I'm really confused on the reviews here. I've been coming to this salon for a couple of years now. I get the stylist Emily Ann. I absolutely love her! When you walk in it's decorated very cute and always clean! I get seated and they get me a beverage. Emily greets me and asks what I'm wanting to do and she does an amazing job every time! When you get your hair done it's going to be expensive. It's a luxury! Try going to downtown Dallas and get these services. You'll be paying $500 and up and that's without a haircut! So I didn't get my hair done here but I can say this I booked an appointment sent them videos of my hair and told Them what I needed done they told me it'd be 160$ went in just to be told they couldn't do it to rebook and told me it'd be 300$ plus instead so I really wouldn't recommend read more

Krislynn did an amazing job with my cut and style. From the welcoming greeting as I walked in, to the head/neck massage during the shampoo, to understanding and giving the cut I requested. I have been coming to 209 salon since I moved to Texas for a couple years now. I was so excited they opened one in Melissa And been going there since. I really like it that they had one to close my house. Very convenient. I had recommended Yzma to my family. My dad, mom, sisters and even my daughter gets their hair done hair by Yzma. We go to her because we trusted her and we stay loyal. But at this point I am very disappointed with her, staff ( Yolanda and front desk receptionist) and Owner Rich. I wasn't going to write a review however given the similar experience outline above I feel like obliterated to advise of my experience. While it can be expected that anyone can have a bad day and demonstrate questionable actions this was two consecutive days of poor customer service. Yzma was the stylist who I have scheduled with. I came 30 min earlier to my appointment because i received a text message stating Yzma had an opening. When I arrived 25 min later. Yzma looked annoyed and frustrated. Not a "hello" or " how are you" She asked what I needed with a snotty attitude. I brushed it off because I figured she was having a bad day. She was discussing her business with me and others that she is frustrated that her passport wasn't going to be ready for her upcoming trip. I am a very observant person and I can tell she was rushing throughout the whole process with my hair. The next day my mother gets her hair done By Yzma. during her process my mom calls me very upset and I can tell something was wrong. She was telling me that Yzma had messed up her hair and she was not listening to her. They " washed" her hair with a spray bootle because they were in a hurry and they didn't wanted to do their JOB! They struggled brushing it because obviously it wasn't washed correctly. Instead of fixing the issue she noticed one of the assistant Joanna and the front receptionist laughing. Very wrong and unprofessional. She told me she will call me after her hair appointment . She called me maybe 30 minutes later and as I picked up I can hear my mom trying to express her concerns To staff that she was not happy with Yzma and quality of her work. I can also hear hear Yzma arguing and yelling in the background. I was speechless. I can hear Yzma yelling in the back and they called the police on my hair because my mom obviously didn't want to pay for the work Because she wasn't going to pay $216 for something she wasn't happy with. I mean who would? Let's be real here. The police came and told my mom that in the state of Texas you have to pay. What is funny that even the police said he wouldn't pay either if that happened to him but unfortunately she had to pay. He mentioned that this is not the first time they get call from this salon. Says a lot right! I called the other salon to talk to Rich The owner. Oh my god! I am beyond in shock! So he was not there and I asked if he can reach out to me . NO call back nothing At all. My father reached out either way on the behalf of my mom. Rich already made his decision and blamed it on my mom. He stated since he had all of these wonderful reviews it doesn't matter. He didn't want hear about the situation and he hung up on my father. Really ? What kind of owner is this? This is so unprofessional!!!! Other salons I know the owners wouldn't be so arrogant about his reviews and would try to fix the issue in some say and at least hear someone out. it's not okay treat customer like that and let your staff get away with this. I AM OBSESSED WITH MY HAIR . Yzma is a MIRACLE worker like.... when I say that I absolutely love my cut and hair color I mean it, just look at it!!!! I've gotten so so soooooo many compliments that I look like a greek goddess. She is so sweet, understanding and patient; I honestly feel bad that she deals with a-lot of clients that don't know what they want and blame everyone except themselves lol. Yzma was recommended to me by one of my model friends, turns out she does almost every models hair which is quite funny but I honestly don't blame them, she knows what she's doing. I've never felt so confident in my curls, I didn't know what to do with them and she guided me the whole way, I am very grateful and we will all continue coming back to her until the end of time. And to mention the staff is so polite, I showed up, was greeted right away and was offered drink! The location is super clean, modern and spacious. I do want to mention they do get pretty booked up on the weekends, if you want to book with Yzma do it in advance since there tends to be limited availability. Once again thank you so much! Don't waste your time or money! I went here the first time and wasn't happy with my color or cut and because I was referred to them I thought well I'll give them a second chance but with another stylist! When I went back I asked for what I wanted as far as a cut and color and walked out with nothing I asked for and a $400 bill! Absolutely ridiculous! I've had hair down my back for years and have never paid more than $150 and that's including the tip! This stylist just did what she wanted to do and that didn't include anything I asked for! So I definitely won't be going back! I have since found an amazing stylist and salon and one of the first things that I asked is do you have different levels of stylist because this place charges based on the level of the stylist you have. The new salon said no! My bill at the new salon was $200 but that's because they are having to fix what this salon did! read more

You are a scam. Unethical. The stylist qualified my wife and the lady running the desk asked what code to use. She said use "VIP". She then charged my wife $350.00 for some highlights, not coloring her entire hair color. Is this a car dealership? To qualify and charge as much as you can? Reporting you to BBB. Horrible service and quality! I went to this salon to have Yzma retouch my highlights, but she got the color completely wrong and the highlight definition was not what I asked for, so I asked her to fix that. The highlights different colors (too light to medium colored), the definition in the back was wrong, and the base was 3 or 4 different colors. So, I trusted that Yzma would be able to fix it. Wrong! Yzma continued to make things worse by not addressing the problem that she created and to top things off, instead of washing my hair she wiped out the product using a spray bottle and a rag. This left too many chemicals in my hair, and I could smell the chemicals burning as she attempted to dry my hair. Yzma continued to struggle to get a brush through my hair only to become tangled and damaged. Yzma became rude and showed a lack of professionalism as I requested for the product to be cleaned out properly by washing my hair. She seemed to be in a rush and not interested in fixing the problems that she created. I had been very patient throughout the whole process, but I told her I wasn't going to pay full price for such a horrible job as I would have to just go somewhere else and have it fixed. I was very frustrated with Yzma and the staff, so I stepped out the front door to call my husband to come help me. The staff became irrational and called the police while I was literally standing right in front of the door talking on the phone to my husband, with no intention of leaving. As my husband drove up, the police arrived, and I explained the problem and what had happened. Although they understood my position and that even though I received bad service and a bad product, I would have to pay first then take it to court. Also, they mentioned that they were aware of this salon as it wasn't the first time they have had the same complaints. The next day, we called and spoke to the owner, who is downright arrogant regarding the whole matter and blamed me for the whole ordeal, when he wasn't even there! He completely failed to address the issues that I had and only sought to blame me as a customer for getting frustrated with Yzma. So, no matter how I feel about the quality of the result, I am wrong? What sort of customer service is that? I am now in tears, out of more than $200, left with a bad highlight, and damaged hair. All I can do now is go to a more reputable salon to get this fixed. So, beware that if you go here you are gambling with the outcome. Bad service and horrible results don't matter to the management here. I do not recommend anyone else suffer through an experience like this. Find a different salon, don't gamble with your hair or money here! So many other salons are PROFESSIONAL and offer REAL customer service, not some arrogant owner with an attitude. read more
