I didn't really have an idea of what I wanted just what I didn't want. The hours on here are incorrect. She did not add layers and refused to curl her hair because she said that she only cuts hair. I asked THE OWNER!!!! to blend my top layer to the bottom and she did nothing but clean up my ends, used a curling iron to cover my hair when every stylist before has use a straightening iron to do the waves, no blending whatsoever charge me $75 for nothing!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We have been loyal clients of this salon since 2021 and have always left pleased, even when working with a different stylist each visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, our most recent experience was deeply disappointing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our 9:00 a.m. Saturday appointment was delayed to 10:30 a.m. due to our stylist waking with a migraine. I understood and was fine with the reschedule.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we returned, I explained in detail what my daughter wanted--"wine"-colored highlights on top and a full "wine" color underneath, so that lifting the hair would reveal two distinct shades. I also provided inspo photos my daughter found and the look she was trying to achieve. After nearly six hours in the chair, I was told her hair wasn't taking the color as expected, but the stylist would try again. Once finished, her hair was a single solid purple shade all over, with no visible highlights. While I could accept the color being off, the absence of highlights on top and the intended two-tone effect was the real issue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rather than acknowledge this or discuss options to address it, both the stylist and gentleman repeatedly affirmed the work and took photos, without any sign of accountability or sincere concern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At that point, I paid and left--$386 plus an additional tip--for a result that was neither what we requested nor consistent with the quality we've experienced in the past. Genuienly, this happened four years ago, but it still doesn't sit right with me [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was happy with my stylist but the owner of the salon allowed her client to talk about my choices for hair coloring. She allowed her to belittle my choice while I sat in the seats right next to them. Amanda waxed my eyebrows and had me laughing the whole time!! Amazing personality! She actually showed me how they were supposed to be shaped and has them on the road to recovery. I don't even have the words to properly describe how happy I am with my hair. I haven't had my hair done professionally in a long time and it was a disaster after my at home hair color treatments that I did myself....for years. I told Michelle what I wanted and she literally got it done. I have never been this happy with my hair and we are so lucky here in Prosper to have this hidden gem named Michelle. She really knows how to do color and seems to have a knack for difficult blondes. I am soon going back for a Brazilian Blowout so I will likely add to this review then. It was my first time to this salon. I arrive there and the stylist I had the appointment with, was doing color to someone. She was notified that her next client has arrived, and she decides to have a conversation with the client she was doing color even after the job was done, knowing that I am right behind her waiting. I requested the color to be light, ended up being much darker that what I wanted. Haircut was average and the price for the service extremely expensive. Never going back there. We're new to the state and saw such great reviews for this place. I brought pics and written instructions as to how to do my hair color. I wanted chunky highlights just like the pic and I got skinny. My hair was also bleached to lighten the highlights and that has ruined the texture of my hair. I've not had my hair bleached in 25 years. It took 6 hours to color and cut my hair! Never has that happened before to me. I'm there to get my hair done like I've always had it done and showed pics and brought the formula numbers. They either were too inexperienced to do that or they just did what they wanted. Nice people but not experienced enough to do my hair. Not going back. Response to Michelle below since it didn't let me attach my response to her's: my hair was not as in as bad a shape as described, but the amount of damage after Prosper Hair was unacceptable. If the stylist is so experienced, then why was my hair and highlights not done together? They over processed my hair. That shows inexperience and the cut was also substandard. This review is for my son Chris. Alicia cut his hair for him a couple weeks ago. He is 15, and his hair is a big deal to him. Alicia did a great job! He was pretty comfortable with her, and although he was apprehensive when we walked in because there were no men in the salon, he was happy when we left. Salon is nice. The people in there are pretty friendly. Better than some places we have been to. I highly recommend Alicia for short haircuts or guy haircuts. I went to this salon twice, at the recommendation of some ladies in my neighborhood. I was really put off after the first appointment but decided to go back for my follow up appointment a few months later. I'll tell you, the stylists that work there are great. Friendly, funny, give you lots of attention and care about what you want and need. But the owner is absolutely terrible to be around and unfortunately my appointments were with her. Im not saying she is a bad stylist, but she is a very negative, nasty person to be around. She really made both appointments entirely uncomfortable. She complains about everything, treats her staff like they are all stupid and servants, talks down to all of them, talks very loud, has conversations with everyone else but you, whispers to other people (like gossiping about employees behind their backs), doesn't really pay attention to what you actually want, can't even remember what side you part your hair, double and triple books clients and then goes back and forth working on each of them, making them wait long periods in between, and seeming angry the whole time. Takes personal phone calls while working on your hair. Etc. etc. The first time I went, I had an early appt. on a Saturday morning. I pulled in a little before the scheduled time and could tell nobody was there so I waited in my car. She drove in, and started opening up the shop. I walked up and said something like "I guess you're here for me, huh? " And she scowled at me and said "yea, I guess. Its supposed to be my day off!" And after the 4-5 hour service, I was ready to make my follow up appt and she said, well I'll be in NY at the blah blah blah show, so why don't you come back in (it was like 4 months...for coloring). I said, but my hair grows pretty fast and my roots will grow out in 4 weeks. She said well just do a root touch up until then, and then we will do full head again.So I did. She had done special highlights and color lifting that I didn't want to mess up . It was like $400 for that visit. So I used boxed root touch up and waited and waited. When I arrived for the second appt, she checked me in and said. "Ok, so we are just doing a root touch up, right? And I said no, you said a full coloring.Anyway, it went downhill from there. When I was checking out, and making the next appointment, she said... ok so you come again in 8 weeks. I said that my hair grows very fast and I need to come sooner. She said ok, six weeks then. I said- no, my hair grow very, very fast and i will need a touch up in no longer than 4 weeks. She looked at me and said "6 weeks! I will not do it sooner than that!" I never went back. I will not pay that much money to be subjected to all that BS and negativity and I honestly don't know how anyone could work for her. read more

Well I can't speak for everyone at this establishment but Terry M. has been doing my hair for 2 years. My hair is extremely curly and grays quickly. Terry does an amazing job of keeping my curls tame and her color skills are on point. She goes out of her way to make feel extra special as well as the owner's husband Sal. I moved from Celina out to Melissa and still drive there every 4 weeks for color with TerryM ( hair cut when needed). First of all this place has a very disrespectful and rude owner! I had the worst experience ever. I got the karetin treatment and the job was not done correctly. I paid $195 to just sit for 4 hours and waste my time. I explained to the guy (owner) and he went ahead and assured me that they would re-do the work for free. The day I go back to get my hair re-done they try and move my spot to a later time without notifying me. The owners wife is the person I felt was so rude and unprofessional. Mike did my hair and really checked upon me frequently what was my need and expectation. The rest of the staff is very friendly too. Highly satisfied. Very accommodating in scheduling appointments. The ambiance is a nice one too. Only con is they don't display or show the actual product that they have used in my hair, as I am very particular about what goes in my hair. Don't bother unless you want to leave feeling worse than when you came in. The stylist acted like she did not want to be there and gave off the attitude to match. Not warm or welcoming in any way. I expect a stylist to know what needs to be done to enhance ones appearance without being told from A to Z and the steps to follow. As for the skill set, lets start from the top.. Charging $45 for a trim, when the stylist herself states that there is not much to cut, is more than just a little unreasonable. Charging $30 for toner, when the only reason it was used was to fix her own mistake is outlandish. Not to mention that the toner used brought tears to my eyes and left my scalp burning in pain. That is NOT okay or normal, no matter what the stylist may think. The stylist couldn't even wash the hair without adding additional discomfort and pain. Do you not see the client flinching? It is not a tick!. Requested to go lighter in color, instead left darker. Asking her coworkers on their opinion when you see the client is visibly upset and unhappy with the result is just insulting. For $150 highlights, I expected professional results not amateurish. The skillset was lacking, the supplies used were cheap and low grade. Went there with my crew of 5 based off of the reviews. I was excited because every single person that left a review was apparently treated, and came out looking like a rockstar. This was definitely not our experience. Michael was in charge of my mom and one of my daughters hair. He was so incredibly rude!! Apparently I didn't know I was supposed to specify what type of color my mom needed. I had no clue that when I said she needed cut and color that was not good enough (she has very short hair). The man bullied and threw a tantrum. My mom was so uncomfortable she just told him to do the cut. She didn't want him coloring her hair the way he wanted to do it and was afraid he would do a crappy job because he wouldn't get his way. He was concerned he didn't have enough time. So he just did a simple cut. Fast forward to over an hour later...... he spent more time talking then it would've taken to cut and "foil" her hair. Then came my boys. China did their hair. She was sincerely awesome. Although when I showed her the cuts I wanted she informed me that she didn't know how to do boys cuts. I think if you're booking appointments for little boys and asking their age you would think to say "hey, we don't really do boys cuts". Everyone except Michael was super nice. Updated review: Why is it the first time you go to a new stylist they do exactly what you want but after that it's hit or miss? Had my second cut with Emily and very disappointed. Disappointed To the point that I had to go back in to have her "tweak" it. I was told to arrive at 11:45 and she would work me in; I arrived promptly at 11:45 and they worked me in at 12:45! This for a five minute fix. I'm not sure what she did with this time but the cut is still awful. I met my daughter for lunch afterwards and even she could see the problem with my hair. Anyway, went home and did some cutting away myself and I managed to make it at least workable until I go in for another haircut with another stylist . I will say Emily did a great job with the color on my hair. The three stars are for the color but the haircut would only be at two at best. I feel really bad giving this review because she's really sweet but I'm not sure what she did with my hair!
