thought this was a good "final" gel mani. And I sat there waiting for my turn and about 15 min before they closed (my daughter was almost done) a man asked if I was ready for my gel mani. I told him nevermind. We won't be back here even though it's right down the road from our new apt.

She runs a great business, provides excellent results, and is pleasant to talk to. The facility is clean, beverages are offered, and the facility is spacious and pretty. She remembers me from prior visits which makes me feel valued, as does the receptionist. The color selection is large, including new seasonal colors just added! My difficult nails simply look better and last longer than other places. I've had GelX, Acrylic, and Dip from Phoebe as well as pedicures from the other techs, and love it all every time. The massage chairs are comfortable and relaxing. A nail tech and pedicure tech will work on both at the same time to allow me to get in & out of there quicker. This seems to be a Texas practice, it was new to me when I moved here and I do like it to help manage my busy working mom schedule. When I have the time, I may reserve my nails separate from my pedi to be able to fully enjoy the massage chair as needed to turn it off during any detailed nail work. My first summer with Phoebe included many different colors and designs on my nails. She never disappointed and always checked to make sure I liked it! My 4th of July nails were my absolute favorite with blue & red nails and a few well placed stars. Phoebe also did marbling for me one time, and I was truly amazed at her artistry. So beautiful. The area is growing rapidly, so recommend making an appointment, but walk ins are welcome. I REALLY appreciate that I can text to schedule an appointment as it is hard to make calls during the day. Also, Bliss offers a cash discount!!! Thank you!! My understanding is Phoebe purchased this business a couple? few? years ago, with significant previous experience. This is my second time going to Starry nail spa. I went back because the first time I had a…read morepleasant experience and they did a good job with mani/pedi and adding on acrylic nails and painted toenails. When I went back this second time it was a living nightmare! First off they lack workers so you have to wait even the first time I went. This second time I was worked on by a man who immediately started working on painting my toenails without beginning my pedicure. When I brought it to his attention he said "afterwards". I was dumbfounded. He asked me to pick out colors. I picked out three and showed him a picture of the look I was going for, which was a French look. He dismissed what I told him and started painting the whole nail a solid color. I said "no sir like the picture". He says something to me in his native language and again the same thing happened as we proceeded. I said "like the picture" The picture had designs on the nails and he said "I don't do designs and pointed to a lady worker and said "She do". I told him "don't worry about the design. It's the colors. I want just a line of color". He then pulls my foot and scraped it across the foot sink. I asked for the manager. He said, "I am manager". I told him he was being hostile with me. He said I was the difficult one. I would have walked out but I needed the service done before a wedding the upcoming weekend. When the other worker finished with her customer, he told her to start with me. He continued being hostile towards me the whole way through. She started on my hands and shortly after another customer walked in. She left me to go with that customer and I asked why and she said "she client". I guess I chopped liver. So this made the manager even more upset because now he had to start working on my manicure and nails. No manicure, he went straight to the adding the nails. Same hostility. After the woman worker named Jenny finished with her "client" he told her to come work on me. Her and I had a conversation and she said he was the manager and "he never works, he never likes to work". Now the same thing happened with Jenny because she used two different colors after I chose only one color and when I brought it to her attention she said she forgot, "she can't fix no more". The manager walks over to me and they start talking again in their native language and he yells at me "you difficult customer". I am crying by this time. Not wanting empathy but am appalled at the treatment I was getting. When he walked away I asked Jenny for the owner's name. She said she didn't know. I ask when he/she comes to the salon, again she replied "I don't know". When I was done I paid for my service and wasn't going to tip but I did anyway because Jenny did half a better job than the manager Dan or Dein did, and I paid a pretty steep price. I asked Dein for the owner's information and he said they never come to the store. He tried buttering me up and attempted small talk with me, something he didn't do when he was servicing me. Again I asked for the owner's information and Jenny says, "we don't know. They don't come here". I just walked off. The following morning when I showered my two acrylic toenails fell off. I went into panic mode because I was not going to go back to that hostility. I beg you and warn you not to go to this salon!!! There are so many to choose from in Melissa. First time coming to this location. I had a manicure and a remnants of what was supposed to be a pedicure. - Pedicure: The main issue came with the pedicure. I have calluses and the tech (I believe her name was *Mimi) did not remove any callus at all. I gently explained I get pedis really often and I can tell the callus scrape was too dull and the removal was the main reason I'm here. She said it was not dull and something about applying Vaseline.... I have No idea what she was talking about. I have gone to countless salons and have NEVER HAD AN ISSUE receiving the callus treatment I paid for. I asked her if I could leave, no massage no anything she did polish only. If callus removal was subpar I am sure the rest of the service would be a waste of time and oil to cover her lack of callus removal. I notified management as I left. I mentioned I did not want to get her in trouble and he responded "no one is in trouble, no one is babysat here" and proceeded to charge me what I am estimating is half price for the "pedicure" + full for the manicure. - Manicure: Initially the tech doing my manicure kept commenting on how I bite my nails, how's it a bad habit etc. After the 3rd time you commented, Thank you ma'am I didn't realize my lifelong issue would be magically fixed by your repeated comments. Paid because the manicure was done regardless. -Overall: I really despised this experience as a busy mom I never really get time to have a moment and this was a complete waste of time and energy.
