What I went in with and what I was left with were two completely different things, and the damage has required significant time, money, and effort to try to correct. What has been even more upsetting is seeing other people come forward with similar concerns about damage to their hair. I brought my concerns to the salon owner, Natalie, hoping she would take the situation seriously and work toward a reasonable resolution. Instead, in my experience, there has been a complete lack of accountability for what happened. I have felt dismissed rather than supported as a paying client whose hair was damaged by a service performed at her salon. I understand that not every service turns out perfectly, but there is a major difference between an imperfect result and significant hair damage. Mistakes can happen--the way a business responds afterward says a lot. I wish Natalie had acknowledged what happened, taken responsibility for the salon's role, and made a genuine effort to resolve the situation. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this salon to do their research, ask detailed questions about the health and integrity of their hair before allowing chemical services, and document their hair before and after their appointment. I would never want another person to experience the damage and frustration I have experienced.

I cannot even put into words how much I loved my experience at Salon Le Volume. Just walking in the door I knew instantly that I was in good hands. The attention to detail by Abby is amazing. My hair was in desperate need of a cut and my color was fading. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and I walked out of there with the best hair cut I think I have ever had and my color, well that was completely revived and gorgeous. The attention to detail was astounding. My greys have never been so well covered up, but not only that I am loving the dimension, depth, shine and HEALTH in my hair. Highly recommend Salon Le Volume. Just tried this new salon and I already love it. Chandler Dean did such a great job with my blonde hair. It's hard to find someone that can get just the right color. She listened to my concerns because I've had some traumatic blonde highlights before (brassy and killed my hair) so I showed her some pictures of what I was looking for and she nailed it. Cherry on top- she's so easy to chit chat with! Also, this place is really cute and clean inside. There's an adorable flower wall that you can take pics in front of once your hair is done! I found this great salon thanks to Yelp and so grateful I did. I made an appointment with Melissa and was nervous because I haven't been to another stylist since moving to the area. I had some questions about whether I should stick to highlights or try the balayage style. Melissa answered all of them and talked me through everything she was going to do. She understood what kind of look I was going for and took it into consideration, my hair turned out sooo much better than what I wanted. Azin was wonderful to work with. She was very patient with me as I tried to figure out what I actually wanted out of my haircut. I left feeling okay about the cut after my first appointment (the cut was well done, I just didn't like it on me) and she told me to let her know if I need a fix up, so I came back a few days later to get it shorter and add curtain bangs and it's exactly what I was looking for. This was my first visit to Salon Le Volume, my stylist was Abby and I must say she was great. She allotted enough time to not only color, cut & style my shoulder length hair, but to also show me other options I might consider if I wanted to go darker. I loved the voluminous volume from the blow out, as it saved me time the next few days in not really having to style, just brush and go. My color is great for summer, but will take her advice and change it up this fall by going slightly darker. Love, love the recommendations she made. read more

I have been going to Sam now for about a year and followed her from her last salon she was at because she is absolutely worth it! Honestly can say my hair has never been in such good condition as it is now. She knows exactly what I am looking for every time I go in, recommends to best product that works for my hair, and never pushes an color/cut I'm not comfortable with. The first was with Shannon, who was personable and attentive, but I felt uneasy in his chair, so I decided to give another stylist a shot. I called and they suggested Zin (Malintzin Mosqueda), who did my second and third cuts. The second was okay, though she textured the back in a way that left it standing up after a couple of weeks. I have a lot of cowlicks, so I figured we'd dial it in over time. On the third visit I mentioned I didn't love how the previous cut grew out, hoping we could work toward something better. Instead the visit went downhill. I was handed off to a less experienced stylist for the wash, who soaked my shirt and got water in my ears. During the cut I ended up with hair all over my face and down my back. When Zin said she was finished, the cut was frizzy and visibly uneven. I asked her to fix it, and she then took off a noticeable amount she'd left on the first pass, which told me the initial cut just wasn't done well. I have simple hair. Most stylists can make it look good for a week or two, and the good ones make the grow-out look clean. This grew out poorly within a week, with hair creeping around the ears that normally takes three weeks to reach that length, the back standing up, and the front lopsided. The salon does a lot right. The ambiance, the tea, the hosts, and the easy scheduling are all genuinely nice. But the core product is the haircut, and the quality was inconsistent and ultimately disappointing. After a 20% tip you're paying $90 to $100 for a men's short cut, and the result didn't come close to justifying that. I won't be back.

I came with my hair already balayaged from a different stylist, and had Hannah do some touch ups/partial blonding. My hair was blended out soo beautifully! And it was amazing how quickly she dyed my hair. I asked for face framing highlights & an ombré balayage touch up, and described what type of hair color I wanted, and she worked her magic!! Very happy with my hair :)
