My first time in with an appointment. I had to wait as she took a walk in and I waited. McKenzie was very busy. The partial highlight she did was good. Looking around and watching the other workers I can clearly see they are gifted at what they do. This shop has a homey feel to it, like neighborhood. The receptionist was most helpful too. read more

Absolutely atrocious!!! I asked for long layers, the lady was randomly cutting my hair, clearly not knowing what she's doing, couldn't blow dry my hair either, another lady had to take over and try to fix the layers and semi flatten my curly hair. They left my ends worse than before, you could feel the puffiness off the scalp, worst blow out of my life. If you have curly hair, do not come here!!! read more

I am always hesitant about writing a so/so review and especially dislike rating any business negatively. I think I can summarize my review of D3 by saying it's just not for me. I needed a color, highlight and cut and was new to the area so I researched on Yelp and chose to give D3 a shot. It was a quiet time during the day when I walked in for my appointment. My hair needed a cut urgently and the stylist 'restored' it to a much better look which was manageable for me to style. It was nice to meet the other stylists, learn a bit about their 'stories', and the salon was clean and well decorated. What didn't do it for me was the TMI my stylist disclosed. Sometimes less is more and therefore I decided not to return for future services. read more

Yelp says to be mindful of businesses doing "their best" during Covid-19. D3 Salon is practicing the polar opposite of face covering mandates. They encouraged me to take my mask off and I politely declined. No employees wearing any type of facial covering. They said that they do not believe in it and it's their right. I agree they have a right to do what they please within the law, but businesses are not free to disregard the rules of social distancing and measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 mandated by our government. Also, they are wrong to act in a manner which is likely to increase the spread of the virus with such carelessness. I decided to cancel my appointment and told them I was going somewhere else. One of the employees said "you must've voted for Biden huh?!? I walked out without replying. If you want a high probability of catching Covid-19, this is the place for you. I do not recommend and will never refer anyone to D3 ever again. -No longer a loyal customer. read more

No one was wearing a mask. I felt completely uncomfortable while getting my haircut!!! I no longer will be coming to D3 Salon. It is a shame because they cut great hair but not wearing a mask during a pandemic is just disrespectful. How are you going to have a sign on the door to wear masks and not have any on? I've been coming here for several months now for a men's haircut, and I highly recommend Debbe and her team. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and more importantly, they always do an excellent job on my hair! The price is great as well. I've always found it difficult to find a place or person who does a consistently good job on my hair, but have had nothing but great haircuts since coming to D3. Oh yeah, and my wife comes here too! This salon is spectacular! My adorable Mom has been coming for color/cuts since February of 2019 and we are hooked! We won the lottery of stylists when my Mom's first appointment was with Mr. Tony Hadfield...he has become a true life hero for our family. Mr. Hadfield treats my Mom like royalty, and his talent with her hair, brows, and appearance, is matched only by the charming way he draws her into reciprocal conversations that are beyond precious. The salon is darling, the stylists are cheerful, impeccably put together, and incredibly gracious. My Mom uses a walker and/or wheelchair and it took us quite a while to find a salon that matched her expectations and mine, in terms of her safety. When I scheduled her first appointment, I hesitantly asked if the salon could accommodate a new client in a wheelchair. I was so reassured when the response was a resounding, "yes!" Let me tell you....if you want your hair to flawless and you want it done with a light budget, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and PERFECT coloring by professionals, GO TO THIS SALON. Period. I went to this place with a style and color in my mind and I left with exactly what I imagined, only better. I have jet black, curly, thick hair and my stylist gave me the transformation of the century. I went in and told her I wanted a modern hair cut (Mohawk with shaved sides and blow out on top) and also told her I wanted my hair to be fully died platinum. Some stylist would see this as too big of a change and intimidated by the amount of time and effort that goes into turning black hair into platinum in one sitting. Not only was she delighted to do this for me but didn't let me leave this place dissatisfied. She toned and bleached it until the color was achieved even though it took several attempts. Even when things went sour with the lifting of color she never gave in and threw in the towel. These people have a real love for what they do and it shows. All stylists are experts in their work and professional in every way. They're main goal is to make their customers happy and they will not compromise with anything less. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT D3 SALON!!!!!!! I recommend them highly if you love your hair and want to feel and look amazing. read more

I went in for full highlights. I have been "working" on lightening my very dark brown hair to ash blonde (w icy pieces) for over a year. I was at the point where I felt like my hair was orange and that no one was really listening to my request. Stormie did an amazing job getting me closer to my goal - and I can see the ash and icy pieces - a true first in my blonde hair journey! I will try the salon again, but request a more seasoned stylist. They give you the new person when you are coming for the first time. I basically had a high school student who had just graduated cosmetology school doing my hair, and she worked too quickly and was kinda sloppy with the highlight foils. Like, the foil wasn't right against my scalp and it looked like the highlights had already grown out a months worth walking out the door with fresh highlights and spending over $100. (And she yammered my ear off about her high school problems for the 3 hours it took her to complete my full highlights, that may have been the most painful part) I really don't think it should take so long either! read more

I love D3 salon. I have been to so many high end hair salons and am willing to spend money to get a nice cut. What I love about this Salon is it a beautiful salon with a high end feel but with fair prices. I feel like I am getting pampered without being overcharged for a haircut. I'm from Chicago and trying to relocate to Dallas. Had an interview all the way out in Little Elm today and since I can't do my own hair unless it's washing and combing it, i called this place almost at closing the night before to see if they could fit me in before my interview. They fit me in, great! Already I love this place. I show up (5 mins late) and Cindy is waiting for me at reception and I start apologizing and she had such a great attitude about it. I explain my situation and what I would like done and she takes me over to wash my hair in the very nice adjustable sinks; always a plus. Side note:*One of the cleanest hair salons I have ever been in and I have been in MANY. If they are reading this they know I had quite a morning and I want to say I have never been so accommodated for just a quick blow dry and style in all my life! Lol, I seriously cannot say enough great things about the customer service here And my FABULOUS blow out which is STILL in tact after a full 12 hours. If you are ever in the area or looking for a new salon, please try them out! They are great and the pricing on other services seemed very reasonable, again I was just getting a blow dry and style but still glanced. read more
